well-tempered and finely organized improv - this is totally your own but makes me think of Bob Ostertag meets Vladimir Ussachevsky.
1000 thanks and favs
I'm definitely digging the abstract nature of this. This is like a mix of Cinematic, Abstract, & Noise all rolled into one. Would be great to go behind a digital art exhibit, ya know? Interesting stuff mate. Lates!
Coming from part one of this I was interested to hear how this progressed. Pretty same vibe going on, though I'm digging how this has an almost Sci-fi feel to it. The only thing I could think to suggest for this is to add some more light percs. Also think that maybe having some inaudible vocals of people speaking somewhere in it would add tremendous dynamic to the piece (think of what Robert Miles did on his album Organik, the song Separation, if I remember right). Otherwise, this is a pretty cool journey into sonic workings. Lates!
In fact, these two pieces (Introspection 1 & 2) were part of an electronic art music exhibition at Universidad de los Andes. It was part of the final project for one of my composition classes in college. I made them that way and then focused on other works at the time, that´s why it sounds kinda raw at some points.
Thanks for the review mate!!
it is rare and very rewarding to hear electronic music composed and actualized with a playful sense of the full history of the music - fav applies to all 23jan2011 uploads. in jazz circles this might be called 'playing in the tradition' - i thing i admire - much much respect for your music
Yeah purely abstract, nice glitching. Computer conversations? I like to imagine that. Really like the idea of the magnifying glass, helps you to better understand the construction of the sounds. Unique stuff, good work.
Unless I''m missing something doesn't seem there's a melody and the drums are sparse and scattered. The padd is a little distorted and the drums feel is lacking something. Sorryu man I try to say the truth without offending, but sometimes it's hard not to. I'm just saying what I'd do that's all.
I didn't hear much bass... at all? Was that the purpose?
The feel was nice, no doubt, as you said a chiller track, but production is lacking a little.
Hope this helped,
Steve
Well, I respect your opinion, and all you can listen to here is pretty much what I had in mind for the track. You´re right about the production, it is still not finished.
Thanks for listening adn reviewing, always appreciated!
