I'm usually not a big fan of cinematic tracks, but this one is right up my alley! I love the tribal and ritualistic vibe to it! Awesome percussion with a perfect mix! I like the ambient ending too, it surprised me! Great stuff!

Never heard the original, but I'm lovin this cover! I agree with PJB that it is reminiscent of Big Brother and the Holding Company! Great guitar work! You can hear Wayne's(The Humps) influence on this one. Smooth vocals! This is some sweet blues I must say!

I really like the ideas behind this track! Unfortunately it has some issues with the mix, like some severe distortion in the beats. Luckily the distortion doesn't interfere with the vocals, because they really are stand out! The scratch loops are used really well! Good song, it could just use some adjustments!

I really like this song despite the problems with the mp3. The bass is killer, and the progression is awesome! Nice ending too!

As far as the mp3 goes, it sounds like something may be clipping when you compress it. I would try using a mastering limiter on the main channel set to maximize to -.5 db or something. Then you know it won't clip when turned into an mp3. worth a try anyway.

Great song though, with much potential!

Yeah, it was odd how that 'pella worked out. Fluke luck I suppose, because when I imported it into the project it just seemed to fit almost perfectly in raw form. Didn't need to do much to it beyond a slight re-sample of the tempo and slicing it up to fit the loop spacing. The bass was another oddity, in that I had originally figured that they'd be better suited for another genre/style (why I put 'em in the R&B section). Anywho, I'm glad ya dug this mate. Later on!

Yeah, FL, I realize there are some good tutorials on YouTube, but there are so many, and it's a bit painstaking when I have to keep pausing and clicking between FL and the video.
