Nice work, Mund. Everything works together very well, especially Elaine's vox. I think Metal always sounds better with mellow female vox, and you just proved my theory. All in all, very professional work.
When I started writing this track, the introduction was very long, so I cut unnecessary guitar solos ... I think it was good ... Thanks for the review ..
I think this shows a lot of promise, dude. Maybe break up the monotony of the guitar with a couple of different loops (like a couple of choruses and maybe a bridge), add some drums and bass, and I think you've got a winner. All in all, a great effort.
Acoustic guitars: great. Electric guitars: great. Hammond: great. Drums: great. Bass: great. Song: great. Corona? Make mine a Dos Equis with lemon. Hats off to you, Bill. Cheers!
If I didn't know better, I'd swear this piece was an acoustic collab between Bob Fripp and Adrian Belew. But what else could I expect from a guy who uses a King Crimson album cover for an av? Fantastic track, Jamie. I mean it ~ simply fantastic.
Soft piano, mellow guitars, chimes ~ this is perfect Jazz Fusion. Has that softly haunted essence which is found in some of Hancock's earlier mellow pieces. Great stuff, mon!
Excellent track, dude. Although you tagged it as "techno jazz", to me the keyboard work is very reminiscent of Dave Brubeck and Don Fagan. Very nice indeed, mate.
Nice track, Het. Very reminiscent of early Metallica (except for the Death Metal vox). The bridge near the end is quite unique and interesting. Job well done, bro.
"Very reminiscent of early Metallica"
Ye, thought the same after creating the instrumental parts... but I´m better at the death metal vocs than at the thrash metal ones, so... xD
"The bridge near the end is quite unique and interesting."
thx man, thought first that clear vox would fit better there, but it´s kinda weird how well growling fits on everything :D
Great track, bro, in the vein of classic "epic" metal. The synth choir, bells, and piano remind me of bands like King Diamond and Mercyful Fate. And the guitar riffs are top-notch.
Good tune, bro. Got some nice "classic" metal riffs there ~ kinda reminds me of SOAD. Throw in a sick solo and some sweet female vocals (a la Otep Shamaya) and I think you've got a hit.
Again, another track with that haunting, ethereal quality. The piano invokes images of angels crying - teardrops from heaven. Although I'm a renowned headbanger, I've always had an appreciation for minimalistic music, and this one is one of the best.
Never really got into disco, but I must say that I'm somewhat impressed with this track. Nice bass and keys, great vox, very good mix - had me tappin' me feets all the while.
I read the story, started the track, and closed my eyes. I could see, in my mind's eye, the laboratory, the mad scientist, the creature, everything a good horror movie needs to be effectively terrifying. The dark strings break at 1:54 invoked visions of the creature coming to life, with the deep-growling synth adding a voice to the pitiful monster's loneliness and dismay. A very moving track, Peppermint - very moving indeed.
Excellent track, bro. Kinda strays away from the classic type blues, which really adds a lot of interest. And the vocals are simply haunting. Downloaded and faved, man - I salute you.
Awesome freakin' track, dude. The dark feel of the strings really accentuates Elaine's pella superbly, and the tremolo guitar part is fantastic. I've been working on a tune (tentatively titled "Walkin' In The Dark") which features synthesized tremolo guitar.
In any case, bro, this track is just one more in a long line of excellence. Kudos to you and your massive talent, my friend.
thx Mike!!
I really love the sound of a tremolo, it's incredible ... fitted perfectly to pianosounds string loop ... and Elaine's poem is just brilliant, can't say that often enough!!
thx for your review, well appreciated!!
One bad-ass riff, bro - really dark and nasty. I'd love to hear this one fleshed out with more rhythm guitar, some screamin' lead, and snarlin' vox. I think you've got the foundation of an unforgettable metal track here.
Interesting combination of loops, but they all seem to work together rather well. I think you've got a winner with this one when you get the vocals down. All in all, a very nice track.
I played around with this pella myself for a while, but got nowhere with it. I think you've done an amazing job with it. The music really captures, and accentuates, the flavor of the vocals. Absolutely perfect!
