this track and continuing

my thoughts into sound/music.
I miss being on the LM grid.
I hope to be back soon.
Alright fellas! Here we go with another heavy hitter. The creativity is off the charts good. Loving the weightless section @2:05. Then the comeback at 2:52 ! Nice one that sticks to the ribs.
Hello Mark, nice to hear from you. I've been really turned off by the vibe on LM lately... I don't deal well with Dimestop's overbearing personality... it just ruins my mood. Especially when I see him getting approval from people who I actually thought would be more peaceful. I'm just an old hippie, somehow, that's how it is and that's how it will stay.
But I'm very happy that you like Robbie and I's old track. I don't know how close you are to him or whether you know about his current situation. In any case, we can't continue to work together musically at the moment, which really bothers me. I'm working on my personal tracks, but I've become so particular about them that it takes me months before I'm satisfied... LOL
I hope you're doing well and I'll hear from you again soon.
Love AND Peace
Micky
Mark, thanks for the listen. I'm glad you enjoyed this one. It seemed to come together nicely. I am working on my mixes, trying to get some front to back imaging. Thanks again my friend. I hope all is well. UE
Micky this is top notch. A way back Time Machine. Solid 4 in the floor that’s serious business. The 0:52 break is too cool. Great listen for me. Thanks again for sharing your talent.
Hello Mark,
I didn't realize that you had already listened to this thing some time ago. So thank you for listening and the encouraging comment. It's always a great pleasure for me!
Cheers,
Micky
What's good T? This is a mighty fine production. The total mix is full on squeaky clean. You know that EP is present & pertinent. The bass has just the right bottom and the drum track is sitting well. But those strings are Philharmonic, on your chamber orchestra swag! Now T I'm gonna have to OUT YOU! I know you didn't think that I could possibly miss those crispy treats snapping, crackling and popping with the kick oh so subtly, did you? Fire creative touch all the way. Lastly, I'm feeling some sweet female vocals will def crown this one. Nothing too domineering but just right in there. I enjoyed what you've done here. Also take this fave and hang it on the wall. Peace.
Mark first let me say thanks for the HOLLA today, that made my day player. Now for those ears of yours, by you picking out my snap crackle and pop it just confirms my comment on your last track I listen too. Your hearing is surgical. I have to admit only because you OUTED ME, that vinyl was mint to be as close to subliminal as possible, but since you got to tell on somebody, I'm good with-it LOL. I gave it the female vocal listen and I agree with you on that idea. That would take this track to another dimension of SMOOTH. Now in reference to what we disgust today, that comment about the female vocal in a split second caused my ears to consider what I would say is your creative contribution to this track, instead of subtracting some element from the track, and it makes since. A pleasure always MT. PEACE T576 OUT.
BaoBou. So my current situation……. I’m listening as I’m on my way to kick it with my mom who is 91 and lives 2 hours away and she’s sharp as a tack. Something about your track and driving through the countryside is making my day! I’m really digging this because it’s uniquely you. Plus at the risk of sounding redundant, I still cannot unhear Donald Fagan! Nothing technical is interfering with what you have shared musically. Great job Buddy:). Also I’ve got the .als project files and will be jumping on them soon. Peace.
Thank you so much!!
Great to hear your mom is ok, especially at that age. My mom is 81, so I feel you (brain is still fast, her legs not so much anymore ;)
Donald Fagen is a great name to be compared to. I'm happy :)
Rob! Pertinent application of S.D. ALL DAY LONG'S fire talent. The parts of your track that jumped at me was, 1.The Tension throughout the track which never seemed to be resolved. Which is definately a great thing and perfect set up for a sequel (hint hint). 2. That outstanding drum track which stands on its own, then 3.THOSE OUTRAGIOUS SYNTHS!!!!!! Hands down, unequivocally you be that SYNTH HERO! OK, MIKE DROPPED LOL! Peace.
I would love to take the credit
for writing the Drums on this track
but, I just arranged and modified some
samples off Loopcloud. Thanks for the mention tho:-)
You've given me a lot to think about in respect to resolution on a track. I generally put a track together in 1 min sections and I hear each section on its own, not thinking about someone listening, and hearing it all at once. Thank you for that insight. That's a game changer.
On the Synths I'm experimenting on high and low voices playing at the same time so they don't get in each others way while saying something completely different. If that makes sense:-)
Thank you for your listen, encouragement and for your insight on this track.
Yahwelle. Excellent travail.
Oh, yeah. The entrance sets the pace nicely. Synth strings sit perfectly. The change at about 2:10 with those chord progressions are sweet. This is smooth. Great job.
Bringer! Ah yeah you hit me with that tuba ish bass line. Absolutely amazing melody. Kick/ride cymbal………. economic and killing in the cut! Those exit key riffs tho. Another BOD masterpiece. Faved. Peace.
Thanks, My drums were definitely simple on this one. I've been working on economics in my music. Just cause I can play a million notes doesn't mean I should.
BaoBou. The opening hit me with solemn and reflective contemplation. The piano chords and phrasing told as much of the story as you did with the vocals. Really a nice arrangement. Heartfelt and honest. A respectful work my friend. I will definitely check you out on ITunes. Peace.
That's awesome Mark! Here's a page with some links to streaming platforms (it's actually available on 25 but these are some of the more common): https://baobousmusic.hearnow.com/step-by-step
Thanks a lot for the listen and the gentle feedback. The next one will be more funky again ;)
Micky! This is very impressive. This composition is constructed on a solid foundation with a notable airiness on account of those exceptional synths. An outstanding balance! Your vocals and guitar prowess is par excellence, perfectly blended in the mix. Great job Micky.
Always happy when you listen to my tracks. Your musical expertise is always a good motivation to keep going! Let's never lose sight of hope. Peace, Micky
This is a nice listen here. This is excellent work! The mix is full of goodness. A definite Fave. At 2:33…… no you didn’t do what I thought you did! That samba tho. Thank for sharing. Top quality throughout.
