Have to agree with you austinmusic...there is just something special..perhaps to my mind also more honest about just a good song well delivered (you really nailed the feeling) and accompanied with the acoustic guitar..the little additions really embellish it just perfectly...superb fat sound you have going down on record with that acoustic....This is one hell of a fine song and a superb performance by you...definite fav for me...and a big well done to you....keep on...Ed
Really nice track! I think you've definitely landed on something special with your stripped down arrangement. Vocals are great. Lyrics are really good. Excellent work, Austinmusic!
A heartfelt wonderful piece, I am adding this to my favorites because i love to come back and listen to something that makes me feel good . It is great to find good music that has meaning ..
This song gave me chills. I love the simplicity of the instrumentals, and your voice is amazing. Now I'm nitpicking here but at 1:40, the bass wobbles like its out of tune.
The thing that is wonderful about this site and why its still my favorite after all these years is that you never know what you will get when you press play on someone's track...but I certainly struck gold today!
I really enjoyed your song. It drew me in right from the start. I love the way it flowed. Excellent lyrics. An all round good job.
Austinmusic, this track is so emotional, so moving. I tear up whenever I listen to it, especially when I turn up the volume and your voice fills the entire room.
The song has comfortably settled in my head and it seems like it has no plans of leaving. Heheh.
Beautiful, beautiful heartfelt vocals. I got chills when the backing vocals/chorus entered. Poignant lyrics. Love the instruments/loops you chose.
Amazing work.
It makes me want to do a cover of the track, or a duet, or provide harmonies for you. Hehe.
I do hope one day you get to sing this onstage in front of thousands of people.
Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed it and it resonated with you! Please feel free to do a cover if you'd like, or I would also love to duet if you ever are interested, I love your voice.
I know you hear to this a lot, but this song is amazing. Just too good man! Teach me how to make something like this. I listen to a lot of indie music, but is there any tutorials?
Dang boi, do you do all your own producing? I really like the drum kit. I think the chorus builds perfectly. It's not that the drums take away from the vocals but that they're a bit low-quality, and a better mic would solve this problem. Seriously, this is a good track. I like it a lot. I can't get over those drums. I'm very impressed. You may want to look up the Behringer B1 condensor mic for personal use, it's only 100 USD and can really elevate your vocals and put them on the same level as your instrumental. I used the Behringer to record an older track of mine: https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/163848 just in case you're interested in how it sounds.
Yeah, I do it all myself. The drums are actually a mixture of 4 different pre-loaded kits. But thank you! I'm working on getting a new mic, so thanks for the suggestion. My old one was damaged while I moving and hit the dust. Going to get a better keyboardist on here and some real guitars I think next.
Pretty cool track, dig the piano, awesome chorus. The concept is great. I have a song called the Fool where the fool was me and wrote it about something foolish I did.
One suggestion I will make is to not introduce the kick until the chorus. The impact would be greater when it "kicks" in and honestly, I think it takes away from the singing in the verses. Maybe try a hi hat or some percussion through the verses, something less impactful to make the words be the focus.
Hey thanks, appreciate it. I agree that the chorus isn't popping enough and it's a little distracting in the verses, but I've tried every arrangement and it's always a little too sparse in the verses then without the kick, the chorus ends up sticking out too much. Been trying to do a quieter, more simple drum part for the verses, just to give it something.
Wow, those guitars sound real! I'm definitely impressed. Did you use all Garageband plugins or have some 3rd party sounds? They sound very good for VSTs.
Haha really? Thanks! I'm always so worried they're sounding too fake. I just use the Garageband and Logic Pro 9 plugins and do a lot of layering and editing to get real-ish sounds.
I agree with danke, this is better than most finalized stuff. Are those real guitars or is that all part of Garageband? Still in love with your voice man haha. You have your style. Hope to see you get somewhere far with your voice.
what a great demo...better than the average final stuffs here...hope you finish it with finding a good collab on this...collab for the mixing work anyway?
