on mplust-cant live without you by mplust
...wow...what a delicately sad piano melody [piano is sort of my spirit instrument, for lack of a better phrase, so it's where my ear always goes first], with nice growth/complexity in the change, without being over complicated or forced. well complimented by the appropriately simple guitar and string lines. the beat knows its place, and never encroaches on the beautiful melody it carries. solid production and mixing/mastering, as well.
really nice piece!
thanks for sharing :)

on Shut n Em Down by TheZerit
*presses play...closes eyes...slowly exhales*

I have had a relationship with this track some might call..'inappropriate'. In my defense, despite her young age, this piece sounds and acts SO mature. While I do not find it necessary to discuss whether it was her seamless cuts or artisan sculpted composition that led to the events that took place 2 nights ago when I was found in my condo, half naked, singing on top of her. I will only admit that I...that my feelings....
The track and I are in love.
The truth shall set you free.
Im off to explain to this track the joys of polygamy...while i search for my new bride among your bevy of beautiful beat brides.

((Now give up someah that mojo that makes you dodo that voodoo that you do so well!
...not nice to hog it all...
*kicks rocks*))

on Music is my life Featuring Elina Milan by FreeRadical
yes, please...I would like some more.
This track gives you the time needed to get out on the floor and shake off the outside world while preparing for the techno trance. i love a good sneaker drop...one that says, "k, ya done gearin up cause we gotta GO NOW!" The main buzz synth melody commands attention be paid, as do your well timed breaks, all while the beat..just..pumps..away.
great use of various tonal and nontonal fx thruout. loved your placement of the vox [not overdone]. skillful composition and mastering, as well.
Its a thumper, alright..exactly how i like em :)
Well done!

Thanks for that inspiring review. I was pleased with how this track turned out and was so suprised by the lack of response it got when i posted it. Ah well, i guess it's just luck of the draw these days huh?
Thanks for lending your ears.

..not much left to say, it would appear...i do not seem to be alone in my adoration of this musicscape. the tension is definitely presence, but its the underlying current of cool confidence, especially present in the masterful horn runs, that really brings this piece to a whole new level for me. its all just so....gooooooooood.
heers for the much needed inspirado. you have been a rich source of it oh these many years.
Outstanding job!

on Who is He by Dharper41
you've got some really nice lyrical cadences in this joint. they sit quite comfortably atop a well built bed with an easy going, yet a bit pensive piano strong melody.
well done :)

this track has a sinister whimsy i really dig. great cutting/arrangements of samples. drums are crisp with nice, subtle transitions to set them off. overall production value is solid.
well done!

Hey oasisduke, I really appreciate you checking out my beat. I really enjoyed making this joint. I'm a real hip hop head so I enjoy this kind of music over any other hip hop. Stay tuned for more boom bap.

ok.
...yeah.
proper.
agree with what my fellow looperFam have said. the synth melodies are gorgeous...beautifully juxtaposed with that naughty wobble you drop. solid drums, beautiful transitions and great production value overall.
yes, it is reminiscent of Flux, but ive always tried to strive not for imitation, but emulation. i think youve done just that with this track.
well done!

on Sleeping Torture by LHC
((7 downloads and not one review...*sigh*))
your synth work in this piece is nothing short of proper. great control of your wobbles. lovely pan work in the break. the drums are present, but not overpowering. creative use of drops. love the pluck melody that plays with the dirtier synths.
really nice work!

on Devils Bass by SpaceFreak
so awesome to experience the new generation of looperFam coming out and dropping dirty tracks like the veterans.
i agree with THS...the composition one this piece is quite sophisticated. im fairly certain i would say this even if i didnt know you were 12 years old. really cool transitions.
..and that main undulating bass?
fugggettaboutit!
its raunchy in all the right ways. the drums are as well...nice mix ups with them. your main synths are mean and in charge. nice use of fx, too.
i might not agree that another bass is what this song needs. i was thinking something tonal..on the high end..in a minor key. the contrast could add a dash of eerie that would really benefit the track's overall vibe.
either way, really nice job. excited to hear more of your work, little man!
:)

on Recognition - by theshobbler
this is the second time today i have scolded my looperFam for downloading and not leaving a comment. its one of my biggest pet peeves...
i couldnt agree more with VSS...dark and moody, indeed...in such a great way.
really cool use of the sweeping synth. that first drop really unleashes wobble hell on people. love that youre not afraid to let the music cut out completely at times. good use and placement of fx and vox. nice use of swell teases, too; your drops are fierce.
youve definitely got your own thing goin on...a new version of robotic/industrial dubstep. im diggin it.
well done!

on Mime - The Dooka by Dooka
i usually try to be quite poignant in my reviews...detailed and constructive...but every once in a while, i come across a track i just like. this is one of them. i love how your main melody travels from one instrument/synth to another. makes the whole track cohesive. like the drums. like the bit of ambient vibe its got going on.
..just like it..

well done :)

on MuzicIzMee4Ever - Why Cant You Love Me - TP Remix by TallPaul
theres a lot goin on in this song...and it all seems to work. youve done a nice job fitting what could have been a tricky vox. nice keys and guitar riffs thruout. solid transitions and good definition of the hook.
nice work!

thanks :-) true, I often need to go back and strip down a track, as I get tempted to make it too busy. Had a listen to Breathe, really works for me, vocal crisp and intense, off beat groove. Also End of Days, I can see that working well at live gigs, strong melody and energy !

on Imaginary Love Music by Dusthill by LisMarie
i agree with jody...you dont need autotune. i dig the whole, "sounds like a legit track with it on", but with a good voice like yours, it actually does the opposite. i use audacity for all of my demos..its super easy, and like jody said, its free.
another thing that makes a song sound like a "real" track is a very definite structure. youve got some awesome verses, but i think a solid hook is missing..something thats left behind in my head after the track ends. doubling your voice [and adding an effect to the double] on whatever you want the hook to be is an easy and effective way of differentiating it from the verses.
glad i found you. youve got talent and it will be exciting to watch it blossom here on the Loop :)
cheers!

on One Chance by JC2010
great synth melody. its not always easy to use a gated electro synth line and still keep it hippy hoppy, but youve done just that. drums, especially that nice bass, is make sure of that. nice use of fx thruout. good transitions and drops. great sound engineering. production value is solid. chill groove you got here...
goodonya!

on Tribal Ambient Thing by ade1980
your "title" sure suits the track; it is definitely tribal ambient...in all the right ways. the drums are so primal. youve got some really cool minor melodies playing off of each other, as well. great use of fx and vox to summon transitions. sound engineering is solid. my only critique would be i feel the drums could be a bit more behind your melodic elements, only because they are too good to be lost in the sweet pound of that tom.
really nice work!

Thanks, OasisDuke. Much appreciated for the feedback. Yeah i might give it another bash in a bit. Just working on some vox for something else which i'll upload in a minute and people can have a play around with them. good times! :O)

what a pretty piano melody. i agree with Boxa that the flute may be a bit too loud at times, but its still quite good. love the mini guitar riff used in transition. production value is on point.
very sweet track.
nice work!

on Jason Wessels- All Nice and Happy-Pre-Release by Wobblelover
awww..this track really did make me grin. and i couldnt agree more with the vox :)
really nice wobble and synth melody. the drums are good and solid, too. i think all this needs is a bit of compression so after the drop sounds a bit clearer.
well done!

on HIT ME ON MY I PHONE by gopostle
this is definitely commercial, well done. nice, simple bouncy beat that is the perfect backdrop for your spit. the only thing i might suggest is adding a chick singing some counter hook. quite frankly, im not even sure it needs to be a female, just a melodically non complicated two line counter would bring some good texture to this already solid track.
cheers!
