music of horror misanthropy and experience -
fields of blades
harvests of diminished humanity
gun food for Khomeini
lives cut down forever
or split in half lives
or spit into cells and damaged
within an inch of being free
which is the cruelest thing?

tear them up, brother

Those bells are cool and also slightly disturbing. This is some very far out and creative stuff - certainly cinematic. I'm actually not sure the guitar soloing fits, partly because the tone doesn't fit the other sounds. And I'm a guitarist myself. Very dense, tribal groove transition around 2:10 that I wasn't expecting. But then the return on 3:10 to the previous stuff I find it a bit strange. It feels like that 1 minute of tribal stuff was too short and probably needed to be at least twice as long. Instead, I guess you way of having more of it was to go back to it at the end. More in that middle section would probably make it better.

thnx alot for your carefully attention which is worthy of greatest appreciations for me ,as U've analyzed it right bell was a notable point for making that theme , in fact this idiophonic line by shrill sound behind intrvals of those 3 lines pad works as condimenT by riding on intervals to make desirable atmospher of expressinG the matter .regardinG your idea abouT 2';10'' , according to my tendency to A Tonality & dodecaphonic music , in that momenT,note has bend to begin from minus 189 syntonic comma of didymus to come to main tonalotY which in this process there'll be 2.1 comma played in 0.37 seconds ( buT in 2.1 time = 1seconds & 0.14 )note found dissonance interval toward tonic note ,which is noT something False for sure , buT something which U don'T use to hear .it's like we could play guitar in octave of Countre Bass ( it mean sol changes to Fa which Cellon is written on it in music as U know & then again goes to Do which counterBass is written on that )buT I know it's something unsusual for cnsonance listeners.if U are jminded to underestand what my calculations says U can listen another bending process of mine in my previous uploaded trial :http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/145646 to underestand what has happend behind that music .
& regardinG your idea abouT membranophonic parT I'm agree with U ...buT there was an apathetic sensation in me about iT ( also about that 1seconds & 0.14 )which made me quarter to my beloved phrase '' never mind '' instead of trying to make it longer .
else & beside my colleague , density of my guitar was according to sigma of lines behind which made the same atmosphere in intro parT & functionallY follows density of sound waves = this formul if U may know :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_energy_density
& this time I'm not agree cause according to my job , I live with numbers even as ##### parthner .
thnx aloT for your carefully attention Mr guitarist , and would be worthy of greatest respecT if let's use scientific phrases instead of '' fit '' which I don'T thnk if it's a Scientific word in music theorY which is build by numbers .
dear Mr.guitarist, commenting withouT respect and talking as a master talks with his studenT in comment , needs more calculation I think . as a guitarist who has been played by his guitars more than 21 years ,I've underestood our guitars work , cause our number ( human's numbers and calculations )has worked to can build iT.appology+thnX=respectfully.___Behnam

Hi Behnam,
I simply love the intro: the rest of the song is very good, but the first 2 minutes are simply excellent!
The tone of your guitar is beautiful: tight and compressed at the right point. The first thing a guitarist needs is a good tone, and you have it my friend.
Ciao, Domenico

Domenico wish all is well , thnx for your presence & attention , regardinG your idea abouT first 2 min I'm gracefull to see
U've felT the same with me , all in all membranophonic movemneT doesn'T convince(your usual word is this word!) me
just atwharT some times an apathetic sensation says me what difference does it make when I'm suposed to never publish them seriouslY ..else & atwharT again I'm more agree with comment after U in which our dear colleague noticed a true matter which my subjective apathY made me ignore thaT & qarter to my beloved phrase ''never mind ''..I mean to saY I
like just movement( A' )in form ( A_B_A'_B)of trial .both movements ( B = membranophone lines need to be wilder buT I had no idea ).personalY I think this trial was a serious one , buT I was noT serious abouT iT enough ...any way ..never mind , best wishes.___B

Those guitar licks are so effective and sweet in the intro of the song, great build up. I appreciate you sending me the track, after a few more listens I can really appreciate the creativity and thought that went into the track. Great job constructing this one, stirring and thought provoking. Always enjoy listening in, thanks for sharing!

Dear Behnam,
I haven't got the skills to speak accurately about music, so I just searched for quotations by Nietzsche that, to me, really match what I felt when listening carefully to this piece of yours .

"Life without music is simply a mistake, a tiredness, an exile."
"Remember to forget ."
"Become what you are . Make what you alone can make ."
"Will releases ."
"What does not destroy me makes me stronger ."
"Monkeys cannot be at the origin of man . They are much too kind ."
"It is difficult to live among humans because it is difficult to hold one's tongue ."
"Man needs the worst part of himself if he wants to reach the best one ."

Do take care, deary .
Thx a lot ...

but beyond phylosophical point of view , & beyond kidding , there's somewhere calls relativism , in which I prefer to stand & tell U thnx aloT for so much time & all your lovely worthwhile thaught to tell em something which U thaughT would be better & instructive for me ....just to know , for me Carole has so much more respecT than Nietzsche ...I know her abiT ..& she thinks much better than that death man .

Wow you really schooled me on the whole light and sound thing =p. I did not know light had momentum. That's cool! And you've made some things a bit clearer. Now your track has more meaning (to me). The tempo at speed of light is very cool.

So you're vacuumed to Iran because no matter what you do, you will always be sucked right back to your home, because its part of U. Correct me if i'm wrong..

and.. VacUUmed = Vac-YOU-meD.. i think intentional ?

Either way I believe this piece goes much deeper than i can interpret haha. Nevertheless it's beautiful piece.

oh for the credit, I was not annoyed at all, whatsoever. You're completely right. I was simply being honest =)

Interesting... Unique! I like all the elements.. I kind of like the sound of things in half speed. I don't know why, it's kind of dark, but also very interesting to hear things fragmented.... the deep sounds of things in slow motion. Maybe it's just me haha.

Awesome flamenco style guitar playing. As ever, brilliant work!

Behnam. You write such moving music. I love hearing your interpretations. Like BrillBilly already said, i really like that you allowed the track to be 'gentle'. Dynamics are what set the mood, and my friend you know this well.

Did you know that it is not possible for sound to travel through a vacuum? Because sound, travels through the molecules in air, and there is no air in a vacuum (or space!). So you must be from another planet or something sent to show us the error of our desensitized music tastes so used to overproduced, cookie cut "songs" we hear on the radio everyday. Your work has character! Real music in all its purity and imperfections. Just as it should be.

Paora ,my young tallented friend. thnx alot for your attention.as U can see in my description , I've asked where are U from to make U know '' VacUUmed '' means '' Iran '' for me , where we live in sanction here if .did U know I can'T exiT from this countrY which is my VacUUmed ? this music is noT abouT my voice or my sound,it's about my beinG born,my existance, something which is burning in me like a VacUUmed tube .my young friend , according to being an engineer for sure I know sound waves (kinetic energy dispersing through a medium) requires something to travel through. So how can photons transfer kinetic energy (and at such velocity) without a medium. photons carry kinetic energy as shown by the photo electric effect and the fact that they have mass when not in a rest state. Also, if a laser is directerd onto a suspended metal surface the surface will rotate? That's just one of the wild things about light, it requires no medium to travel through. Photons do not have mass, but they do have an energy and momentum (they simply are not given by KE=12mv2 and p=mv .You might have been confused. Sound propagate in vacuum but light can 300,000m/s . & that is the tempo of this music of mine which was abouT my being , Behnam Zandi as U can see in it's title .
my young colleague , try to have a better control on your nerve & noT be annoyed when someone tells U should crediT when U use an acapella .thnx & respects.___Behnam

Fantastic track Behnam. I thought my coffee was wearing off when things slowed down, lol. Very beautiful track, peaceful and happy feeling. Cool effects on the instruments and the slow change in the middle was unexpected. I always enjoy percussion in tracks, it really brightens up a song and makes it so much more interesting to listen to. Enjoyed this very much!!

fantastic and artistic creation, its music to me with a deeper meaning than any word combinations could have.
in that spirit let me tell you this is a "well said" in the language called music.
what is the language of music i hear some ask?
well... *jeopardy theme music fade in*
technically it's just different densities in air, according to simple patterns which rely on most basic arithmetic ratios. but then the brain is capable of converting this universal code of different ratios in pitch and duration into electrochemical signals. so every brain is converting pressure deviations in the ear within a fraction of a moment into a complex relational mapping of ridiculous amounts of data and creates expectations based on it. way to go brain!
but then there's also the part i don't and never will understand, why it affects the soul and emotion apart from being connected to memories and bias like we know. sometimes i wish i could listen to music for the first time ever with a blank mind. after wiping all my memories, emotions and knowledge related to anything musical. no more expectations or biased listening.
but why am i writing all these things? honestly, i was just fascinated once again when i started to think about it and then got carried away! i am sorry and hope it was at least entertaining :D
i really like this musical concept and my brain and soul approve and become brisk.

PS: would love to have this in my playlist, if you dont mind please send me a mp3

Hello Benham...thank you for the copy you sent (I still cannot get the Looperman track to play)...but I must say...you excel with the classical guitar...it is superbly played and you carry the main percussive style theme through the song with some wonderful embellishments....this is great playing Behnam...The section from 1:45 to 2:33 brings a much darker feeling (I would call it ominous or dangerous) while the rest of the musical journey is very happy and upbeat....perhaps the darker section reflects your personal thoughts...I must also say a very well done to you on the production...the tone, clarity and balance are excellent (even to my ears that are not as good as they used to be)...I hear that you have been very thoughtful and precise in the composing and most skillful in bringing it together for us to hear.....Bravo....your accomplishments should be shared with the younger people in your country as encouragement for their musical creativity......Well done to you.
