some nice ideas here brother.. the wobbles are nice but they just lack something which I think would come from thickness maybe paying some more attention to a sub would fix that.. the drums probably need a little more reverb just to give them a little more edge.. don't get me wrong I love the track.. just needs a little more work.. keep 'em coming brother

Sorry for the late reply! Hey thanks for the kind words! I definitely like 80's music, I'm glad you agree that it shows through in my tracks. Yeah I'm impressed that this one has gotten so many reviews, must be the title or something, heh. I appreciate your review my friend!

some nice ideas here brother...the production needs a little work but I'm sure you already know that.. the vocals need to come down in the mix to stop that clicking.. other than that like i've already said there are some nice ideas.. keep 'em coming brother

Thanks for the review. You're right concerning the production,I highly appreciate your constructive criticism.I remixed the track and added a lead guitar track and Wayne added some percussions if you wanna listen.
Thanks again

first off I have to say this type of music ain't my bag at all.. I was there in the hay day of hardcore.. then called happy hardcore (well here in the uk) there are some good ideas here just need some more work... that kick drum needs to be a bit more varied, sounds like a 909.. am I right? extend it a bit push the envelope because at the mo it's a little mono tone ... single dimensional ..ya know.. that synth that kicks in at 1:40 is great and the synth that follows.. as I say it's not a bad track it just needs a little more work.. keep 'em coming brother

loved the start to this brother.. nice bass.. the track is little on the low side maybe just adjust that master volume slightly.. love the acapella nicely used... for me this track just lack a good reece bass line other than that ... it's nicely produced..

keep 'em coming brother

there are some really nice ideas here brother.. just for me the beep over takes everything in the track i get that you want it to be a focal point but it's just a little too high in the mix.. ya bass line all though deep and wobbly as it should be.. is a little muddy maybe it's because you using effects on your sub(something jahknow taught me you shouldn't do... he really is quite a knowledgeable fellow ) or maybe it's that your just too low on the scale I don't know for sure.. the drum track is a good mix of sounds perhaps need a touch less low end cause remember anything in that low end is going to take away from ya sub.. having said all that I don't dislike the track.. these aren't criticisms they're just suggestions for a few little tweaks...

keep 'em coming brother

nice glitchy feel to this track brother.. almost like the stuff trent reznor did for the se7en soundtrack.. some very kool ideas quite abstract.. an enjoyable listen almost cinematic flavour.. keep 'em coming brother

on Maybe Today You Can Live by Verge
some nice ideas here brother..I can see where you where going with it but as has been said before in your other reviews it's a little bit mono tone and nothing really happens until well over 4 mins in.. the drum sounds are well produced with need some layering to give you the definition of the kick and snare.. as the other reviews have also said there is a serious lackage of sub here which would again give you definition... quite unlike you brother.. nevermind.. keep 'em coming
Verge
Verge replied Unknown
Yeah, I don't really know what happened with the sub in this one. It all sounded fine until I heard it afterwards. o.o

Will eventually upload the fixed version. Maybe. Sometime... >>

ok..... so.... I've listened to your three latest tracks and with out sounding like I'm repeating myself that wobble seems to be too high for me.. also this seems to be part one or two of still unknown.. are they the same track? again without trying to repeat myself you are gonna need more layer on ya bass.. the subs are right there but the rest seem weak.. but there are some great ideas here brother keep 'em coming
Bifta
Bifta replied Unknown
Thanks for the listen and the advise, still working on it yes there both the same track but still unknown is a more recent edit/attempt

there are some nice ideas here brother.. it just seems to go in to much of a straight line..not enough variation ya know? for me your wobble is a little to high maybe take it down past C3 in your piano roll and maybe just a tiny bit too clean.. it might just be it needs a few more layers or maybe putting through some kinda vocoder or ring mod.. I don't know.. maybe it's just me.. anyway like I've said I like your ideas.. keep 'em coming brother

some nice ideas here brother I've always liked the idea of taking dnb to other place and this track does that.. perfectly.. fantastic production as always.. very 80's theme to it but at the same time add those pendulum influences.. loved it .. keep 'em coming brother

Hey thanks for stopping to check out this track! I'm glad you could get into my odd style of DnB. 80's theme, huh, I guess I know what you mean. Thanks very much for the kind review!

I like some of the ideas you've got here brother but like you said the sound quality aint too great.. that really doesn't distract from a great track brother.. the synths are very nicely done and the bass is menacing enough.. maybe I could review better if I listened to it in a better sound quality.. you up loaded any where else? anyway keep 'em coming brother

hey brother.. I recently started trying my hand at dubstep.. not as easy as it sounds is it? for me your drum are completely lost underneath that monster bass.. seriously need some compression there brother or just turn them down in the mix louder is not always better.. I'm not gonna be mean to you cause dubstep is hard as a hard thing thats extremely hard I would how ever say have another go and try and keep it so you can hear the whole mix not just one element.. keep 'em coming brother.. if at first you don't succeed..

some nice ideas here brother.. the production is great.. I like the reeces and the lower end sub.. maybe for me the synth could probably come up in the mix a little more.. and that drop at 3:34 ish needs to be fill a little more because it's very long maybe a run on that sub would work.. I like this alot more than the original.. keep 'em coming brother

ok... was think there was some nice ideas here.. then it ended... only seemed to get 39 secs of your track.. not sure if it's the player thats at fault or what.. anyway... what I did hear was nicely produced everything as it should be... I do how ever have issues with your description of your track... "blah" not exactly descriptive is it.. don't know if you've noticed but if you look at your tracks the ones with the more descriptive descriptions have the most reviews, just saying... anyway nice if not short keep 'em coming brother

some nice ideas here brother.. I'm a lover of that deep almost terminator style bass... the only thing I would say is is needs to come up in the mix so you can really shake some windows.. nice production maybe the master could come up a bit but thats just me trying to find holes.. keep 'em coming

it's nice to hear the soul of Mr Reznor in this whole track.. brother the break downs you can so tell you are a N.I.N fan truly some great work and pretty good production.. the only thing I would say is that the violin needs to come down a little in the mix it seem to over take a bit in those break downs maybe some reverb would help take the edge off a bit..just an Idea... MY hats is off to you brother.. truly great keep 'em coming

ok I'm going be brave here..mostly because nobody has been brave enough yet to tell me where I'm going wrong with my dubstep track.. over all you've got the general idea when it comes to the sounds your just lack a sub bass sound and that overlap of the lfo's that works so well for the likes of RESO.. the beat works well but you don't mix it up an awful lot there's no stop start there that you would hear with most dubstep tracks.. I would love to give you some great advice but I find it hard getting my head around producing dubstep as well.. maybe we could help one another? but I would check out this http://www.boyinaband.com/tutorials/dubstep-tutorial/ it's quite good if you got reason

Hey man, really appreciate you takin the time to point out what i need to change about this one. I cooked it up in about 3 hours start to finish so there's no real technical stuff thrown into it. You're right about the stop and starts with the drums, that is something i wasn't really taking into account and thinking back that makes a huge difference. This track was more about playing with the synths i have to get the right sound for the bass but giving it another listen this morning i think i was a long way off. The dubstep i like, and want to produce, is stuff like Excision, Datsik, Black Sun Empire (i know they are dnb but have you heard their tune Hyper Sun?? dude check it on youtube its mind blowing) I use FL studio for now, waiting on getting a new laptop in the next month or so to switch programs. but im still not sure if i want to cus FL has pretty much everything i need as far as i can tell. In any case man. I'm definitely down for working with you on getting on top of our game. i'm gonna check out some of your tunes now and hopefully return the same level of criticism.
Much appreciated bro,
TJ

ok so there are some nice ideas here brother.. what software you using? your profile doesn't say.. it would be useful to help people give you advice .. what ever your using I would say your master volume needs to go up just a touch.. I love the eastern feel you've got going on here.. reminds me of some documentary about the desert.. very mystical.. keep 'em coming brother I would just devote some more time to polishing your production
