Weird...no comments!? Punk really is pretty dead now isn't it... Well, I like it a lot! Found this by searching for "atonal", and I'm glad I did...last resort after finding no tracks listed under "microtonal." Just what I needed to hear for inspiration, so thank you! I'm going to play this on loopradio.net tomorrow. Faved for sure! Thanks for the DL!
good to see some ambient noise as they used to call it on mp3.com many years ago
not everyones cup of tea(yes plz to that lol) but hey yeah
thanks for bringing ambient to its grass roots so to speak
many thanks

Oh yeah, this is great stuff,Tim. Actually, this could´ve been on David Bowie´s "Low" album easily. Go on Youtube and find David Bowie " Speed of life",that studio version that is on Low album. You captured that same feel in this jam of yours,Tim. Pretty awesome, young man :)
Keep on experimenting and recording whatever comes to mind.Your music is developing quite nicely :)
Hhehe,no problem,Tim :) Thanks for offering something different like Monthy Python gang would put it :D
Oh yes,Andy has the best texture on Ghost for sure. That is his best moment from that angle. All those filtered chords with those added 5th notes etc...makes for some dark soundscapes but thats why we love that album ;)
Hey,that guitar synth is a great tool for you.You can get pretty big sounds out of one guitar. Is it one of those that models other guitars or is it a real synth guitar that literally makes up new sounds?
Oh yeah,i was looking at your influences etc. How old are you, buddy? I´m 38 now. I guess you are little younger than me,perhaps?
Anyways,do lots of music, experiment and you will find your own way in music :)
i had forgotten that i'd re-used this backing track,
i must admit i only bought the guitar synth because of Andy its a great tool, i love those textures on Ghost in the machine, brimstone & Treacle, I advanced masked
lol.. I was just to point out the channeling-"issue" when i read the description.
A very interesting piece that would suit as a backtrack into something even more weird. Let me know if you have this piece without the drums and if you would let me "borrow" it?
you're welcome yo use it, i'd be honoured,
i'll try and strip out the crappy drum machine, if i can do it i'll re-post
i definitely have the feedback track on its own will post that tommorow
Oh yes,i understand exactly the feel you were after with this song! It´s nice to see someone still totally carried away with experimenting. That´s how many music styles like dub came to life.
Just put the drums little louder and compress them hard to get that suction in them and throw in some delays on individual snare hits etc. ;)
But i totally know where you´re coming from with this. For the feel and idea alone ,i give 10 out of 10 :)
Thanks for the kind words,
i totally agree about the mix, i started to have 2nd thoughts after i posted, may re-do it at some point
have a great weekend
This is some dark dub you got going here, have you ever heard of Ice? One of Justin Broadricks side projects, his main ones being Godflesh and Jesu. Erie stuff man.
Okay, so quick question. Was it meant to sound as dirty as it is? I could barely hear anything past the squealing phaser, and even at that the guitars were pretty muddy and I couldn't really hear them either.
However, if that's what you were going for, you did a..great job? :P
thanks for checking out my track,
its great to hear from you
yeah i kinda wanted a evil noise blotting out all the detail
the rhythm guitar is heavy compared top my usual stuff and i didn't want to tip over into metal so its hidden away a bit.
it still has an unintentional whiff of cleansing-era Prong imo with that almost disco drum pattern
i'm going to dial back the electric mistress in future as i don't want to fall into the trap Mick Jones (Clash) did in 81 where he used it in totally inappropriate songs. but for this purpose it had to be horrible and monotonous
i can't get it together to structure proper songs so i'm kinda hoping that someone looking for samples will find the odd second or 2 of interest
thanks again for getting in touch
i'll check out your stuff when i get my speakers fixed
Nice guitar part! I'm wondering as well how you played two instruments at once! The drums could use a little work, as they're very repetitive. All in all an enjoyable song!
Pretty cool track, how on earth did you play 2 instruments at the same time!? lol. Has quite a nice, chilled out feel about it but it sounds a little quiet apart from the drums.
belated reply because i didn't realise i could reply to these until recently!
re: playing 2 instruments, its do-able if you replace your lower Guitar strings with some bass strings, i can managed as big as 0.075 tuned as low as a Bass "A" on a standard 25.5" scale guitar neck.

Now the drums are much better than earlier. This has now some real Police feel to it.
You know buddy, you could easily make a "real song" with this if you put some sparse vocals or some sparse melody to this......if you want to.
But i like this anyways,no matter what :)Plywood builder 1 was a gem and this is too.
Cheers from your fellow Andy Summers fan ;)
