ok.
...yeah.
proper.
agree with what my fellow looperFam have said. the synth melodies are gorgeous...beautifully juxtaposed with that naughty wobble you drop. solid drums, beautiful transitions and great production value overall.
yes, it is reminiscent of Flux, but ive always tried to strive not for imitation, but emulation. i think youve done just that with this track.
well done!
Dude i feel like you took a page straight out of flux pavillion's handbook haha. the melodies at the beginning blew me away. you should do a youtube video on how you create such smooth transitions between the heavier bass synths and the melody synths at the beginning! keep up the good work.
I'd love to do a youtube tutorial, however my computer is about as powerful as a potato, so it probably won't happen in the near future. Maybe someday though...
Great dubstep in general, but one thing I really like is that, if someone didn't bother reading the description, they might think you were about to lead into some techno or trance beats with the synths you were using at first. I like that little mix and misdirection.
I just started making beats on FL so really haven't figured out the program, yet, but this is why I want to learn it. Dubstep.
Oh I forgot to say. You should try Sidechaining the bass with the kick. Makes the kick seem more powerful. It's an Ideal trick for dubstep and house bro.
In a lot of my tracks I do sidechain my lead bass to the kick, but in this one I didn't, I only sidechained the sub. Since I already had the drums playing in the intro, they weren't adding very much energy, so sidechaining my lead bass caused a distinct lack of energy.
Good advice though, sidechaining is super helpful.
This is Great!. Especially for Flstudio, you may get this from people, but the way the melody was setup. It sort-of reminds me of Flux Pavilions "Bass Cannon"
Yea it's pretty similar to the bass cannon, but in other ways it's different. Bass cannon is designed to kill live, and my track has melodies, ambiance, and it progresses and evolves.
thanks for the review! This track is relativity old, for me at least haha. I've been aiming to do a newer progressive electro/house track sometime soon, so if you like this stuff be sure to stay tuned in.
When you say you "wrote" the song i'm assuming you draw the ALL the notes in for every instrument then? that's insane if you do. unless you just not music theory. which i do not lol i just go off instinct, passion, and inspiration. but this is really nice man. definitely chills back like you imply. faved. regards
Yep! I wrote every part for every instrument. I do know music theory too though, but it's not like it makes writing easier, it just tells you why something works.
Insane use of effects and stutters man! really makes you want move and really "rave" all night! lol crazy ill stuff man. nice buildups and transitions throughout. the piano is a nice addition as well. nice frantic synth too. great job!
Yea it has. I still produce ambient from time to time, but mostly just incorporate ambient elements into other genres. I have an ambient remix on my soundcloud page though...
Absolutly loving this, downloaded and faved. Theres a few number of tracks that I come across here that snag for the ol itunes library and the ipad, and listen to them while driving, and this is the newest additoin to that playlist.
Thanks! I've been experimenting with making my own oscillators and waveshapes, and I've found it lends itself to basses quite well. Glad to hear you like it!
Breaks got some potential, they may need to be amped/compressed/limited a little more. Liquid DnB usually has tight breaks, this is a little loose.
Piano sounds great, and I know what you mean by the whole softer/muffled sound, it is difficult but you did a good job on that. You may need a bit more of the 800-2500Khzs on the whole. It's so difficult to create a liquid track, but you've done well.
Keep it up!
Steve
I agree that the drums need more variation. The music I make normally though has very little, so I am pretty n00b with this style of drumming. Definitely working on this!
Man this is a good liquid Dnb!
Piano is awesome, nice gentle notes, also a good synth, transitions, and drums!very relaxed vibe, I really like this track!

FL studio is a great program, I really love it. I can't wait to hear what you do with it a month or so down the road!
