chesterfester, I’m really digging the creativity you used here mixing the different flavors and the result is chill and interesting. Excellent use of the double bass. Nice!
Cam honestly for me this has a river dance vibe. I’m loving the movement and the heart of the matter is the percussion interwoven with the melody. You provided a solid listen and a big thanks for sharing your talent.
Thanks so much Mark. The samples are Japanese Taiko drums, so the riverdance connection is not one I would've ever thought of. Now that you've said, I can't unhear it lol.
Micky/Jynxz! This is swinging and so smooth. @1:44 and 3:20 changes are epic. Guitar, acoustic bass, drums, and synth work is simply amazing. Awesome listen throughout. Faved beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Hi Mark, it's great to hear you enjoyed it. Believe me, if my mother tongue were English, I could certainly express my joy in a much more vivid way. For me (and I'm pretty sure for Robbie too) you are a musical capacity, if I may use this antiquated term, and in this respect it is always particularly exciting to hear your judgment. I don't know about Robbie, but personally I'm always so unsure if a track we make can be enjoyed by other people or if it's totally for the bin. That's why it's a blessing that you can try it out at Looperman. So again, thank you
Micky (on behalf of Robbie)
Micky/Jynxz. Greetings. Right off you’ve coined this track with a aptly expressed title. It’s full of undercurrents. An awesome composition that I throughly enjoyed.
BaoBou, so I’m echoing sentiments here! Superb job capturing the sheer essence of a live performance. And very lively one at that. I was in a phone conversation with Jynxz this afternoon talking about tracks that are more than just sound. We both agree you must have life in the sound or it’s just noise. When you put life in the sound it’s called “Your Sound” like here. Wonderful listen that’s a fave for me.
That's great to hear Mark, and even more when it comes from you (or Jynxz). And awesome to hear you guys are in contact! Any collab you guys did that I missed or forgot about?
Rob! Mannn…….. Grandma is plugged in locked and loaded. You even captured that corner of Madison and Pulaski ambiance with those effects. Drums on point. I’m good for the day with this one! Thanks for sharing. Faved!
Hey Mark I thought you were going to say you went and got a
Maxwell street polish. I can smell them onions just thinking about them.
Thanks for giving this track a listen, encouraging comments
and the Fave fo sho.
Cam! Yep definitely loving that cinematic entrance. So now the synth’s chord progressions with the string arrangement lift’s this to the stratosphere. It’s excellent how you put that production spotlight on the vocal. Impressive throughout, very impressive!
Thanks so much Mark, glad you enjoyed. I wasn't sure how the LM group was going to feel about this one so I'm relieved that it seems to be landing alright so far lol.
Micky/Jynxz, this one is full on unadulterated free flowing funk. I remember Jynxz working on the synth’s and even in the middle of production It was killer. A Great listen from the team. P.S. I had to replace the drive belt on the cassette recorder. As soon as I’m back up and running I’ll get those hot mix files over. Be safe
Hola Mark,
thanks for listening and for the nice comment. Yes, the funk comes unadulterated...otherwise we'd grow long noses, right?
Listen, dear Mark, I don't want you to go to such an effort to transfer old tapes to digital for my sake. It would be very kind of you, but really not necessary. I guess I won't be able to stop you though... :o)
See you soon,
Micky (of course also on behalf of Rob)
Oh YEAH Rob! Some serious bass business going on. I’m totally loving the break’s. But that section at 2:05 is the chill zone and WOW. Synths are taking my language definitely. You have upped your dynamics game with the overall mix. Another fine composition in the JYNXZ tradition. Faved of course.
What's up Mark,
You know I learned that
Bass pattern from our boy
Big Ant back in the 80's I
bet he would be surprised to
hear that I still remember it.
BTW. I "stacked" the Kick and HH
on this one. I'm starting to get the
hang and ear for knowing the different
instruments on the Drums. I really appreciate
the tips you've given me with the Drums.
Thanks for stopping by and giving the track a listen
