Like others have said, that kick drum really kicks butt!! Very catchy track, danceable and a head nodder for sure. You did this on a broken piano? Way to work around a problem and come up with a cool track!
First thing that stands out here is your very fat kick drum. Also the dreamy pads. Quite a predictable combination of sounds to start with but then it gets better when the main bassline kicks in (0:36).
So, pretty melodic stuff. Around 1:07 can I hear some very subtle vocals in the background?
This would be quite popular on dancefloors around the world as you can definitely move to it. It's probably a bit too commercial for my tastes but then that's me so nothing to worry about.
I appreciate it for what it is and imagine it was fun to make. Well produced too so I don't have any particular improvement suggestions.
Let me be the first to tell you what a sunday afternoon you gave us...we danced (I can't, but my Lady and my 8 years old girly yes) and laughed for 3.30...:-)
Fantastic piece of electric dance music Anders...
The 'riff' from 1.05 is outstanding...
Much respect and thankx again for the adventure...

I'm truly glad that your family found this tune danceable, but more important that all of you had a good laughter.
“And here we have it. The post from the one and only? Static Nomad.”
Yes, it’s the one and only me back again. I’m glad my review was interesting to you.
I’m not sure if I always expect “greater fill-ins and louder drums” from your tracks. Probably because I can’t remember my previous reviews of your tracks. Well, maybe one in which I suggested some drum improvements.
I do happen to like lots of drum movement and activity, as you’ve probably noticed from my own work.
One thing I do find is that once you start doing regular fills in a track (so, at the end of every bar or every other bar) you kind of have to keep it up otherwise it sounds like something is missing. However, if you have fewer fills in a track, it doesn’t sound like there’s anything missing if you continue not having many fills. I hope that makes sense.
So, if the drums don’t do fills very often, it’s perhaps more noticeable when they do. Anyway, you’ve probably already worked this sort of thing out for yourself. I just thought I’d mention it.
Aside from drum fills, I also like drum stops/dropouts of a half or quarter bar. That’s very effective and just as dramatic as a drum fill. Especially when the drums come back in even bigger.
I still think your track is good and there’s no reason for you not to be proud of and declare it the best thing you’ve done.
What can i say, I'll print this out and cover my wall! I can't wait for your next review. There is a new one coming out soon which contains vocals, my first with vocals.
Really nice track. This one grooves really nice and the 8 bit touch works very well. Has a bit of house flavor in it, jamming 8 bit tune! Reminds me a bit of probably my favorite gba titles, the Megaman Battle Network series. Has a hint of that to it. Great work, peace
Cool track, but I'm unsure what 8bit chiptune. Is it music for games? Please pardon my ignorance, but I've seen a few of these and never really knew what it was.
Hi Scott, I can understand that there is people out there that doesn't know what a 8 bit chip tune is. I'll give it a try. An 8 bit chip tune is a tune created for the 8 bit platforms like Nintendo Entertainment System NES or like the Commodore 64. Since the different platforms has got different sound chips but with the kind of the same sound like sawtooth, waveform, square and triangle sounds all of them sounds alike in a way that can be described as a chip tune. Since many of the users spent hours playing a game with music in the background many of the old players recognize the typical computer game sound.
I have no idea if you still know what I'm talking about and there are people out there that can put it in other words, so just google it if you feel like you still did not get it. English is not my mother tongue you know ;)
Thanks for listening and your time spent on comment
This is the best 8bit chip tune i think i've ever heard. You've managed to blend those old arcade sounds perfectly with some great synth sounds. I don't know what the original sounds like but this is pretty mega. I love the soloing as well, it's very uplifting and definitely fun to listen to.
I like your style aelmen, it's quirky and a little bit different.
Great stuff.

Yes!
Remember that it was Jeicee that made the original track and the arcade sounds is all a part of his work. I remastered the track and made room for the lead plus some minor additional sounds. Nice that you found this track as one the best chip tune you've ever heard, that's fantastic to hear and you are right, I feel like my work really is different on good and bad.

Actually the vocals that you noticed is the sound of a totally demolished guitar.
Yes, it was pretty fun to make. Quite far from what kind of genre i use to do.
In next song I will be using my latest acquisition, superior drummer from toontrack. :)
