I really like your synths.. they are giving me chills..
really off the beaten path..
I was reading your description and I love how you put that "you are writing the music you want to hear" I really agree with that, and I respect that.
This is really up my alley... I am loving this.
(I always try and add some constructive criticism, and I did feel the synth got a little repetitive... but you still mixed it really well...)
You are really talented... I will look forward to hearing more of your tracks! Thanks for reviewing me, as I might have never got to hear this.

(omg, i was soo thinking of covering NOFX's- I gottta pee... I think i might!)
(dude also.. this song is cooler than a lot of the punk bands that i see at the local bar...)
Levels sound great.
It gives me the feeling you are just taunting me which is cool...
UPPERCUT.
this track
Big up on the D/L...
I love it!
honestly.. if no one is gonna rap on this, you obviously need to rap, or just get creative in post production.
hah... I love it man.
faved and downloaded. and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED...
Well, levels bass wise are great! I love the progression!
That is a tight sound there!
But you are missing something! I just feel like.. you are missing vocals... which is always like a duh... but it Has a strong unique groove, that I really appreciate.
Awesome outro.
Love the swelling synth.. love the building...
You need something tho! something to really catch my attention. Some phased movies samples. Some vocoder, more robot voice...
It's just a bit bare, but albeit, BADASS. I really love the arrangement, it's almost perfect, but, you need something that is not in the groove to really make this shine.
Even like... ok... something from my crazy brain... letsay a GPS satellite robot voice taking me into the deep innercity... i mean.. you know? something.
I hear ya (and agree). And I was lucky enough to be able to score this before the site added the 'enable download' choice ages ago. Can't recall when I started mixing this, but I remember that once the vox were laid I wanted others to rap on it too. As for Screw, I wasn't trying to directly immitate him, but was just thinkin of his style and tried to take it in a similar Funky direction. As for rap, it's like music production and just takes practice (and pointers). It's kinda hard, but given enough time you'd be surprized at what you can do. As for the comparison, I'd have to agree in the remix's unfinished state. Though all I ever try to do with my basic remixes is to make it just as cool as the original (however modified and stretched out). Glad ya dug it. L&R!
Wow.. In one way.. I am like hell yah! LOVING THIS.
And then in the other... I am like... I have this guy's E-mail address!!!?!?!? WOW I kinda know you!! lol...
The first part... Like... Don't be upset with me, this is FANTASTIC, but to me, just my opinion, I did want the changes to be smoother.. It felt a little jigsawed, and the edges got frayed... But The fact you did this all yerself... Randy... You rule.... This hobby of yours is really bigger than you, because you really make me think about music and how to turn peoples heads.
(for example... I wanted the harmonica to breath more... Like I could hear him getting ready and finishing....)
lol... Wow, Loving the banjos. That legato guitar stuff and the phrasing.. wow (that acoustic lick is definitely the standout) followed by the really fantastic pedal steel, that was awesome, but I love that Whoooooooooooooooooooooo sound... It sounded like a party.. I am really awed. My mouth is open lol...
I really like the cajun part. I guess I do think of fairs and county music, but I think about my first love.... She loved this kind of music.
Hi Abe,
Nice to have you back. I appreciate you giving me a review back on this country/cajun mix. This is the real deal! Doesn't get much better as far as original sounds, but I can agree with you on the minor stuff.
Smoother changes from one part to another, harmonica breathing. (Totally all loops for this part) That whooooo type sound is a guy yelling something like Aaaaahhhhhiiiieeee. Typical cajun yell. :-)
Thanks for the review and again nice to hear from you.
It you wanna a rock tune to play along with, check out 'Rock my World' when you get a chance.
I left the lead guitar volume lower in the first part for that purpose.
Randy
Very much so! And in your crazy experiment, you created something that is a deep and strange emotional odyssey.
I was going to say, like if you did something that was just noise, or just crazy crazy crazy, like mixing ninths and minor 3rds and then going Major but then diminished... lol ... Jazz Trance.!
THIS IS LIKE LISTENABLE JAZZ TRANCE! lol!!!
Kinda.
heh.
The delay really sealed this one up, and the excellent panning.
You know... Perhaps you should start integrating some of the stuff you have done here and move that into more of your future songs. Which I trust you will..
I sooooo cannot get over abletons ability to record effects over and over with each take being singular but, together they can create masterpieces.
It's like an effect studio if you look at like that, and that is what is sooo cool about this track!
You managed to take the idea of 6 or 7 loops, and make a spider web! love it!
Favorited fer sure! and try some crazy stuff with the mastering plugs!! I would love to hear the drums go wacky!
Dude, I don't know you very well, but you have a fantastic ear for arrangement, and secondly, you have cajonas and stick your neck out, and don't give a damn. I really really really respect that.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and over expecting a different result.
So you aren't insane, but you are crazy.
Hi Abe
We are the crazies!!! I like getting called crazy its a nice way to be it keeps me on the ball.
Now I will need to try and remember everything I done in the track.
On tracks I used ping pong, dynamic tube, saturator, auto pan and compressor 1 on the master.
Thanks for the great review its means a lot coming from you :)
Regards
Krook
I loooove how this continually changed.. Over each period of sound... And when the DEEP Drums kicked in. VERY NICE.
Can you make the drums seperated a bit? just stereo imagery?
I could just send you some clean and on time mp3s???
I usually never use a metronome. And just go with feeling.
I do think you did a great job, but if you want some even timed loops just email me!
I love how it feels like a dream. It is flowing in and out.
I am super impressed that someone sampled my track, and made something like this!
I could work with you, just let me know what you need. Just Contact me!
I think in places it really really really works.. IN others it doesn't.
But I would work with you. (I am busy, but I can record simple stuff like this and we could collab?)
im down for that, i really wanted to use like a country tone that time and the loop i cut out from that track you had fit perfect, i had to manipulate it a little ti get the timing but i did my best.
if you could send me some samples i would be more than happy to do work on them : )
Great layout....
I don't want you to get mad at me, but in my head, I heard something on the top, lmao, going eEEEEEeeeeaaaaaaaoooooooooohhhhh. and then changing accordingly to the progression.
Like a fake vocalist but synth... Like.. If a synth and a chick had sex, a baby shymanthesizerman screaming sorta.... that would sound awesome.
NO room for improvement. This has flaws that make it incredible.
Sounds that accent and compliment each other.
It's emphatic and aggressive.
It's a jungles graveyard.
It is deep.
Yet just skin deep.
Like a snowflake.
You are unique.
JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.
LOVE IT.
FANTASTIC.

I love that, I am soo not a mimalist... I think I envy people who can mix like this.. lol...
Great levels, Great track!
WAYY TO SHORT! right when you ended it you should go minor, and then go back up to major, introduce a triplet hi-hat beat, something very rolling and aggressive, but turned down, so it's just here in the left speaker.
That's my constructive criticism.
EXCELLENT.

I would also defrag, and delete your temp files, and use ccleaner. get it from google. recommended...
I hope you get that worked out!
It's smoothed out a bit near the end..
Ummm I also thought the drums could be a bit more focal in the mix.. but that's just me...
Love it!
