on Call Me Happy by rei4real
Haha i agree with skyrider that this could be on a commercial or something of the like. I can just picture a bunch of teens in the fifty's doing some sort of gum commercial bopping their heads back and forth with an overworked smile on their face xD

This is definitely not a song to listen to if you wanna be ticked off, 'cause the first note makes you wanna grin. Great job on the happy vibe :3

I picture this song being played at an outdoor festival, with familys sitting on rugs, drinking pop and having a goodtime.

This is going to put a smile on many faces...Such a bright positive tone coming out of that guitar of yours!...This really is flawless..absolutely no dead spots!....I think a lot of people are scared to write "Pop" because they confuse it with "Commercial" sound...writing a good Pop tune is hard work and like all forms of music,it has it's own criteria....It's appeal goes way beyond just being 'popular'.....there's an inner happy optimism in good Pop music and this track is filled with it....Great work Rei!..cheers mate :)

this track is dark.. it keeps coming at you. When the guitars come in it takes the track to a new level. I like that. As usual the production and the mix are perfect. I love tracks that mix heavy guitar and an electro sound. so .... i love it. Excellent... mik

Love the percussion and how it power snaps with your guitar. Jam jam jam, this one rocks just like your others. I always love the power you get in your tracks. The Rei distortion shining through. I think it sounds perfect, I couldn't find any flaws and I was trying to hear them as I listened. powersmooth rocker! Thumbs way up and head bobbin'. I like the quick end out too, gives it that "damn that rocked" feel as it just ends with attitude. Excellent track man. peace.

My long hair is flooowing and I am clinking beers with Bubba...
We went out to the bowling alley and met up some friends.
I met this pretty thing and jumped in...
it was a good time, everything was fine.
you know this pretty bombshell is the gonna be the end of me, but in the bed of the truck bed the beat is just bouncing all night long.

The claps and the progression rocked!
All you need is an organ solo and a gospel choir!
you rock dude.

HONESTLY, FLAWS make the track, it is like when kurt cobain started crying on in utero, or how led zeppelin fucked up during IV.... but I am a indie/metal head. Just my opinion.

Being an old rocker you had me from even before you thought of playing this tune!.....great!..great infectious rockin' groove..you can't fail when you crank this one up.....forget everything you ever heard!...turn it up and get into it!..it's that simple!.....Rei..I'd like to see Ronny Woods get the sack...have you take his spot...within six months I guarantee you'd have reinvented..(Rei-nvented!)the 'Stones' and gone on to get them another chart topper!........I'm not kidding! cheers mate....planet :)

Ah!...only a second into the first bar and I know this is going to have that signature 'Rei' sound..the one we all hang out for!..it's a combination of things,a mean guitar central riff, lead guitar transients, incredible syncopated rhythms, warm keyboard overtures, and poignant percussive inserts...but what really nails it for me is the way all these elements are combined seamlessly into an advancing musical progression that only Rei can create and is his trademark.......most people look their whole lives for a sound they can call their own...you've obviously had it for years....cheers mate! planet:)

I loved all of this song. The intro is awesome as is when your masterful guitar enters and the song moves forward and up a gear. Production is first class, as always...

i love the intro, ... in some ways.. it feels like... F**K you.. You know? "Know yourself"

"Saying "Know thyself" may refer by extension to the ideal of understanding human behavior, morals, and thought, because ultimately to understand oneself is to understand other humans as well. However, the ancient Greek philosophers thought that no man can ever comprehend the human spirit and thought thoroughly, so it would have been almost inconceivable to know oneself fully. Therefore, the saying may refer to a less ambitious ideal, such as knowing one's own habits, morals, temperament, ability to control anger, and other aspects of human behavior that we struggle with on a daily basis."

I think you must be a really really cool dude in real life.
It's proven you are a kick A$$ mod, and musician.

Hi there Rei,
I am up Sunday morning and wanted to check out a few tracks, and saw this one here of yours from Sept.

I'd say 1st class all the way! Everything is good about it. Everything fits well. Everything is clear and clean, and your guitar playing is super as usual.

Ever heard a electric violin play with distortion turned on?
Maybe not, but it sounds awesome!!
After my country song is done, I will make a rock tune with that in it.

Anyways, good to hear you with this song. Always a pleasure listening to your music.
Randy
