on Silence is a song (with Johnny Gadget) by Cybertooth
Interesting track man, epic and ambitious. Cool voice sample too.

EDIT: I don't get what you're saying.

Old school man, get the feeling you've been listening to this kind of music since the early 90's. Sounds legitimately old school man. Nice top line melody when it comes in too.

on christmas time by iIiPoetryiIi
Wow, love the piano in this man. That's a very serious piano line right there. Would love to do a version of that.

EDIT: just heard the end when your little boy come in! Haha! Awesome, must be the youngest MC I've heard. When I do have kids I'm looking forward to getting them into music myself fam. : )

Let me know if you want to do a collabo on this, if you sent me the piano MIDI I could write a equally sick track around it. Very serious man.

on All I Brought Was A Guitar And An Open Mind by BluntsAndBeats
It's weird how similar this sounds to the collab track I posted the other day with Pianosounds. A few of the melodies are almost identical...

Weird.

Go listen to my Track Tooth for a Tooth and you'll see what I mean. It's pretty mad how close they are.

EDIT: That almost sounded like I was saying it's a rip off which I know it's not, was just taken back for a minute! We must be like minded musically.

SECOND EDIT: Cool just making sure.
BluntsAndBeats
BluntsAndBeats replied Unknown
i love that song of yours actually haha I just listened to it a few minutes ago. I'm not as skilled as you though cause that jam is sick. Have it as a favorite.

Well if in fact we are like minded, and one day I can make them as good as you, i have something to look forward to :) I didnt think you were saying it was a ripoff either, well I wouldnt care really if you did say that haha I just make and listen to music for pure enjoyment.

Thanks for listening!

on together by flawliss
Big, big beat. Really feeling that man. Good to see you're doing all sorts of styles too man. Only think I will say is the vocal stab in the verse is a little roughly cut. That's the only little thing that doesn't sound quite there. The rest is top quality fam.

PS: Maybe add a little reverb to it? Could help make the cut sound a little less sharp. Might be worth trying.

Ah, Ok. I get you. How did you know my name was Richard, or did you mean to type something else? I take it you did as that would be an incredible guess! Haha!

You shouldn't bother taking bigs tracks if this is the kind of quality you're coming up with. Please send me the inst, would love to do a version fam.

on Enveloped by KnownAsn1
Nice like the pitch bent high synth in this, really brings it together nicely. Good melodies too.

EDIT: Also that's fresh hat in your picture, if you haven't seen a film called "Fear of a Black Hat" you need to check it, you'll be appreciating the head gear in it!

KnownAsn1 replied Unknown
Thank you for both the song and the hat compliment. I haven't seen the movie but will have to now :P As for the hat, it's not really mine, I borrowed it at my senior grad party at the photo-booth. I seriously want that hat though.

Nice man, Chrono Cross is ancient now. My fav RPG was Grandia 2, best battle system in an RPG ever imo.

Cool track man, good to see another VG fan on here. Keep em coming.

on Angkor by SoundBoy
Are you using Fruity yeah? My friend showed me the synth wave manipulator in that the other day and it looked sick. Wish there was something so easy to navigate in Logic, I'd be up for some wobbley D-Step.

Cool man, like it. Good synth work, nice drums and I like the flute sample too.

EDIT: No worries man, and yes of course you can do it in Logic all synths have Osc's I think, it's just it's not as clear and well laid out as Fruity. I highly recommend Logic tho, it's an excellent program. Keep it up fam. : )

SoundBoy replied Unknown
Thanks for the review man, glad you liked it.

No I'm using Acid Pro, wish i had logic tho. For the lead wobble i used Albino 3 and just automated the lfo frequency. I'm pretty sure you can do that in logic, with its built in plugins or something like albino.

on Full Instrumental Track by guitarjock
Just edited my review/reply in your other track saying you probably won't like what I'm up to. But didn't realise you were doing Hip-Hop too. Cool man, some good elements and solid sounding drums. Maybe get one more synth or sound in there that cuts though a little more. Needs something in there that lifts up above the rest of the sounds. obviously a vocal will have that effect, but I mean on top of that too.

Nice man, Metal and Hip Hop, you're a man after my own heart fam.
guitarjock
guitarjock replied Unknown
Yes. I agree with you. I wrote most of this one using a couple of Korg Synths. I need to break them out and mess with them some more to see what I can come up with.

A long time ago I was close minded and only into metal. Then I had this really cool roommate who was into Hip Hop and Rap. I turned him on to metal and guitars and he got me listening to Hip Hop. It's cool when people open their minds and ears and realize that there's all kinds of great music out there they've been missing.

It's cool that you're into Hip Hop and Metal. If you're ever looking for some guitar or anyting that you would like on one of your recordings, let me know. I would enjoy working with you.

Thanks again for the review and advice.

on As The World Turns by Rumor
Since you want honestly man here's some....

The beat is better than the vocal, but the vocal is good tho. But the beat is very good. i wouldn't change anything about the beat, infact I'd do a verse on it in a second. Just keep working on the vocals. Some very good flows, and some good lyrics. But you need to work on your delivery.

Good stuff tho fam, looking forward to more.

EDIT: One more thing, good hook.

You got a good sense of flow and some big lyrics man. Good to see someone aware of these clandestine operations happening. Check out Allan Watt if you haven't yet, not to be confused with Allan Watts, who's also cool but very different.

Looking forward to hearing some more, get that mic fam. Lyrics are worth more than the quality of your mic. Keep it up man.
