Alright mate! Finally got a bit of time to catch up with some of the kind folks who've lent me their ears since i've been out of action.
This is really good. Reminds me a little of something from Sasha's "airdrawndagger" album. Very chilled out. Great atmospheres and explosive drum section. It has kind of an oriental vibe to it and i can see why this one's been such a hit with other members.
Best piece i've heard today without a doubt.
FR
So I took a good listen at this piece and it's so wonderful that I did a moderate sweep of all your other tracks in your
Discography. I must say impressive, very impressive, not too shabby for a 2 year old electronic EDM composer.
You have some variety going on in your work and style but I would say for most of your Trance EDM work I would probably put you in the Deep Dark Progressive House genre. That's just my opinion and your work is fabulous, I got an ear for really good Deep Dark artists. Bravo!
I'm already a fan of Alen's D&B work so it would stand to reason that i was going to like this. You have the skill thats required to take a loop and make it your own which is what it's all about. Nice melody, bass lines ands build ups make this number a pleasure to listen to.
Great track.
FR
The one thing that annoys me about this site is great tracks like this slip by with a measly two comments. Love your production, love your choice of sounds, love the vibe of the track, love the transitions and i cant say a bad word about it.
You've just gained a new fan.
FR
This comment has made my day, dude! I'm glad someone likes what I'm doing. Belive or not, I've stopped making tracks, because of the lack of time caused by the university, BUT this comment made me make up my mind. I'll start doing it again!
Light my friend this track is more then ready. Superb piece of work. This bangs and then bangs some more. Quality mate, pure quality. This had me chair dancing in front of the PC. I am most impressed.
The bass frequency ate away keys at the main intro - was this a limiter - I liked the way it developed though dude - introducing the growls was a good move - it had a nice feel once it errupted forward - good job
Yeah, you got that right. It's a limiter, that SHOULD actually work well. The version I'm listening to is at 320kbps and I have no problems with it. The uploaded one is at 192 kbps, maybe the limiter is too strong for this one. Thanks for your comment, I'ma figure out something.
cheers
And I know exactly what you mean when you write closing your eyes, if it misses I have to change my track too. Check em out. Let me know what you think! Cheers https://www.looperman.com/users/tracks/394854
Hey man, love the subtle bongo you got goin on in there. Liked the eerieness like not knowing whats coming and and I like the progression. Well done fella!
I know you have a melody in there, but it's barely noticeable. I'm talkin THUNDAHBRINGER.
Of course, this is just my opinion. I really have no business telling other people how to make their music. I just felt it's necessary to provide a compliment, a review, and something that could make the track better.
I see now. Well, I think you got me there. Let me find something that turns this into a rampage...gonna take some time tho. :) keep checking my uploads, there is a lack of good revisions nowadays :D
I love how intense this song is. It's a beautiful mix of chaotic balance. The sound effects you've added really add in a better story line and gives the listener a much better understanding of what's going on. If there's one thing I could add though; it would be a melody. Some sort of dramatic pitch of high and low frequencies that would turn this assault into a rampage.
You've shown some true skill with the mastering and effects here, I think if you added just a bit more, you'd have something worthy of a 10 and a share on facebook. :D
To be honest, I don't really know, what you mean by adding a melody to it. I mean, it already has some little melody-like thing in it. I'd be glad, if you explained that to me. OR, if you prefer, you could show it to me by sending that melody you are missing, in a form of mp3 or flp.
It's been a while since I last visited Looperman. Saw your track in the "featured". I rather liked your track. I read the review by Fayz - he said something's missing, so I listened again. I suppose you could bolster it here and there. Sometimes I fill out my tracks with a short visit ( a bar or two ) with something unexpected like a barking dog - if someone hears that and says something, then I know they've paid attention. What I like is character in music - you have that. Anyhow, I like your track and will download it, thank you.
ha i loved it, it feels happy but with a dark sense
i wont write a novel like i did on your other tracks, it can be a bit to read sometimes.
really enjoyed this track though it just screams amazing
the beat is sexy, and the bass... well im a bass kinda guy and i think this track gave me the fix for the night
if you never make an album it would be a shame!
but ima head to bed now,
much respect
and keep doing what your doing, cus its working
wow i cant help but be amazed at your work, i love the jungle kind of beat, it drew me in instantly, this track kind of sounds like an interlude on an album, but i can definitely hear the vocals, driven and strong, with some ambient feel.
the flute? synth? idk which, stroke of genius, i love how your tracks just move along, they dont get boring and they make me want to listen over and over.
i wish the track would be longer, its really beautiful.
.
i dont generally like to push myself inside comments to people's tracks, i find it to be rude, but i do sing high tenor, i realize it's not female vocals, but im sure i could work some kind of magic if you ever wanted to finish this track.
.
but the more i listen to your tracks, the more im thinking
"i gotta collaborate a song with you" your music is so beautiful it drives alot of emotion out in me, and thats all i look for when i listen to any kind of music, if it doesnt make me feel anything its not really music, and your tracks are just so defined within themselves, i dont think you should ever just stick to one genre, you got all basis covered!
.
much love and respect
I have'nt listened to this one for almost a year. Now i did, and it still makes me remember those feelings. The only thing i can tell is that this track was the last one that I could make because of the pressure of feelings. I Really want to get that ability back. maybe I will once.
wow, i read your description, and while listening to the track i swear i could have cried.
this track is amazing it holds so much value within it. i can feel your pain bro, but i like how you turned it into something so beautiful. the guitar melody is just so beautiful i love it to pieces, it breaks my heart and sews it back together while just blowing my mind.
i like how the track has kind of a "stand still" moment but keeps moving on.
.
its like watching a sad memory on replay, over and over, and the more it hurts the more you grow fond of it. this track is just a great piece all together, i've never heard a dubstep song at a slow pace before but it's amazing, it gave me chills to the bone and i cant stop listening to it.
.
outstanding job, truly a piece of art. i know the last track i reviewed was in the making, but if you could do something with it like you did with this... it would be another great track to marvel over.
.
great job, like i said, loved it to pieces
The think you just wrote is completely how i endure pain. I try to turn it into something else. Tracks, poems, my book, whatever. Based on your comment, that time it was successful to put all of it into this one.
Thank you for reviewing, I'ma follow your steps here on Looperman.com :)
reminds me alot of Hollywood Undead, not normally my type of music, but i dig it! lots of work went into this and i can tell. i like the beat, its pretty grooving and the vox aren't too bad either. i can guess and say they have been altered a bit but its not totally obnoxious like most songs. the track sounds pretty good as is, of course i feel like there is something missing from it, but i cant be entirely sure. i think it might be the melody in the music, it has alot of rhythms but i couldn't hear a defined melody aside from the vox. maybe its something to think about.
.
also try to be really creative, do something weird with it, make it stand out, for example in linkin park's "given up" they used car keys as a percussion instrument in the intro.
.
im not saying that you should do something just like it, but try to find simple ways that make your track stand out from on the rest.
-- much respect, fayz
Thanks for the review! Finally someone who doesn't just leave a "Congrats man, really nice work!", but tells me, what's missing, and how to fix it! I really appreciate it! I know there is still a lot to learn, and -for a long time now- you're the first to actually teach me something. TBH this was my first attempt in this genre. As far as I can tell, you listen mostly to metal, but are open for other genres too. Check out my other tracks, if you want and have time.
Please contact me via e-mail. You seem to be rather talkative, unlike most of the artists here.
the great dnb dilemna- cram lots into a song but make it all flow.i made a few tracks like this years ago(not this good though!)sounds great in separate parts but as a dance music track gets a bit overwhelming-or under-driven.maybe on an album you could use the intro as a build up track, but the dj-style part should be a seperate song-cropped-and beginning at 1min 30secs.i can hear the amount of work in the track its really awesome....* too much going on-simply means too many different genres trying to meld together.also at 4mins 30 the track sounds like it should be a new drop/song and its all good stuff, but id rather hear you elaborate and progress on one sound rather than jumping between emotions too often.i know i rave on a lot- but remember that in one dance track you should base it around one hook/one feeling/one dynamic.dont stop-youve got style.
Thanks for the comment. In the past year, I've been trying to create something new. I'm actually making a slow progress, but it's still not much though. I'm not planning on stopping, but still - it's a lot easier to make a track with acapellas in it (because the lyrics contain the feelings, I only have to strengthen them), but even here, I can not find the things I'm looking for. I would appreciate some help. - The plan of making this track was to combine the hype of the Drum and Bass, and the lifted feeling of Trance.
