I'm really enjoying this track! And I feel where you're coming from. Absolutely nice work, and unique production.
>To Endtransmission : I hear what you are saying, but it's my opinion that we DO need the ego. Who is supposed to drag us all kicking and screaming into the future except for someone who KNOWS that they can do it? I just got fired for this same resistance to confidence. If you know what the future will bring and you try to change things are warn others, the problem is in the skepticism or the underlying resistance to change. Not saying you are wrong, just had to throw my opinion in.
I have to say, you come across as arrogant, and you seem to think that your some kind of profit. You didn't predict anything, you looked at information like everyone else and came to a conclusion. The same conclusion as most other intelligent people. This IS advice for your music by the way. It's not meant to be an insult. The song is pretty good, the lyrics are not bad but involve only information that you'd hear on the news anyway. I'd dig a little deeper and really find out whats going on, then put that in your lyrics. We NEED people like you that want to get the truth about the world out, but we don't need an ego to go along with it. Also the mix needs sorting out in the vocals.
... and that's the truth mate. Keep searching, keep doing your music, and don't hate me for trying to help you and being honest. : p

REPLY TO BELOW: ""Goodbye" is about the world coming to end, which is something I predicted. However, no one believed me, and here I am gloating about how they should of listened. Any feedback would be great, as I feel like I'm improving as an artist as I create more tracks"
I'm getting two completely different pictures here. I'm going to just leave you to it mate, the reply you just gave makes me think that you're worse than I thought in the first place. You need to learn to accept critique. The people who have slagged me off the worst in my musical path have been the ones that helped me the most.
Just to clear things up, Im taking the persona of someone who thinks the world is coming to an end (which evidently is in this case)
As for my personas arrogance, Im glad it was pointed out as I wanted him to come off that way. I believe this guy deserved to have such an ego as it was he who tried to tell these people all along that the world was ending, but they didn't listen, calling him a freak, etc
And as for the prediction, it was one as it was a vision this guy had, that the stars would fall. Now that it's too late, we see the consequences now emerge, which is being broadcasted all across the world in the news now.
Some people see songs differently to others, and that's great because they've taken the time to really divulge into the song.
Hi Blake...this is a cool tune..I think the music though relegated to the background is a perfect vehicle for your voice..I can see your really starting to get the inflections going with theatrical nuances all over the place...this particular style with the vocals front and centre (where they belong in my opinion)really has the potential to go places...some time down the track I'd like to feature you voice with some of my music...cheers planet :)
As for vocal altering, I'm still really a beginner. I mean, I have 2 vocoder plug-ins, but I'm yet to use it. I'm sure I'll become more aware on how to use vocoders in the future. Ty
ma lady will love that trak, she'll be on the couch bouncin bout, singing that at me even tho its her that like that haha.
i love that sound youve used that makes it all bounce along nicely in that groove man, lyrics were nah, nah ah nah nah in a childish sort of way as if too say u cant touch me. would go down well in a club with all the posers in there pushing there weight about cuz peps cud sing it 2wards those who know who they are...reflections
Hey Blake....great feel and I dig your voice!...your hitting a good sonic zone here....this "works"...I guess when it boils down to it that's the main goal...great natural delivery..but with a sophisticated polish...the supporting beat is a cracker as well....nice one! cheers planet
Hey PJB, thanks for your review. Basically, what I believe I lack in vocal talent (since I really cannot sing for crap - my voice was reverbed a little to make it not sound "un-listenable") I try to make up for in great music and meaningful lyrics, so I'm glad you (and Jack) have noticed that
When I got to the end of this, all I could think about was how much this sounds like a direction Trent Reznor might have expanded from post-The Downward Spiral. It almost feels like you are confronting someone because the music has this vibe like it's your "backup" or "muscle". Interesting.
Neat vibe! The bass synth is played in reverse aKa "reflection" Very wierd and trippy sound. "Your Gonna Freak Out!" Keep up the new wave sound and groove shadow444.. peace, dance, and love-making... djcliff
I love it! this puts me in mind of shriekback or something, which is just great! And I completely hear what you are speaking about, I know people like this... too many people.
not bad brutha,
nice melodies, very catchy!
vox might be a little too loud, other than that i think you got ya self a good single there, which tells a common story, if you know what i mean, i see it all the time!
sounds like a pretty good collection of sounds, with a lot of variety, which is good!
id say well done to you man for completing nearing 2 albums worth of decent sounding tunes!
quiet a talent mate, keep it up!!!
PEACE

PS, ohh seeing as your also Aussie, i bet you listen to 'mix-up' on triple j on Saturday night. if not you definately should, there is heaps of electro tunes flying about, it sounds quite similar to some of your house tunes!!!!
personally the tunes changes to much for me, you have so many different melodies mix in there! that potentially could be other tracks! i liked certain parts a lot! but i can't say i liked the vocals, sorry!
id love to do a remix of it! however id only use a few of the several melodies you put in there, and make it darker.

i'm listening to your reverb nation account at the mollment.
And don't worry about the any of the singing in my songs, I suck at singing. I just aim to impress through the music.

Haha, yes I listen to Triple J on the weekends, along with Triple R, Nova- Overdrive and Ministry of Sound Sessions on Fox FM.
Triple R & J are great cos' they play alternative electro, as well as some minimal stuff. It's great. I alternate through all 4 station till like 4am
