As a Taurus, I find this track completely offensive!! And you better watch out, I'll gore you with my horns!! haha, just kidding, Wayne. I am glad that after my long absence I can come here and listen to new tracks from you. Hopefully I will stick around this time. As for this track: you have a serious talent for arrangement. You really know what works together and what doesn't. Keep it up!

You are personally invited anytime to listen to my music. I hope you stay healthy enough to be here a long time, just stay off those scooters!!;)

horns, ok, I'll leave that one alone...haha.

Thanks so much, you are great, look at all the reviews you just gave me. Thanks for the nice words.

Talk to ya later,

Wayne

This reminds me of my youth in Wyoming, when it was legal to drink at the ripe old age of 18, and some of the nights I spent in the Silver Spur Bar. Man, what a nasty place that was, but the beer was cold and cheap, and that was all that counted.

The place was full of cowboys all the time, smoking Pall Malls, reeking of horses. Deep lines etched in their faces as they stared into their drinks. These were real tough guys that would just as soon kick your you know what as look at you, hahaha. I miss those times.

Thanks for bringing back my youth, if only for 2 minutes and 53 seconds. A masterful job.

I love when music takes you back to a certain period in your life, certain songs do that for me too. I can't hear Jose Feliciano's version of Light My Fire without it bringing me back to a child of about 4 y.o., sitting in the backseat of the car waiting to pick up my Dad from work.funny.

Thanks for stopping by,

Great composition! I can feel the western/mexican fevers for sure! Really well built up, between the tension and suspense while the torero and the bull are fixating each other, considering their next move, and the confrontation itself when the beast is charging...
Great track!

Wonderful composition, Wayne. El Torero about to enter the ring. Just before his ghosts and after praying to the Virgin de la Macarena. In the square, waiting for a morlaco of 500 kilos of Valdeamor livestock. Great ...

Hey Wayne..man this is so south of the border it tastes of salt and lemon!it might be worth pointing out before I go any further that "The Western" demographic is hard wired into my brain, has been since I was a kid.....love the whole motif running through this,it's traditional Sergio Leone in some aspects but also has a contemporary darker crossover hovering around the periphery..Thanx's harp fits in very well and the guitar is straight from the cantina!great bass as well!.....I also like the space within the piece, lending the listener ample scope to experience the whole soundscape..great work.Love it!..cheers Dave :)

I know what you mean, I'v always love the music in western movies, especially in Sergio Leone's. Appreciate the loops, they were fantastic and really are a big part of setting the mood and impact when they kick in so thanks a heap!!

I've smell the sweat from my shirt and I feel the hot desert breeze in my face as I light up my thin cigar – let the bull come...
You are a master in making the scenes, there should be a Wayne category. Splendid, my friend.

Hemingway and Morricone having a deadly grappa-drinking contest in the heat, sneaking shots to the bull under the table. Death in the afternoon, rugged and dusty as only theHumps could deliver. They'll be looking for you, all three. Leave town now, Wayne. Don't be a hero. Take off the red sombrero at least. Ah, it's no good even trying to make sense to you.
theHumps
theHumps replied Unknown
You are something else, haha!! How did they get the bull under the table?

Death in the afternoon is also a great song by Havana 3 am, Paul Siminon's band after the Clash broke up. That is a bull fighting song too.

Thanks Michael, appreciate you stopping by!

Play 2 now...

This might be short, but I'm thinkin that it'd be the perfect lil interlude between tracks on an album. And it doesn't even have to be a music CD, because for some odd reason this is reminding me of that one lil musical skit that was on the Dennis Leary album Lock'N'Load (something about a dinner reception for deaf people, I think). Or even for other media purposes (a commercial {particularly for resorts or restaurants}, or a show's theme song, or those "We'll be right back" messages). Just some food for thought if you were thinking about doing something with this. Lates!
theHumps
theHumps replied Unknown
Thanks Donnie. It's short, it's an interlude I think. I never heard that DL skit but I'l keep my ears out for it!

I sent this to Shadowdog Productions and they liked it and told me they could use it somewhere in one of their projects, audioplay, maybe a film if I'm lucky!!

Thanks,

Wayne
