i'll toy around with a bridge or a chorus type piece for the open part. i would suggest you do the same and we'll see what sticks. it should turn out to be a monster track.
i hope you enjoy it. this is a rough mix for you to vibe off of. i'll take it down after you hear it and if you like it we can move forward. i personally think its a great match up. either way, thanks for creating this and giving me endless inspiration.
Fucking yesss, liked it alot man. Now I actually have pressure to make this sound good haha. I'm going to have to re record some if not all of it as it peaks out sometimes and parts were recorded on different days and don't sound as good as they could. Will have to figure out what to do with that empty space inbetween as well, but I like where it's heading man, really liked your verse, really wasn't expecting anyone to get on this at all, let alone with that kind of quality writing. Im gonna go get to work !
the vocals aren't mixed yet. i wanted you to hear it before its done in case you wanted to request a change or something. i hope you enjoy it as much as i enjoyed recording it.
i'm really digging your style, brother. why arent you posting more music on this site? you're a gem. i want to hear more of your work. let me know where i can find some more work.
I'm really glad that you like the song as much as you did your speech on it...sadly, I don't really understand the whole lyrics, just snippets but you really made a heartfelt 'work'...you had lots of things in deep and you had to 'scream' out these, I think...
Thanx for usin that number for your basic monument...:-)
i hope you like it. a rough draft for some insight and feedback - i totally dug rhyming over this one. there's still room for one more verse if anyone else wants to get on it. https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/166483
Very nice work. there's a story to be told on this track. i'm totally digging it's flow and vibe. The bass line is great, the Stabs are on point and overall it makes me want to rhyme.
Thanks man,if you want the track in wav.send me your email and I'll post a download link (90bpm)..glad you liked it man, more to come that's for sure...cheers Dave
this track is awesome. it's so out of the ordinary, catchy & very well produced. great job. i'm definitely a fan of your work, i'll be skimming through your tracks over the next few days.
I don't do a lot of hip hop but I'd like to do more.
You can probably guess from all the other genres I merge into here that I'm better at those than hip hop. Rock, funk, blues and deep groove stuff is more my natural home. But I've always loved hip hop for its mid-tempo beats as that's the kind of tempo I work best with. Once I've got that cool sort of groove down, I find I can happily switch to double tempo, as in this track, and I'm not lost.
Dobule speed something that has a good groove seems to work well for me whereas if you start me off with something fast, I can be a bit overwhelmed.
This track definitely is out of the ordinary. Let's just say that the banj-metal-hiphop-jazz genre is not likely to catch on anytime soon.
My favourite section here probably is the final return to the hip hop at the end. Feels like the track's coming home and it's quite sparse, which seems to work well in contrast to the much busier sections.
Thanks for your thoughts.
More hip hop related tracks coming in the next few months.
Until then, you might get on with one I made called The Shit. That's got some hip hop in it, especially in the second half.
very dope track. this is why music is the greatest thing on earth. the unhreard get heard, the unknown get a small moment of fame within their tribe of fellow musicians, you can move without physically touching anything.
i love this track so much. i've found myself listening to it and writing vocal rhythms over it more than a couple of times. if i could change one thing about it, i think it would be the EQ on the kick. I feel like it should be a bit warmer. please dont take offense to that. it's just what i hear from it. all in all it is a monster track & one of my favs on the site. thanks for creating it.
i hope you like it. it was really fun to write over. it's all about your inner demons getting the best of you, turning your idle mind into the devil's playground.
this is exactly the kind of stuff I was thinking about!the lyrics are really good and I think it would have been better if the beat was a bit longer to give you some more space for the lyrics.I bet you could have made it to a five minutes song
i hope you enjoy it. i absolutely enjoyed rhyming over it. the levels are a bit off, but i wanted you to hear it before i clean it up and put it up on soundcloud, etc...
