Great track the two of you really created something great with this one. The first thing that really struck me about this track is that it really showed off your ability to move from genre to genre which is awesome, always nice to hear versatility. Thanks for sharing this, well worth the listen.
I really like the tone you used on the intro, its a nice riff and real nice idea you have here. Where do you get your drum loops, are they from here. Love it when the distortion kicks in as well keep it up, good stuff again.
Good track, I like tones of the guitar and the intro pretty cool. The drums are really awesome and compliment the track really well. Keep it up, good stuff.
Top notch as usual man, what do you use to produce your music? This is really good and I swear you get better and better with every track. Keep it man, I really hope someday the right person finds your tracks and can reward your talent.
Man I am always amazed at the quality of your tracks, great vocals as usual man, love the effect on your voice. Good creative vocals and a quality track all around, I am going to download this as soon as I get on my other computer. Keep up man, this is great stuff.
Great tune man, loving the guitar, you really nailed this. I think Allen was spot on with his review, really great track, and really great sound. Always a pleasure to listen to your tracks Randy.
Again...thanks for your review of this rock song here. I am glad you enjoyed it. It is a good feeling to know that others enjoy your work, and maybe your an inspiration to them as others have been to me in the past.
Thank you thank you...^_^ It's great to hear from others that I have my "own" sound...so hard to find nowadays so that's a relief:) thx for the review:)
Randy you never cease to amaze me, great production and playing as usual. As I mentioned to you before I have always wanted to write a country song, I just never seem to be able to get the sound I want, maybe someday. I always love listening to your music, its very motivating. Keep up the good work, any country ballads in the future? Thanks for sharing.
Thanks a lot for your listening and reviewing my latest country song. Getting the sound you want is a matter of listening to good CD's, and trying to guess what instruments are being used. Try to copy the tone and style the best you can.
Go to YouTube and check into some of the music there as far as technics. Most everyone knows the sound of a Fender Telecaster, so that is a good guitar to start with with. Then practicing with the guitar and using the back pickup is usually what I use the most.
Then use equipment to process the sound such as compressor/limitors will help shape the sound. That's about all they do in the studio and I do at home via software. I used to have a lot of outboard gear, but now mostly use software to help shape my sound. At least that's a start for you.
I did do a 2 part country song back in the summer with a local lady here near me. On here as, 'Musicizismee' wrote lyrics and did the vocals and her own harmonizing on a short song on here in my list called 'Walkin Shoes'. Give that a listen if haven't already.
This is why I like to upload loops like this, what I pictured it being used for is the exact opposite of what you did with it. I love this and its very original, love the drums you used and the guitar really fused everything together, great job on this. Great originality, keep it up, this is good stuff.
Chris, I have been waiting for something new from you and I am not disappointed, another great track, a definite fav. I have said it before but I still can't believe you are an unsigned artist, every time I listen to your tracks I am in awe. Your style is my favorite music style, and I really hope one day I turn on the radio or tv and hear one of your songs, you really are an amazing songwriter and artist and I definitely put you in my list of favorites. Great job man, I really hope you have some more tracks to share soon!! Keep it up man, great stuff!!
I have zero tips so I'm not much help here, but I like your track, I agree with AnomalyJ regarding the intro. I think its a good start, keep going and you will find what you are looking for.
Great tune man, I have a track called the so it was a no brainer to hear what yours sounded like. I really enjoyed this, its kind of funny how person can have a song title and it be so different. Nice job and thanks for sharing.
thank you very much for listening and for your comments, Kyle. please note i did not write this song (see copyright). it's the only song on my page i didn't write. the words and music seem to strike a chord with me in a special way. i will visit your page later this week and drop you a line. jb
I'm using a loop as well. or rather 50 loops. I think, maybe more. I just have a great ear for piano. ^^ Its okay if you don't like it because of that.
Good tune, first thing that came to mind when you started singing was Pink Floyd. As a side not nothing wrong with country music if you know what you are doing, never hurts to branch out. Keep it up man, good stuff.
What a change from your country songs, this is simply awesome, love the guitar work. You always seem to know how to out do yourself and this is no exception. Great as always and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for listening and reviewing my latest rock song.
I will give you a review back today on one of your songs in return, as I always do with everyone...if they have a song posted...some don't.
I am glad you like the the country and rock songs I put out. This is what I used to play back in the late 60's and up until about 1981. Then I went to work in a power plant, and shift work started = no more band playing!
So to counter act...I had to become a 1-man-band. My drums are all loops..unless it is a simple part, then I create it on my Korg M3. That machine has hundreds of drum samples you can input with the keys.
I should use the Korg in more of my songs as well.
Basically I start out with a single track like probably everyone else does, and then add in all the other parts one at a time. Then I spend about a month or more tweaking it all to perfection as best I can.
I make sure when I do the parts separately, in the software, I 'zoom in' to make sure that part is lined up with the last part to sound as tho 'seemless'. I suppose others also do this.
It isn't possible for me to always make a solo part without mistakes. Sometimes I'll play half a dozen notes at a time, and then do some more until that part is done.
Anyways, more than you wanted to know. lol
Thanks again,
Randy
Great track especially considering how it was made, any plans for lyrics? I think it would if you added some good it really make your track over the top. Keep it up man good stuff here.
Wow this is outstanding, what a voice girl, this is an amazing track by shortbus and then your vocals take it over the top and turn it into a hit. Faved this as soon as you opened your mouth, love the background vocals. I will be checking out some more of your work, very talented, thanks for sharing.
