Hey Citizen, Im loving this track, simple and effective and quality, yes oozes quality. The piano and the vocal dominate the track to perfection. You have created a little masterpiece here, its an instant classic. Did you make the video? I loved that too, PEOPLE watch the video!! Excellent work here my friend I am so glad I came across this and look forward to hearing more from you. Regards Paul.

Thank you, Paul. I really appreciate your comments on the song and the video! The piano is a loop, so all hail looperman. Yes I made the video, using free public commons footage (a lot of amazing stuff available) and Windows Movie Maker, very simple to use and a free video is the result. So happy you like it!

Some echo ey pikes, a bit of techno, drop, then pikes and a lovely voice. Then right back into it. Its got chilled summer days written all over it! Roll on summer! Well done anyway!

Jazzy chill!! Love a bit of laid back chillness, and this hits the mark!! Almost an R&B swing type beat? Anyways great sound and a lovely sax, just oozes summer with a cold beer! Well done sir! Thanks for sharing!

In the first half I used a typical hip hop/RnB beat. In the second half it changes a little to give it a little more spice. Nice that you noticed it!

Hi mate, nice cover here, had to go to you tube because I wasnt familiar with the track. This cover sounds fine and I am sure you will do the track justice. I would love to help out If I was a better player and had more time to devote to music. Good luck in your quest, looking forward to hearing the finished project.

on Fist Bumps Of Fury by StaticNomad
Heavy indeed sir! Every time I listen to one of your tracks I instantly want to buy EZ drummer! (if thats the right one!?) It always sounds amazing! Some excellent guitar work here, I think it covers most styles! And engineered and produced to perfection! Very well done!
StaticNomad
StaticNomad replied 20th Nov 2016 - 8 years ago
Sorry for the slow reply.

Yes, we've talked about EZ Drummer before. I actually have Toontrack's Superior Drummer but it also plays all the EZ stuff. Only about 3 drumkits used here and two are EZ ones.

Does the guitar here cover "most styles"? I thought it was mostly on the heavy side though I guess there is some funkier and bluesier stuff plus some a bit psychedelic and Eastern so I suppose that is a few.

Heavy indeed.

Thanks again, see you around.

It sucks, I'll be picking up some KRK's in the near future.. As for the scratches I couldn't say, I have a huge library (A whole HDD dedicated to them) with tonnes of scratches.. Thank you, I do feel this track is missing something though.. I can't put my finger on it :/

Thanks for listening :)

What a beautiful chilled out track you have here. Laid back and really easy on the ear! How did you put it together was it a vocal sample worked round a tune or someone singing over the track? Excellent work here anyway. Very well done!

7venth12 replied 8th Jun 2016 - 9 years ago
A lot of my vocals, such as this one come from here http://freevocals.com/ and this singer's vocals just seemed to fit the early construction of the track so I decided to fit it in. Thanks for the listen, glad you enjoyed it!

on Where the tracks have no name 3 by MaxBonsi
Hi mate, I love a bit of trip hop, this is a nice piece, I think you should find the kick drum in the mix and emphasise it a little more, and possibly use a little less of that static sound? The keys are just lovely though really spacey and relaxing. The bass seems to wake up at around 3.00 and really take effect! On the whole a really nice track! Well done sir!

on the maze by stella1357
Hi Stella, nice sound here, the mix sounds ok considering you are quite new to the game. I also use Ableton live and it seems that they have really upped their game in the live 9 compared to the 7 that i was previously using. Any music lessons you can get especially keyboard would be a great advantage, and there are also thousands of free lessons on You tube on everything from mastering to EQ ing. Have fun and keep at it!

Psychedelic chillout stoner/doom - can i suggest a new genre please? Why dont we have more psychedelic chillout stoner/doom ? I need rappers for my psychedelic chillout stoner/doom! and so on etc etc! ha ha epic work here my friend and quality production as ever! I would definitely invest in EZ drummer if i had the the cash! Always sounds amazing!
StaticNomad

Yo, TinyP.

How do things be?

"I need rappers for my psychedelic chillout stoner/doom!"

You should totally start a forum thread requesting rappers for that exact genre. I believe I could make it work really well, even though I've never heard all those genres combined.

"Why dont we have more psychedelic chillout stoner/doom?"

There tends not to be that much chilling going on in the world of stoner and doom. If so, it's more on the dark, malevolent side of things. But my chill here is more like beautiful ambient music. No darkness at all.

"epic work here my friend"

That is generally what I go for. The difference this time is that it's a real short epic.

"I would definitely invest in EZ drummer if i had the the cash! Always sounds amazing!"

I love it and could not make the music I make without either it or similar drum software. I actually have Superior Drummer but mostly load EZ kits into it. You can hear that they have some excellent metal ones. Only two used here but I have more.

I've even got a really cool hip hop EZ kit, which I've used in loads of tracks. I don't mean hip hop drum loops - I mean a proper kit, with loads of classic hip hop drums kind of spanning the history of hip hop.

Thanks again.

on An Old School Project by nepaul
Hi mate, I dont really listen to much rap and hip hop these days, however this track reminds me why i liked it in the first place, 'old school' and this takes me right back. You have a good sound and you use it well, I get slight Beasties overtones in places, and the orchestra hit is the icing on the cake! Well done mr Nepaul.

on Mykael Covers Adeles When We Were Young by Mykael
Hi mate, Iam not a big fan of Adele, probably because she's been played to death, especially here in the UK. Anyway you've really done the song justice here. I am glad to see you're still singing, just heard the backing vocals @ around 3:10 very nice!! Well done sir!

Hiya Paul...

Long time! I think Adele is an amazingly prolific lyricist. I love the sentiment of the words, so I thought I'd give it a go. I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Your track still sounds excellent and the EQ is fine, the vocal could do with a little more volume though! unless that is you are listening on some really cheap in ear genuine samsung phones! ha ha Regards smallpaul.

Hi mate great track, it definitely has 'The Cure' overtones, for me anyway. I would agree with the other comments as to the vocal, and also up a notch on the bass and possibly down on the treble? If I had to find a constructive criticism. Very well done anyway!
