on Blakezip - Let You Go by EliBurgess
I like the song! I think you can improve the mix a bit; I hear some clipping/distortion in the vocals which may not be necessary (maybe recorded to hot?), and I would actually want the vocal to pop a bit more. Good start though!

ye ur right, I didnt mix this at all except putting a soft clipper and a limiter on the master.

on take me back - lofi by NikolaCPH
Yeah what he said. I want to hear the full song, because I feel the second half will be even better. Awesome start though, good voice, good everything, very promising!

on I dream of you by Janijackflash
So beautiful. Stunning Jani!! Indeed it could be a great closing song for a movie, or something with broad sweeping landscapes. C'est superbe!

Hello BaoBou,
Hello, I mistakenly submitted another unfinished composition that I removed and replaced with the correct cinematic soundtrack.

Kindly regard

on Hollow Legs Trek by yuggy5
That is a delicious beat and bass loop and the guitar makes it even better. The thing introduced from 0:49 is less my taste, but I might just rip off that bass and guitar idea because that is absolutely awesome. It could be a Bootsy Collins thing, that's how delicious it is.
Instead of the pingy synth, I think it could fit a good rap and make it even stronger!

Glad you enjoyed it buddy! Go for it. Good call on the synth thing. I was a little unsure myself -= it seems to lessen the funksomeness ... Be good to hear what you create with it.

on Rare by F Sinatra by theSINGLOT
Very nice. Good melodies too! The acapella doesn't really fit though (neither in key not rhythm) and I don't think you need it either, it would be great without it. Think about it!

is the problem of not being a musician and not knowing keys or entoinations.

In my head it sounds good, but after ... hahaha

Thank you very much for your comment

on Together by Majordrey
This is a lovely song man. Great Afrobeat vibe, but still your own thing.
As or putting it on your EP... well, if you have enough good tracks that you can debate leaving this out, then you must be in a good place, musically :)

That's pretty good! Loads of potential, will you build on it further? It deserves to be a full song, just write some lyrics :)

on Nighttime by dvnmusic
It's a good start, but one thing to remember; you now have basically one thing you say in a number of different ways. That's great, but you can make it more interesting by combining it with a related idea, or even 3 or 4. Try to reverse it, do the opposite, create a break, any of those things make it a richer song and will give you more satisfaction :)
Good luck!!

on New Day by dvnmusic
Dude, this is a really good track, the only thing you have to change is the drums. Melody and vocals are top notch, so see if you can have a bit richer drums and you're in business!

Yeah much better. Well done man! It's one of the joys (and trappings) of Looperman that you can actually change tracks, titles and descriptions, contrary to eg Youtube, so why not enjoy it :)

on forever yours by terryjmhitsong
Very smart song and a great idea - reminds me of some of the great comedy songs (like the Axis of Awesome - Four Chord Song). It's also a good song, although I think you could make it even better with a bridge (in a slightly different chord structure). All in all, you know I love your songs, just giving ideas :)
Singing is also solid btw!
terryjmhitsong
terryjmhitsong replied 14th Oct 2020 - 5 years ago

on STRINGZ Orchestral Type Beat Wiz Khalifa yea yup by Prodcde
The symphonic part is really good, I enjoyed that; but I think you can work on the melody, make it richer and make the track even better! Good luck man, and thanks a lot for your comments on mine!

on Good morning my love by Janijackflash
Again really well done! But in this track I feel it wants to end around 2:10; so if you then continue, I think you need to add something extra; add some timpani drums, horns, a countermelody, something to wake you up and get you on the edge of your seat again.

Still, your tracks are extremely musical, very well written, beautiful melodies. My compliments and post more stuff here, looking forward to it.

on So brittle Earth by Janijackflash
Bonjour Jani, c'est tres bon ca! Very nice holiday feel in the track (the Mandolin makes it feel almost Greek/bouzouki).

This would be such a nice ballad - it'll be easy to write lyrics to it because it is already poetry. Great stuff!

on SMOKE x FUTURE BASS by BackgroundRiot
My favorite thing here is when I can say: "this is not my style, but I like it". And you've done it; I thought about skipping the track that says "future bass" (eew) and then I clicked it and guess what? I like it!!
Well done man!

Thank you very much! Yeah i know its not everyones taste. I just found out, that its very fun to produce. My friend asked me to change/edit it into a new genre.

If u like Deep House / House with an experimental touch, ure welcome to visit my Soundcloud page and give also the edit a try... (RiceRollRecords or Chiraeth)

Anyway... thank u very much, u made my day!
Bless you! XOXO

on Popcorn by chell55
I like it. Good sounds, and as the title says, very chill track. I can see you sitting on your porch at the beach side with a nice capirinha and some windchimes.
The ending is a bit sudden, any chance you can for instance fade it out or end it with something similar to the intro?
chell55
chell55 replied 14th Oct 2020 - 5 years ago
Thank you! Exactly the kind of vibe i was going for! I was thinking the same thing. I changed it..ill probably go back and do it again though kinda rushed.

on shatterproof by phantomproduction
All your tracks are SO pleasant to listen to man. BTW love the avatar, I see a Fender (or copy), an Ibanez... and is that a Warwick bass?

BTW I am so freaking jealous of your singer... her voice is so awesome, but then again, you are a really good musician and songsmith too, so I guess that makes sense :)

hi baobu !! no no it's a real American strato from 1975 with a passive humbucker "di marzio" at the bridge, an "ibanez" RG 08 ltd and an American bass "Transfer" with "house" pickups (made by a friend in France) that happiness !!
tanks for all bro !!

on Moonlight Wrinkle in Time Final Version by killenkenobi
I think you have something potentially really good here, but personally I have some quibbles:
- I love the vocals. Nice and simple, good voice
- I don't like the stereo left-to-right effect. That's wayyyy too much for my ears - but then if you listen to my tracks you would probably say I know nothing about mixing and mastering, and you'd be right :D I'm also an old man, so whatever I like or not, is not that relevant
- I think your mix could be a bit more crisp (although I'm not entirely sure what that means) in the sense that I would like the vocals to pop a bit more. give the high a bit more space?
Still, this is a really good track; just don't go overboard on effects your track doesn't need. Good luck man!

on THE CHOKE - Royal Blood Boxing Club DEMO by thechockehold
I actually have a piano (Petrof) but I don't dare to play it in my tiny appartment with neighbours on all sides. But this is certainly inspiring... a real piano is still better than a Roland. Well done man!!
thechockehold
thechockehold replied 13th Oct 2020 - 5 years ago
I've tried Petrof grand once, they pretty similar to modern ESTONIA pianos. The best thing about modern weighted electhic pianos and synths is the speed of key return so you can play really fast. I mostly have vintage ones, so expirience some limitations caused by mechanism's amortization. Thanks!
