Wow! Nice stuff. Hard driving rock track. Love the distortion on the guitar. Gonna have to download it. Your playing? Good. This is pure rock though, no Hip Hop here. I do agree with Matrix_one that a good drum track would make this good track even better. The bass and guitar are very good.

on Jazzechno Interlude by Steevo
Nice jazzy track. More melody than I would expect from a jazz track in a sense. Not making myself real clear here but it sounded a bit more than just a jazz track. Maybe a bit of modern Techno/House influence. I liked it.

Yeah I know what you mean, you can't really hang on to anything in a Proper jazz track. Gonna change the genre as you suggest, anyho glad you liked and thanks for the review.

This is a nice one jfw. It appeals to my sense of the exotic. It really does seem almost Cinematic. It is very listenable and I especially like the change near the end. The orchestral elements are very pretty.

on Something To Remeber by DoaniDeejay
Solid stuff as always Doani. Very good House piece. Well-mixed, nice. Very listenable as you indicated. What's with the downloads and no reviews? I get that all the time. The downloads part is nice (means people want to put in on their iPods) but it would be nice to hear a congrats or something. Well in any case I'm downloading it too Doani. Always professional really good stuff you do. You're one of my favorite consistant artists on Looperman. Keep it up. Cheers.

I know what you mean about the review , but this is in every site form this kind i guess , you don't have to care about it so much , its ok , and is enough to know that peoples listen and like your music even if they are not writing review

on Untitled Featuring Love Beth Drew Mix 2 by Spivkurl
This is quite good Spiv. It's got a nice compelling beat and melody. It's the kind of thing I might hear in a Beat club of the late 60's. You know, the ethereal poetry reading in a SF bookstore with the very cool beat music playing in the background. Original. Nice stretch.
Spivkurl

I know what you mean about the beat club, my wifes words really add to that vibe. She makes some great prose and poetry. Thank you very much for listening and commenting!

on Motown Throwdown ft Buddahmann and posse edit 3 by victormusic01x
Good one Victor. It did make me smile a couple of times. Well mixed. Nice blend of loops. I agree with Spivkurl on the mastering. This track could use some punch to make it even better. Some compression would help. The vocals especially at the beginning reminded me of one of my early favorite DJ's, Master Zap and his track "Freedom 4 all". I liked how this track takes it time. Nice beat. Very nice piece.

on Club Love RnB Insturmental by DustHill
Nice one Dusty. RnB with a little Hip-Hop flavor. This one would probably benefit from a singer I agree. It seems like your branching out and I like where it's going. Course when I hear the first DustHill Trance/Techno track I will acknowledge that you have made the full circle...lol. This is a good step, nice melody. Easy on the ears. I'm gonna download it and maybe mix in a little vocal as an experiment. If it's not horrible I'll send it back to you. If it is you'll never hear from me again... :P (just kidding...lol)
Cheers,

Damn good Xtaticauk. I've been missing you for awhile. I still play some of your stuff I downloaded in the past. Pounding Trance Dance track! Well-produced as always. This one is getting downloaded for sure and I've got to fav it. Just plain good Trance. Excellent voice integration btw. Track moves right along.

on Run Away by CalifKen
I'm liking the sounds and direction Ken. I think you nicely integrated that Holly acapella in this one. Very rough in the mix of course as you indicated. You've got about 5 songs here I think...lol. A CalifKen trademark I'm thinking. It sounds like you're jamming on this one. A single track just cannot contain CalifKen. :P Nice addition to the music arsenal. Keep em coming.

on Bienvenidos en mi casa by Dembow
Catchy. Nice beat. Latin flavor. I like most of your stuff Dembow especially the Dance tracks. Which this is more than House I think. Some House elements but a definite Dance flair. Makes me want to dance anyway...lol. Good job. Will download it.

on Dance with Me by Vizronics
Wow nice! How have I missed your stuff? Very professional. Well put together. Very nice integration of vocals. Good mixing job. This is a classic Dance track. Sounds like 70's or 80's. I'm thinking Cathy Dennis "Touch Me" or "Just another Dream". Very well done! I'll check out some of your other stuff and put you on my "rotation". (Good Grief, that sounds very radio doesn't it...lol).

Vizronics replied Unknown
cmon, it doesnt sound that dated! Sounds like the stuff I heard in the club last weekend. I never heard anything in the 70's that sounded like this...and i was alive then.

on Quiet Aftertrance by CalifKen
I liked it CalifKen. Needs a slightly better mastering job I think. I'm having fun with Ozone 4 from Izotope and it's incredible for that job as an example. It would give the bottom end more "punch" and rest of it more brightness. I liked the melody. Hmmm... there does appear to a 25 or so second "gap" at the end of silence. Good job all around.
CalifKen
CalifKen replied Unknown
Ah my ozone trial just expired - but perhaps the coolest mastering thing ever it was for sure. LOVED it. It is indeed the best I've used so far. Thanks for that!!

on Summer Rain by Cyryus08
This is a lovely piece to quote MrE. Very pretty and easy to listen to. It's ballad material I also agree. Very nice piano (I'm always partial to piano) and that guitar goes perfectly. The piano seems a little bright to me in the mix. I think if it could match the timbre of the guitar it would even be better. But very beautiful nonetheless.

on I Gave Somwhr n ur Soul LUV U HATE U INSP by Holly by CalifKen
Good track CalfiKen. It's pretty nice. I do sometimes get the feeling of hearing more than one song when I'm listening to your stuff. It feels that you're trying to sometimes pack too much into each piece. You should try taking just one of the themes in here for instance and develop it and see where it takes you.
CalifKen
CalifKen replied Unknown
I followed your advice - updated the track. There might still be some inconsistencies with the key and pitch, however from this point on, I will be applying your advice to what I do. That's not the first time I've heard that, and it's time I grow out of it. Thank you!

on DVE feat Mr Doll - Fire In She Waist by BassRider
This is pretty good. Catchy melody. A little bright on the mix but it works. Poor Mr.Doll didn't get much air time...lol. However that guy is so talented I can see why you wanted to use him. (It's in my plans too).

on And Love by KaptainZero
Good track. I would mirror the comments by GameBoiX. I think the vocal could be given more dimension with some effect(s). Piece is too short btw, I could have listened to more. I like the production values you use, crisp, well-balanced, clean are words I'd use.

on Against the House by FreshAyer
Deep House it is. Nice track. Vocals work well. I love the counter point synth in another key. Drum line could have more impact. That's a mixing and compression issue (I'm learning that stuff now). I agree with some of the other reviews on the female vocal at the end in that I think the piece could be longer and you could work that out longer but overall a Deep House piece should almost be somewhat ambient in my opinion. Good job.

Good stuff Lofthouse! Well produced as usual. I've always liked your music. Rocking. Good Dance material. I feel I can identify your distinctive style. A nice track. Should have some more reviews. Maybe this will start them. I'm noticing reviews are light lately in general. Maybe it's Summer but this track is too good not to be recognized. Keep it up!

on Dancing in the Dreamtime by n0mad23
Nice Nomad! (I feel I must Sterilize!...Sterlize!..Sterlize!.. lol, sorry...reference to Captain Kirk) Good Ambient... but with a slight edge. Exotic. Not what I would call mellow but I like ambient tracks with a twist. This is Cinematic in nature and could be used as background track in some sort of space epic. I can imagine it in Battlestar Galatica in some of those scenes with the Cylon Baseships. Dreamy... but with a slightly sinister edge. Really good!
n0mad23
n0mad23 replied Unknown
Yeah I can see this as "cinematic" and I can also see a crowd in a darkened club writhing in slow motion behind this one. I think because of my visual nature (even sonically) I've always had a tendency to do stuff that's inherently cinematic, but hopefully I'm blurring the boundaries a bit in the process as well. I'm really glad you liked your listen. Cheers and thanks for the encouragement!

Nice stuff Dembow. I like most of your tracks. You've got a good feel for these tracks. I like the "extras" you put in your tracks, the bows and saws, etc. Nice. Catchy melodies. I play your Ven baby quite often on my iPod and I'm adding this one too.
Keep it up. :)
