Very nice guitar sound. I like that particular sound for rock. The vocals were done very well too. Good vocalist and words.
I think another harmony vocal(s) singing along in the chorus would have been really nice and made a great addition. Altho I do realize a person is lucky to have even one good vocalist.
Perhaps a unit or a software pgm. that does vocal harmony's would work ....might be fun to try and see what happens.
Anyways, just rambling here, the song does sound very good as is.
Hi Randall. This track was made for a four track challenge, there is actually a full blown version with backing vocals on Transatlanticexp page here at looperman, the only thing to be completed is Allen's rockin' lead guitar. Thanks you for the kind words and feedback.
Brian, glad to hear from you and I'm really glad you liked this song. And with a nice reggaebeat like this one, who needs weed?
Thanks again for the kind words.
Cheers

Great tones, love the crunch on the guitar. Really like some of those lyrics. I really liked the opening, you know really early on where the tune is going. I do think the bass could use a little more definition. It could be my head phones but it sounds a little washy? Great track.
"lets rock this joint till the dream comes true" - nice
Thanks for the kind words. The washiness can be the result of several things – the track is mixed with new headphones but I guess that the true reason is that I play the fretless bass with my fingers and frankly I'm a better on my guitar than on the bass. :D

This track came together when I heard the moving story about matthew, a kid that unfortunately became an angel in the ground after a fire. Eshars poem and Jim's vocals made it one of my favourites.

In the vocabulary of jar-jar binks: misa thank you. I used to have a poprockreggae band in the eighties and I wrote all the music to the band. And even if I am totally into the rock style of the seventies that reggae keeps on poping up. :D

Thanks for the kind words Sergej. There's another version of this song on the TransatlanticExp page here at looper. If you liked this beginning you love that one.
Outstanding job my friend. Great rock with outstanding guitar work and there is nothing better than Wayne on vocals :) A little bit like an upbeat Dylan tune.
Well done!!!

EDIT:
My bad PMK. You did an amazing job on the vocals....Wayne sucks, hahahahaha, just kidding. Seriously though, great job on the vox as well. Bear
Thank you, I'm glad you like it and I appreciate the nice words. The voice is mine though. I tried to delete the old track and reviews but that wasn't possible, oddly enough, and I couldn't delete the old reviews either. So this is actually a solo work, but I thank you for the kind words.

Thank you for checking out my music, and I'm glad you like it. The song is one of some 23 collaborations I've made together with Jim Byrd – Tacatta @ looper.

Gibson Flying V and an Orange amp, a kick a$$ sound for sure! The track sounds great, evenly mixed. Not bad for just making up the lyrics! Cool track PMK!
Thank you, Wayne! Long time no hear and your review makes me really happy, and the fav too! And yeah, that guitar has so much phat, chunky rock in it and that amp just blows me away.
Again, thanks.

Kikajon,
I am enjoying your work very much.
I find your expressions to have a very comfortable spirit.
The depth and feel of this and other works you have posted sparks my imagination.
Your creative process is intriguing to me. I have recently delved into Logic 9, but only briefly touched on Garageband. After listening to the results you are getting, I am inspired to go back and invest the time and effort necessary to become proficient in Garageband.
Quality work here.
Well done.

Thank you very much for listening and reviewing with such nice words, i'm flattered. About garageband, it allows me to focus on the music. And once you start to work with it, you'll probably be a bit surprised, garageband has almost all editing possibilities you need. I also use audition for mastering to get a sparkier sound.
