Interesting track.
You are right, we can hear some of the drum loops "skips" but that's not a problem.
The main bass riff is very catchy. Good!
I think you need to be careful when adding a guitar on top of it: don't let the guitar hide this very nice groove.
And please, in case you add/change anything, post the new version: I would be interested in hearing how this song develops.
Ciao, Domenico
This is pretty awesome! Has a very nineties feel to it, which I like! Nice groovy bass line! Cool arrangement too! It's a very creative track! Nice one!
I like all of this. I'm a bass player so it's nice to see it in the foreground at times.
The only thing I could say, is Crossfades would help with a lot of the abrupt changes. You can hear the cuts and hear where things are butted up to each other, and a crossfade at the transitions is so fast that you wont notice it, but turns the hit into a swell. More like a naturally struck string.
All that aside, songs like this are why I have fallen in love with looperman. Originality is priceless, please retain yours for the betterment of mankind.
I like it! Do you mind if I add some guitar? Nothing heavy, actually I was thinking something like some wah and almost like a disco type filler/lead. Ya I said disco lol, I wish the size of the text could be reduced on that to emphasize a whisper but it is what it is...:)
Much, much better bro... :-)
This is praiseworthy, you "went back and made the whole piece again" (hahaha, this was just the positive criticism from that guy...look at his page, funny... :-)
hey man, i've been up all night editing this and had some inspiration. i added a couple more basslines and extended the bridge. i'm about to upload it and its much better, but i'm still not totally satisfied yet. i sent it into the radiostation and they played it this morning though, so i think they liked it...
Firstly, have to say it's a brilliant track by you (my bet is, that you are on bass...)
Though it's horribly over gained... at 2.37 when bass stops the music is much cleaner...
It's only positive criticism by me, hope this is not offend you...if yes, I'm so sorry :-)
ok i remastered it and added some more guitar loops and extended some of the basslines and added a proper intro. unfortunately eq'ing it reveals some of the skips in the drum loop but i think it sounds ok. i still have a lot to learn about music production, lol
Nice chopping man! That's funky bass is so cool! Never know what to expect when I click on a hardcore track, because it could be hardcore dance or hardcore punk or hardcore metal, and this seems to combine all of them! Very cool!
Great use of the low tones and basses. Most low and slow stuff I hear gets really... um... hmmm... smushed. Can't undestand it usually, but you did pretty good with the low stuff. Great song.
Thank you anonami. I understand what you are talking about with the sounds getting "smushed" together. in fl studio, you can just right click on the instrument and select "cut itself" to keep the sound from bleeding. I have more music up on my myspace and purevolume. if you want the link id be glad to share it. Cheers and happy new years!
