Great muted intro and I really like the moment the beat kicks in. Nice vocalism and lyricism, crisp layers, nice pace, overall great production. Only thing the beat and melody faded out a bit abruptly at 2:30, could be another way to transition (maybe just chop it off at 2:27?) but this is being picky, keep this up & happy new year - DF
This has a certain Lion King vibe, where Simba's wearing his hat a lil crooked... nice journey through your creative mind on this track, production is top notch, well done. - DF
Laid back vibe here, I enjoyed the simplicity of the melody, allows for the vocals to shine. Nice bridge at the 2:00 mark ;) I hope to see some acapellas from you sometime... - DF
Thanks, DFury:) I'm using my built-in mic,the sound quality is poor, that's why I am not uploading any acapellas. However, I'll try to change that and upload smth in future :)
Slowly making my way through the girls only forum and here I am, nice to meet ya Vessi. I like your track it has some great potential... the bpm is catchy, the beat itself is complex enough though I'd say try to find a bridge somewhere in there to change things up for a couple bars or so. Voice is mesmerizing, I'll check out your other track and will be on lookout for you, take care. - DF
Hi ya, DFury:):)
thank you for reviewing and listening,I'll defintely put some bridges, cause the line is too flat and monotonous right now...
I'm so glad there are people here who help me a lot.:):)thanks again :)
Solid track, just right amount of ups and downs, great melody. Frankly I'm a bit embarrassed at the poor showing as far as reviews, 232 plays and some downloads... sad. Anyway this is the first I've seen of you, thanks to the girls only thread. No worries not stalking, just meeting ;) I'll keep an ear out for ya. - DF
This is a well developed sequence, subtle changes keep it interesting all the way through, nice use of reverb and glitchy effects, synth melodies play well together... you got a nice trancy dnb production ;) Keep it up. - DF
This is back country hillbilly rave ho down! Super creative, well put together, can't go wrong with some good ole fiddles. Like the bass that drops in at 1:50. Funny title! - DF
Dig the drop at 0:40, funky upbeat vibe here has a nice feel throughout though lost me a bit at 2:40-3:30... I like the idea, just felt like it dragged a tad though may be just my personal preference so no worries there. Nice work. - DF
Cheers for good review DF. The trick with bass patches in this style is to create or sample a subbass and lowpass filter it. Then copy it and lowpass filter the copy and continue with the process until yr happy with the result. The fast bass on "frankie" that rinses the track after the big drop is in fact the original bass played an octave above. Adding Portamento or pitch bend gives it bounce too. Ed Rush and Optical alledgedly make tonnes of copies of basslines processing them more and more with fx until they get the result they want... I'm not even close to their level but that is the trick to good bouncy grimey bass sounds. You need a good bass sound to begin with.... Remember the golden rule... Rubbish in equals Rubbish out! Hope that helps and happy New yr!
Excellent perception and execution, feels like my speakers are ready to throw down. I like how you started with a holiday seed and grew it into a righteous gnarl twister. See you round the site. - DF
You've got some talent, another great hard hitting track. It's a shame people are a bit shy or shallow on the site.... 73 plays, 5 downloads, only 2 reviews :( Anyway this has nice flow, mixing sounds spot on to me - DF
What a way for me to start off the day!!! I know I've reviewed before but was reminded how much I like this very much. Stephanie's soft sultry breathy voice is.. well.. just that. Gives this classical guitar hip hopness a nice touch, once more well done. - DF
Liked this production from the very start. If you know me at all here I like to give what I consider well rounded critiques... lots of compliments and some improvement ideas. Beat is great, pads fit perfectly, bass is deep and catchy. Only consideration is the vocals, don't take this bad though I think your track could be absolutely banging by tweaking the vocals, whether sang or rapped. Again, this is terrific much respect. - DF
I'm with Thethanks, while the vocal sample is very nice it's overused and that takes away from the enjoyment after a while. However, it's a wonderful track, I don't mean to take away from the overall quality ok just trying to be helpful. See you around the site. - DF
Great sound, I like the melody and how it's well balanced with synth and deep beats. May I suggest (?) that after a brief pause at 1:38 (currently the end), you drop right back into the song to start a second act - maybe a plan of yours already - to make this into a full-length killer track. Keep this up I'm especially impressed with your musical maturity considering your age, keep this passion up. - DF
No worries I'm not becoming a stalker... your stuff is curiously different in many ways and I can't help but comment once again. This piece takes your style to another level I think. Be careful though, the panning and volumes are sometimes a bit too much or unbalanced but I suspect you plan to address mastering when you decide to complete. Hope I know to check out finished version, no time like today right? Lates. - DF
Another great creation, the synth is bad ass for obvious reasons so no need to dwell on that, I particularly like how beat boxing makes up the rhythm, is that you by chance? Digging your stuff, faved. - DF
This is nice, piano is crisp and technically funky and fun, synth melody is good interplay with piano, this is very cool, left/right pan dedicated to instruments is funky in itself and a cool touch. Have you considered layering in bass guitar to give it even more depth? Creativity at its best, keep it up. - DF
TNX for the kind words. Left/Right pan is that way because I recorded this very lazily. One keyboard the synth is the left channel and the other (keys piano and drum machine) are right channel. live record, on shot.
