Nice track! sounds really sharp and refined, everything compliments each other. like the piano and the guitar a lot, really good stuff! felt like you could have taken this a lot farther than you did, as it seemed a bit conservative, but nonetheless it was a solid track
Thank you Acidizer,Your right about it being conservative...it was a little intentional. There are more songs in the works and I think they may push a little farther so we held back some to keep a simple vibe noing this would not be the only tune in the same piano guitar style so I appreciate that you heard that and it was a call based on what is going to come...kinda like a prelude...plus I'm running low on guitar licks...lol
Thanks again for the input!
Beautiful track, the mix is spot on i love the guitar licks and the bassline is infectious the drums are nice and compliment the music just fine, this reminds me of Paul Hardcastle and Stanley Clarkes early stuff.
Thank you sir!Spelljammer really has it all ready for me by the time I do the guitar parts so we share the production,I am fortunate to work with this guy and wow to be mentioned in a review with Paul and Stanley makes my day!
Thanks again.
Thank you for those kind words!
I do love to play guitar and comments like yours are greatly appreciated...to do what you love and share that is what matters to me.
Thank you Screenplay! The live thing was fun to do...I find it get's harder to change up the acoustics by themselves so I gotta think of something different...Maybe acoustic trance or deep house unplugged...hmm..:)
Wonderful. I went down the road, going towards the border to a thousand miles away. Blue southern sky. Southern sky I will never forget.
Wonderful composition.
Thanks Vicen,I love your description and I do see these things when it comes to acoustic guitar songs, they become a story all by themselves for me and I try to picture what is felt when I name the song.I felt as the tempo increased I was getting closer to home, which I started with the previous acoustic track The Road Home.
Thank you for reviewing and listening.
Thank you again Chris.I'm trying to mix it up a bit and try different styles. With the electric guitar you can turn a knob but with the acoustic it's another story,as you know and by the way...you play very well yourself...and I am gonna review your songs:)
Hey man i really like the chords you use in this. It sounds like you should reallly really reallly add vocals too it! Very sweet mellow guitar playing :) Faved!
Hey Chris! This is a special song for me and I'm so glad you enjoyed it.
I think a vocal would be good...I started looking for my project files so I could remove the lead just in case someone wanted to sing and of course they're gone lol..but I could record the parts with leads again if I had to if they got in the way.
Thanks for the nice complement.
This is one gorgeous acoustic track I just had to download it !! A great sound and song, my gut reaction is that you played this one on the emotional level, hence the title, and as you get nearer to home this comes across in the music. All I want to add is ; how did you get such a pure acoustic sound? If poss I would like to know what guitar/microphone and recording process pls. Thanks for posting this gem of a tune.
Thank you Daniel.I would like to say that I worked very hard for days to create the guitar sound but the truth is I didn't.I used the Tascam DP-008 digital 8tr pocket studio,it has two small built in mics but they do a great job,I sat on my couch and placed the recorder on the arm of it,turned the lights down and played. It really has quality for a 8r under 300$,it runs on 4AA also...which is nice and portable,it is very small.
You are the first person to mention the title...I plan on doing a series of acoustic songs to document this journey as it unfolds, those songs have to definitly be inspired.
Thanks again Daniel and check out that recorder on youtube..I should do a commercial for them as much as I talk about their product...lol.
Sure, put up another track and don't tell me ;-) Love everything from the intro on, didn't care for the end too much though, because that meant the song was over ;-)
Seriously, the guitar kicked major gluteus maximus, love that hill billy feel. Everything was great. Production, top notch.
Well look who's up late...or is it early?
Thanks so much John,I'm trying to get through the genres I actually know first before I move on...or maybe i'm gettin' lazy cause I can barely make my own songs by myself but I got this push record and play thing down, and I got built in mics on my 8tr so i'm good to go!
Seriously,Thanks for having a listen John.
Another amazing piece from you, hey man if oyu had not said anything about it not being live, I would have thought it was live, matey you are so brilliant on the guitar, extremely gifted muso man, love all your works and this one is right up there for sure, take it is you on the vocals?? they sound good mate...Fav'd...Peace and Respect dude...Estefano...
Thank you Estefano.
I didn't go into it with the live idea but after I recorded the guitar parts together..four of them,it just felt that way and I was trying to find a way to keep it from being just another all guitar song, there's only so many ways to change it up...at least for me.I did turn to theHumps for advice on my idea so if it didn't work I was just gonna blame him lol.
Yea,that's me talking...my family thought I lost my mind cause nobody was there...I thought they were gonna cart old dad away!but my son said it would be cool if someone did a whole album, with crowd interaction and all,for fun of course.
Thanks for the listen.
Allen
Geez man, can you ever play. The track really gets moving. I'd love to watch that live. My fingers hurt just listening. The live feel was a nice touch. Great job.
Gord
Hey Gord..I'd love to see it too lol!
It was fun and my fingers did hurt cause i play electric all the time and don't have the calluses for the acoustic...but they're gettin there.
Thanks for listening and reviewing it.
Allen
Fanstatic, you are amazing Allen! I'm so glad you went for it and added the extras. Great southern feel to this track, a bit of Allman Bros in there. Very cool track, could listen to this kind of music for hours on end. instant fav!!
Thank you my friend,I keep thinkin' i'm gonna run outa acoustic ideas and this one was quite different but very fun to play.
I hope to have another Transatlantic Experience soon!
Allen
Sheez man Al, what can I say bro, fabulous! Has a very cool John Butler Trio sound. You've shown your versatility and artistry as a musician right here cous. Love it to bits man!
excellent guitar work my friend, absolutely amazing. There is not a doubt in my mind that you are exremely talented. The sound is very clean, overall very well produced. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!I wasn't sure about an all acoustic song on this site and am glad it worked out and pleased you like it.I would like to eventually make some guitar loops to share, both acoustic and electric...since shareing is why i'm here!
Thanks again.
Allen
Thank you IWE.Your comments always mean a lot from your guitar perspective. You know the live thing was a complete after thought..I had recorded two acoustic songs and this sounded like those live recordings where they all sit around and jam... with all the string and pick noise,so rather than keep fighting against that I decided to dive in and expand on it...not as a joke but to try to bring that intmate feeling of being there.
Thanks so much for the review.
Allen
Hey Allen, glad to see you kept your accoustic dusted off!Great tune man!It was awesome the way you just kept picking uo the pace. You definitely captured that small venue feel!
Tacatta!!Man,I just heard some vocals you gotta hear, made the hair stand up on my neck..Wait,it was you!I'm glad you liked the song...something different.Even though I love it,I was having a little rnb jet lag so I took a little break.
Thanks for the comment Jim.

We don't get enough of this kinda club music - talk about brains on fire!!! - i love how how even all those fingers can't keep up with what yr throwing down - you're the fifth head - much applause from the peanut gallery
Just awesome Allen. It really did sound like a live performance. Killa guitar playin man. This has a folksy bluegrass feel to it. I love it man. Reminds me of my Hippie festival jam band dayz. Keep up the good tunes man :) Hey you should contact me and catch a jam session with my stepson he is really good. Any luck on finding some work? Blume:)
Hey Blume!I went on a third interview today for the same company so hopefuly I have a job, thanks for asking!I will contact you cause we may know some of the same people also. Thanks for listening and am glad the tune worked ok...it's not my norm:)

Mate what a sweet piece. loving the vocals, agree with Nick very radio friendly for sure, nice beat, man you are good at the collabs for sure, clarity is very good, then it is topped off with your brilliance on the guitar, making it even more complete, stunning, insatnt fav man...Peace...Estefano...
Hello Estefano,
This site is like a field of talent just waiting to be harvested.I've found a lot of people wanting a vocal and while they are waiting...might as well have a nice instrumental, and why not...I get to play and now there's hopefully a better track that might just get that vocal they wanted to begin with.
When we share our music,we all win!
Thank you for the nice complement.
Mate talking of talent, dude you have heaps and heaps, matey have heard a few collabs you have been doing, Allen you are brilliant on the guitars as in this track also, everything where it should be, an absolute pleasure to the ear, I agree with Elaine, has that summers day feeling to it, boy wish it was summer here, not bloody winter as it is now, massive piece, extremely good collab my friend...fav'd...Peace and respect Allen...Estefano...
Thank you again Estefano.
I appreciate your wonderful complement but have to say that I really strive to be an addition to these already great songs and give them only what they need in the way of my guitar.I heard the beauty of the song before I even played on it so you can imagine what it was like recording...I did not sleep and it was a joy.
If you could visit me in Florida you would thaw out in a hurry Estefano,98 dgrs!
Hey Alen!I love this kind of music...I love it all!
