Hi Jynxz.
This days i hear some producers with new styles in a good way and you are 1 of them.
Great great sounds in it and i like that vox and spoken word.
Well done mister!!
Rob, so this entrance gives a awesome sense of motion. The break @.51 is off the chart good. That groove @1:24 is nasty THO! Then the Rhodes Trip @ 2:14. You seriously hurt me with this! Your classic trademark sound and synth work. This is deep in the FAVE ZONE! TTYL
First off, this place is awful for the genre listings available if you make real music, rock, pop, latin jazz and folk. Ok, weird works too but to me this is fusion, oh yeah fusion is available. ha!
It's good, upbeat, fun, lighthearted and interesting to listen to. The guitars are fitting, the synths are outstanding, drums are well put together too.
I have a Johnson mandolin so literally I play with my Johnson from time to time. I do have to use both hands tho so I'm sorta proud of that. But I get where you're coming from, he!
I don't know what half of them are either (genres)! I'd call this one wild but tight. Or something. Great track, you lifted me up and brought me down to for a safe landing. Shame about that...could have kept going up.
I have nothing against the guys that
know the qualifications for all the Genres.
I'm just barely hanging on keeping up with all
the toys you can use in a DAW. I'm just having a
blast making music and listening to all the ideas
and creativity you guys are posting here on LM.
I think you were baiting all of us with your master guitar and synth playing ;-). This sounds like a fun jam that you did. I used to do stuff like that back in the day for practice and sometimes those jams could turn into songs. Whether you were manually overriding the sounds or Lone rangering the drum parts. I mean playing all those instruments you were literally playing five on one and taking the self guided tour. All you needed was a singing soprano you old downstairs DJ. ;-)
You're right, this is kind of a Jam session with Myself.
I think every now and then we should just "let er rip".
for instance I would have enjoyed a whole track of the Guitar
that you did on your last track but... You sprinkled teasers
of the Guitar throughout the track (Cool & tasteful). I wondered how some of your Guitar takes that didn't appear on the track sounded, awesome I'm sure.
Thanks for giving my track a listen and for your continued encouraging comments.
I know that tags(Genres) are important for organizing music
but, I don't think I've ever written a track with Genre on my mind. I guess my rule is "there is no rule" lol.
I really appreciate you stopping by to give my track a listen,
and for your encouraging comments.
space jazz Rob, i was laughing at your description. most would have changed it, glad you didnt just punch through, just like this piece the intro is red hot smooth mr ice cool. drums solid and the synths fire love the vocals too great mix, ghosthach OH YEAH in there bro :))
Ian said "Cosmic Jazz" oldgoon901 said "Jazz"
and you say "Space Jazz"...
I guess the common denominator is JAZZ.
I feel a track coming using all three, thanks.
I'm terrible at names and genres, so now I got three.
Thanks for giving my track a listen and for your continued
encouragement.
Thanks for dropping by and giving my track a listen.
I think I have to do some reverse engineering, usually
my tracks are too soft, this one is too loud. I guess I'll
figure out LM's volume algorhythm at some point. I'm pretty sure I'm set to -14 LUF's...
I'm really feelin the Fave, thanks for your encouragement.
Rob, so the entrance timing brought on some type of wooziness as l listened. Did you pore olive oil over the drum mix? Huh? To smooth! Synths are the bosses here. I love this. And………….. FafafafaFaved !
combustible sprit-music, man! you sound good playing on the dirty side, here — it’s a nice revelation to hear ‘hancock’ without the bright finish that characterizes his electronic stuff. the bruised knucks are just massive on that bass right outta the gate, and the funk flows well with the jazz. crazy good stuff!!
You know when I get a shoutout from you I check
your comments word for word trying to figure out
what I did that "moved the crowd". Your encouraging
comments keep me hacking away until I reach higher ground.
Thanks for your listen, comments and Fave.
hey Robbie this is class, real funky bro. Herbie Hancock is great, i also recognised the female vocal samples you used I've got them too ghosthack really well mixed great sounding production Jynxz
Love good jazz muso's and Herbie is right up there and this is great too - so cool, so nicely played, shimmering with sophistication, nice sound production too : )
I'm glad you enjoyed this track.
Ordinarily I would have obsessed
over this track for weeks trying to
get everything "just right" but this
one kinda just came to me and since I've
played it over and over in my head for the
past (50 years!)I spent more time deciding which
of the hundreds of VST instruments to use, than I
spent putting it together. It was kinda refreshing
to start and finish a track in one day.
Thanks for stopping by and giving it a listen and
especially for the encouragement with the Fave.
Rob! You did this classic big time justice. That bass line never gets old. The synth tho! The bass! What’s up with that drum business @ round bout 1:40? Nice breakdown too. Ok faved!
What's up Mark,
You know that sooner or later I was
going to have to give my boy his props.
This was a one and done. I'm glad you liked
my Drum embellishment @ 1:40. I was trying to
stat as minimalist as possible on this track. I
was so grateful that it seemed to work without me
having to go through all the rituals I usually use
that take weeks or sometimes longer.
Thank you for your listen, Fave and continuing encouragement
along our musical journey.
I have this Herbie album, Headhunters isn't it? Crazy album it is! He also plays keys on one of my favorite miles Davis albums In a Silent Way. Your version is pretty different, much smoother but still got that funk. Very cool in fact.
Yes... The album with the computerhead Keyboard player on it.
The Headhunters were the musical group behind Herbie Handcock.
They specialized in African and other exotic Percussion instruments. At the Herbie Handcock concert I attended they did about a 5 or 10 min solo of just Percussion instruments. It was amazing.
I'm glad you didn't find my rendition of the track offensive, after running that track through my my head for 50+yrs I've got at least 10 or 20 versions of it in there but, this is the one that came out.
I appreciate you giving the track a listen and for your encouragement with the Fave.
This is from back when I played all the instruments.
I didn't have nearly as many samples as I do now. I did
enjoy it though. I guess that's the point of it all, fun
times.
Thanks for your listen and encouraging comments as always.
Hey dude! as usual...Very Pro!excellent drum part! maybe (on my listening) review the sound of the bass, I think I hear "slap" at the end, I can't really "find out" the bass part in the whole piece! maybe also my ears! !!!!!
good job guy!
Hey Man! Been away from LM for a while but had to stop and check in to see if you had anything new! And not only is the answer to that yes, it's a collab between two of the most outstanding people on this site! F*ck yeah!
You two meld so well together! Not to mention I was picturing a night cityscape full of neon lights even before I read your description of the song, so you definitely hit the nail on the head with this one. As usual your synth lead was pitch perfect but I think my favorite part was around 2:23 when Mark is going nuts on kick and you just kept the e-piano, bass and pads going underneath it. It's almost like the car is stopping and spinning around for minute before continuing on its way. Awesome effect!
Mark is the reason I started playing from back when we were in high school. He was already an accomplished Drummer in the Concert Band as well as a Band him and a couple of friends put together.
I always enjoy doing tracks with him.
Were it not for DAW's and platforms like LM we probably wouldn't have done any more music together. We've been trying very hard for the last couple of years to get the bass player up to speed with the latest technology, sadly our lead singer passed away a few years ago.
Thank you for stopping by and giving our track a listen and for the encouraging comments.

Herbie Hancock is one of my all time favorites.
I think he has brought a lot to the music scene
in respect to Keyboards.
You can probably find at least a sample or two of
the "Ghosthack Vocals" on all of my tracks. I call them
