Always a pleasure to read your comments, thanks for taking the time to listen. I agree, these particular set of libraries are really awesome. Using Project SAM's Orchestral Essentials for the backing strings coupled with some Emotional Cello sustain patch, can't remember the name. This is mostly from the Emotional Cello Library on Kontakt player.
Oh and you really wouldn't want to see me producing these, having to use the 32 bit version of my DAW since some of my plugins are refusing to work with the 64 bit, which means I'm limited to 4GB of ram. These patches are not resource friendly. I'm having to freeze a lot of my tracks and have the full source in a separate file.
You may be right, there's a track on my SoundCloud (and here) titled Amy's Theme, a good friend and she provides me with a lot of inspiration without even trying.

The vocal sounds a little too thick and muddy. I think a low-cut and a slight boost in the higher frequencies will help sharpen out the vocals. Also, maybe trying to add a stereo delay instead of a mono delay might help de-clutter the vocal.
I think the instrumental is amazing, as always though. I can't wait to hear the finished version, and I'm being serious about that. The solo after his first segment is really cool, but maybe you can toy with another sound? I feel like you could make an already catchy solo melody even better with a different sound.
Overall, it's a great start.

I laughed more than I should have at this comment.
The song sounds like it's clipping at some parts (unless thats the synth sound??) This mix is so WIDE. I love it. What DAW do you use? This is quite unique in the best way possible.
ER
There are 2 sources who are clipping (to reproduce we are inside the net nor phones) the first is the bass drum who I use massive distortion (start at 25 sec) the second one is a weird pad I found called Pomona in Harmor.( in the intro and the last part)
The DAW I use is Fl studio 12. I found the way to make envelope pretty easy and since im visual I love seeing everything on tracks. The master is neat too
Thanks for that "This is quite unique in the best way possible." this like a objective for me I hate music without layering of story inside...
Thanks for that epic comment dear EpicRecord !

I use Reaper as my DAW. Love it and it is very reasonably priced.
Guitar is an Ibanez N427. Bass is an Ibanez GSR200.
My Line in is a Presonus Audiobox USB.
I run my guitars and bass Dry and use VST effects. I very rarely record anything that is not dry because I love being able to try different effects in the mixing stage.
I would say 95 percent of the time I use Guitar Rig 5 VST. Absolutely love it.
On this specific track the rhythm guitars (There are 2) Are panned 51% on the right and 60% on the left. Right is using an effect called Black Malcom Rhythm. Basically it is a close simulation of the rhythm guitar on Back in Black. Left is using Foo Monkey Ultra. A semblance of Foo Fighters Monkey Wrench I believe. Both guitars have also been EQ'd separately to bring out the tone I wanted.
2 lead guitar tracks are panned 51% each. On those we have Right side Foo Monkey Grat and the Left is Tweed Delight Sweep Delay. It is one of my favorite effects and is what gives the guitar a psychedelic feeling. Both of those are EQ'd as well.
Bass is panned Center and using an effect called Precise Bottom. It is EQ'd as well.
Then once I get everything sounding good I drop Izotope Ozone 5 on the Master channel and I am using a 4 band called Precise Bottom. Hope that helps.

If you don't know what I mean, it's basically the same thing as vocal double-tracking, which you've got down it appears :P
If you double-pan your guitar you'll see how wide and airy your mix will get :)
I like this song. Theres a lot of personality in your words and chord choice - very tasteful and catchy imo.
Good work on this one. Try double-tracking your guitar :)
I promise you won't regret it.

I use FL Studio 11 as my DAW and usually use Massive and Harmor to make the drops and leads.

Thank you for nice words! I am happy you liked some of my older works - I wasn't really intertionally going for eighties feel and any kind of stylistical 'correctness' here. I simply 'combined' different sounds so to speak haha
Thanks again for listening to my music
and all the best to you,

I listened to your song and it doesn't sound too bad imo, maybe the vocals could be just a little louder. And maybe just a little bit more low-end on the drums but again, it's actually a decent mix.

I REALLY like the sound. Very organic sounding. Man, I wish we could compose stuff together haha.

I don't believe there is a one time payment option. There's yearly, though the alternative is to pay $500 or more per library, then of course you have a licence to use the libraries whenever you wish.

Thanks for listening, and for your feedback! It's $26.99 monthly for $$$$ thousands worth of libraries, the real reason I purchased it was to get my hands on Hollywood Strings.
