pretty cool bro. glad to see some Dub up in this playlist. not enough these days. keep at it man we need more talented producers working in this genre. cheers
Grimy as Fuk! i dig bro. Vocals sound clear and your def tapping into that type of flow very well. one comment, and this is not meant to be offensive, but i was not sure if your "accent" was authentic or if that was just a vibe your going for/ either way doesnt not impact the quality of song, the only reason i bring it up is because it crossed my mind in a couple of spots it felt like maybe that was not your natural cadence/ seriously not hating, just curious and figured maybe it could help you to know what my impressions where. overall solid ass track
Thanks bro, appreciate the feedback, Not actually me on the vocals its my guys in atlanta who i know for a fact do too many drugs lmao so that might be what your getting att about the accents, thank u bro
i really dig this one, its got nice bounce. me and my partner Xel Xel are starting to work on collabs more often lately ill hit you up to get some work going maybe. We just a track with a featured producer and it was great to get to focus on just my verse for once! might want to make it a regular thing
sounded solid af. beat is dope. one thing the vox where a lil dry and over powering. maybe bring them into the mix a bit more with some reverb or something. get them to sit in there just right and you got a solid track here
what a surprise bro for real. I just logged in and clicked the first song that i saw and i just stumbled upon this looperman gem. Im not sure what all the remix comp stuff is about but i would like to hear the other guys shit if this didn't take first place. this is one of the most professional sounding high quality tracks I've ever hear on looperman. I can't say that its my fav style to listen to but thats besides the point. Your mix is impeccable. The sound is familiar but fresh. The vibe is achieved and then some. Well done is not enough but thats all that i can say at this point. Well done.
Thank you sir for the kind words. Sadly the contest had over 400 entries and the judges didn't really listen to all the songs. I used the strategy of putting the song up last minute and that backfired on me. Next time I'm putting my entry up right away.
what a killer instrumental on this shit bro. For real. Ive seen your shit grow so fast as of late. Im more of a lurker then looper but i check out whats up pretty often and been on ur scent for a min now. I hear a recent level up in this track. Love to work with one of these unique beats ur kicking out. Check out My girl and Me in the group SoloCult or just google "SickHop" if you want to check out what we do. I got some stuff on loopy too but i think we could make some magic bro. Hit me back if ur game, ill check back on looperman tomorrow sometime. Strong work though
such a fun arrangement. Haven't heard ur other stuff but i can see you are on ur grind and getting in your groundwork now to build up a real skill set eventually. Lyrically on par with hard working amateur hip hop artists or soundcloud rappers. But more then ur raps i really liked the beat. that whit was wonky as fuck. good job bro
really enjoyed this fashion of musical flavor here guys. caught me off guard right when the choir comes in. Love the idea and the vibe. My girl who is a rapper slash yoga teacher would prob love to do something with this type of feel. Ive yet to explore the inner me with her, and therefore am still inclined to making darker moody bass ridden smashers rather then this ethereal self reflective blanket of sound you guys are tapping into here. Who knows though maybe. Perhaps return your attention to some of the percussion changes throughout the track as well as the gain staging on the hats and percs, at times they really kinda overwhelm the softer elements of the piece. Well done though well done indeed
sounds like a solid start to something. I like the sample choice for sure, i guess just cause its early it hard to really feel the vibe all the way, just lacking that studio polish u know. But your Structure is well placed and the phrasing is perfect for a verse hook verse hook
we are all living this life by choice and it is but a single level of graduation on an infinitely progressing path of existence. when we die we are faced with the review of our own life full with the real raw emotions that accompany the memories we have, after which we are given choice, either be reborn and try again in hopes of learning more this time around, which is given at a slight cost of our memories of all that we are before this life, if you choose to move on you are once again faced with two options, if your a god fearing man you may find yourself in a place we would call hell, but it is of your own creation, if you have no fear of damnation then you can progress to what we may call heaven.but heaven is but a single level of existence in the infinity of space time. so if you find yourself sitting in a field with all the friends you would ever have laughing and signing to the tune of eternity, remember that for all the joy and pleasure we could know in this world, there are infinite variations and levels to know. always be growing and always be humble, honestly is the best policy because we really can lie to ourselves mistakes are made and lives are lost but this is but a single chapter in the book that is us.
Hello flonut7
Thank you very much for your wonderful feedback and the enlightening thoughts.
I find it very interesting and I do hope that we will meet after our death.
Do you really believe that ?
It is interesting what you say and I do believe it too.
One only can hope my friend.
Thanks again.

def got the starts of something here. Ill play with some vocals if i get time today and maybe see if my partner wants in. either way keep making art and music my friend we are in a desperate shortage in the world right now. Cheers
pretty sick. I could def see spitting something to this. Ill see if my partner wants to do something with this beat and if so ill let u know when we get something recorded
pretty dope. But you might want to lay off the limiter and Comp on the final export. Maybe u had something on the master channel that could be turned off to preserve the sound of this track. Its too good of a tune to loose to loudness wars
shit this is my first comment on a reggae song. Thankfully its a dope piece of music so i dont mind lending a few words to the cause. Very unique styling with the guitar. Feels very organic and has obviously been put together with much emotion and artistry. Feels like it could benefit from a lil bit of repetition as strange as that might sound. I got a lil bit lost in the various switch ups and vocal sections. But very enjoyable and very different. strong work
Hey Flonut, thanks for the listen man very much appreciated!... I guess this track being essentially an instrumental in my eyes enabled me to act chromatically within it's structure something I quite often do, however I get what your saying and if it had of been constructed with a dedicated vocal presence I definitely would have steered the bias in that direction and not taken so free range approach...thanks again mate! cheers Dave :)
diggin this vibe for sure. feel like the hook could benefit from a lil bit more attention, as far as the vocals go that is. They sound great but i might like them to be a lil less dry sounding, and maybe give them a bit more range in the stereo field. Feel a lil dry and narrow to me, especially compared to the smokey muted vocals on the verse. Really dig this track though
Im feeling this shit heavy. I love me some cinematic shit and this one really does convey a strong feeling reminiscent of some epic feature. And i def can see what your saying about the mind of a evil villain. However i get the feeling that this is about two characters, one good one evil, perhaps in the grips of a bitter rivalry that has been building in its intensity, growing in its need for some sort of resolution. I see the two characters each in their respective environment training for a fight, or building some sort of device/weapon to defeat the other. It could be applied to some sort of lord of the rings like saga with the montage showing the two armies training and getting ready for the climatic battle. Or it could just as easily fit in the form of a pair of boxers or fighters training in the gym and preparing for the big fight that would decide more then just who wheres the belt. Well done
and there goes one of the most adventurous tracks ive come across here on looperman in quite some time. rally dig the bipolar beats switching up every so often. This reminds me of my early work sort of. Minus all the mixdown errors and shitty sound quality. lol great job
heavy beat bro. Like the spaced out fx on the intro and the drums def convey some power.
Not to fond of the vocal on this one though. Not bad just not anything special in my opinion. the bridge? or prechorus is kinda dope though.
I think the side chaining went a lil bit south with this beat, maybe raise the threshold on the instruments being chained. and maybe pick a solid chunk of freq for you bass drum and carve away all the excess sound. It is coming through real muddy and flat. not sure if its the kick or if your chaining a sub bass but if that was cleaned up the vocals would sit a bit more solid in the mix i would think.
this is pretty epic bro pretty epic indeed. I have only seen a single episode of narcos but being a man of many interests, Mr Escrobar and the many delights of his native land have been of particular interest to me. I can feel the vibes man. really feel them. I dam near had to powder my nose after the first min and a half just to bring back those fond memories....i digress....
Strong arrangement and excellent instrumentation on this piece. Bass is dripping with swag and going fretless really allows a smooth flow of that low energy.
Cheers for a great track.
Hey thanks for the listen man!...glad you could connect with this tune mate, it reaffirms my theory that if you can visualise and see a track's meaning when you making it there's way more chance that someone else will also feel the continuity...thanks for the great review Floman!...all the best Dave :)
definitely on to something here. I almost forgot what i was listening to just now. was kinda transported away from my desk for those few min, and left wandering some place i can't quite recollect. Props. One thing though. I did feel a lil bit jared when the track ended. Like waking up from a nice dream before you wanted to. I think the track could use a lil bit more of a climax or some sort of musical resolution to the feeling of anticipation i had while listening to this piece. very nice
Thanks flonut7! I'm happy you enjoyed this one. That's great to know that this piece was able to take you on a journey. I agree I could have ended the track better, but did it like so for the animation I had in mind for this. I will keep your tips in mind.

much appreciated!
