a little fast no? great sounds BTW the saw fills out nice. also i think the big bass drum is a little long winded. im listening with my AKG Dj headphones on though, and they have a mighty low frequency response, and i have the bass boost on. oh well cool track keep it up. also, wheres the breakdown?

on Make It Right by GOLDMARCH
cool! good arrangment and mix, vocals were off though as you mentioned, sounds like a mic problem though, like clipping into the computer not out of, so either watch you mic moniter to make sure she doesnt clip, or find a new mic if it keeps getting angry :) cool track though almost there.

LOL.. Maybe too many effects or at least not the right effects on the voice... But You get used to hear the song like that, when You have heard it many times.. And then it in fact sounds better/okay like that..ss But thanks for Your comment..ss

on (all I hear is this...)Beeping Beeping by RevK
Reminds me of Mr Bungle, Awesome! The wide is well done, the mastering good, the mix is good, meters stuffed sometimes. but still really cool.

on Abril (Rocko Quintero) by Rocko625
Very prog nice! Cool and chill, intro is killer, not the easiest to dj into im sure but cool. I would add a sub bass, something that rings around and thumps underneath all of this topping off the tribal. Crazy cool though i dig it.

on When love is found by SLAPJOHNSON
really dig the rythym line, very haunting yet unthreatning, maybe less distortion on one of those guitars or bass or something back there otherwise really well done, respect.

on SUGAR GIRL by brandonjames
A little fast i think, is that like 140? take it to house tempo at like 128 or 133, that should let everyone hear the rhythm work a little better, otherwise great sounds, maybe look for a more distinguished hook, something to get your head stuck in.

I feal ya, yes this track is lacking a bit. Needs more breaks, more everything, I just got sick of hearing it and starting playing it live, so i said F it and cleaned it up and slapped it out.
Thanks for your review please come listen again.

on Love Song Dedication Revised by BadKonexion
not bad at all actually, i think the trill on the piano is a bit much, maybe just that backing chords and nothing else. Sounds great though, reminds me of a more hip hop bonobo (a compliment.) or moby. Cool.
BadKonexion
BadKonexion replied Unknown
That's the second time i've been told it sounds like moby

on Blaming Us by Albert rd Recordings by billydubs
Hey, me again, This one os better than the other one i listened to. I think my criticism on this track would be compression, remember to put all the drums in the same compressor and push the beat flat. Also i think the vocals you used/recorded are in a diferrent tempo than you put them. All the best, potential once again.
billydubs
billydubs replied Unknown
hey thanx for your reviews i know you know your stuff, going on about compression ect, but i havnt got a clue i picked up fruity looops bout 3days ago so compression dosent mean anything to me i have no experience in producing just a bit of trial and error lol as u can tell thanx again man hopefully i will improve a bit

on Diggy Diggy Doo By Albert rd Recordings&billydubs by billydubs
Hey! I think this has potential, but there are some essentials missing. A Punchier kick maybe, some hats in between, and some sidechaining on the bass to start otherwise the layout was cool and ideas Flowed well. Check out Vengeance for some good Electro Sounds. I know the right kick can be hard to find.

on I am for ever by Mandii
sounds tribal, if you want me to get thecnical, i can critisize the mix a little. its a little muddled. maybe use more Eqing on separate tracks to cut frequencies that are clashing. Its that little step between this and the polish you hear in professional recordings, Keep it up though the groove works and pumps.

Cheers

on When Hippos sing with Frogs by n0mad23
Woah, noise. Thats gotta be a frequency wall. This is some trippy stuff man. sounds like what i think maximalism would be.
n0mad23
n0mad23 replied Unknown
"a cross section of some hot springs in action" - planetjazzbass' description below is the best I've read yet, but I know what you mean. Wall0soundD. I like that "maximalism" a lot; occupying the opposite spectrum to Philip Glass probably needs to be done. Any volunteers? Cheers.

"Cool Track"

Nah just kidding, good groove, i just wanna hear a little more evolution in it, it gets a little monotonous near the end. Still a cool groove, keep it up.

This Reminds me of the old school Disco Vibe, My only real critisim is to add some rev crashes and othe filler sfx, like some sweeps and smick. Athough great work groovy!

on Ioka - Sun Thunder (Full Version) by Ioka
OH JESUS THATS THICK! You have some Serious Compression going on there, make this 25% faster and 50% more Bass Drum hits and youll have shmick as nasty as the pro hard jungle and breakcore artists. I think this has excellent potential, you just have to make it that 25% more manic. GO FOR GOLD -> Acrylic

on Menelik Depatment by jahknow
Groovy, that bass moves in who knows what direction. Cool play all around i still am unsure of what makes a Dub song though. Oh well. Good work.
jahknow
jahknow replied Unknown
A dub track , originally, meant a B side take of a reggae single that has been stripped of vocals and remastered by the studio engineer using copious amounts of effects. These takes are often over dubbed sessions where the producer 'tweaks' the effects knobs for each individual track to make a much more spacious and often ethereal mix.

bless! :D

on Japanese Love Story by DJ_JEZZA
Nice use of triplets in the melody. Very odd and different i like it. A little creepy. Coolio. My only critisism is the synth needs to morph or something at the end of the phrase to shed off that weird something, oh i cant explain it. oh well maybe you understand me through some unknown means. Keep up the good work! Cheers,

I really like the chords, I just think you need a huge thumping low conga hit, like a water drum or a deep china to compliment those congas in the foreground. Other than that great work.

on Helix - Formally Installed V.2 (Kazm Remix) by Kazm
Hah! i know that loop! Great work! you ever listen to breakcore or Hard jungle? they use that dark amen like no other. Anyhow the rest of the track is excellent, although id love to hear more organic synths, but thats really a personal taste. Great work with the drums, They are truly squarepusher quality.
Kazm
Kazm replied Unknown
Wow man... a comparison to squarepusher is one hell of a compliment. Cheers dude! I got this massive grin from ear to ear now =D.
And yeah man, I've listened to a little bit of breakcore. I like a couple of Venetian Snares stuff, but I'm not really a fan of the wierd time signatures. I shall check out some hard jungle, sounds like it could be good!
Thanks for the review dude, means a lot! Serious.
Peace, man.

Im liking the chords you pulled out here, Very cool, Very ambient. I have to say it is very original in an odd way. Im a HUGE liquid funk fan and there are touches of it in your music, along with lots of trance. Keep up the good work I hope to hear more from you in the future.
Flexstyle
Flexstyle replied Unknown
I'm a huge fan of almost anything DnB, and the liquid funk genre may have very well played a subconscious role in this song. Glad you liked it!

This is great, morphing is cool. the dynzmic range seems crunched on my end, it might just be the compression or w/e, still, great track.
