Hi. I'd never heard of the original song before so I went and checked it out and liked it. Lana Del Ray has a good vocal here.
I think you have done well as your version works just fine. It's cleanly and well produced though I'm not sure it offers a lot more than the original. It seems to be pretty much the same structure and not much of a different genre from the original.
Same vocal at the same tempo (I think) and that's what I'm really listening to. I guess I'm hard to please and was looking for something quite different or unusual.
You beats are all tight, as are your synths so you can be very happy with this working as another version.

Actually I had the same problem you are suggesting with my song. it's more like another version of the song than a remix. and I think that's because I'm a rock composer, not a DJ. so I actually composed another song.

lovely piano and in retrospect it seems to me also more suitable for keys than guitar, but i can imagine adding a rhythmic textural guitar in the background and maybe a voiced lead guit over the whole thing - i would try to channel some gilmour strat magic, can't go wrong with that :D

MisterAllea, this is a great composition, that shows a lot of thought - and talent. Beautiful piano work, I always love a piano in minor keys, but when you add the strings, that's where the true emotion of the piece comes into play. I can definitely see this one working in a film.
Like the minor chords..I think I start about 90% of my tunes in a minor...the piano and strings accompaniment is a wonderful combination for emotional/expressive music and seems to generate a little meloncholy...very nicely done MisterAllea...enjoyed this one......Ed
I think it was a great choice to go for the piano since this expresses the emotion so well ;) Great job on it and hope you make more like this since I would like to hear that then ;)
