Hello crucethus,

I think I label anything that I can't put into a
specific genre, Weird. I was thinking this might be
considered "Progressive R&B" but I didn't want to take
a chance on offending anyone who might be hardcore R&B.

Very Nice - lots of influences in there but it all works so not really that weird more wonderful

I guess all the Zappa I listened to in the 70's
is coming back to haunt me.

Funky-unk-unk-Funky! I love what you did with the synth. Production quality is nearly top-notch. My only wish is the bass being brought forward a bit. Other than that, well done, you!

Hello Mykael,

I'm glad you liked this track.
When Micky Mastered the track I
had the level for the Synth to high.
Micky told me but, I was ready to move
on to a new project. In retrospect I wish
I had spent the time it would have taken me
to send him the stems instead of the rendered
track. I felt he had made the track sound great
as is.

Believe it or not I've been walking around with the "Rhodes" part of this track for a long time waiting, for the right track to put it in. Yeah, I do just play the Synth part according to the key, rhythm and feel of the energy in the track on the spot.

WOW!!!! I love, love, love, love cerebral jazz; you captured it flawlessly in this blend. It takes you on a trip without being too trippy, if you know what I mean. I can imagine watching this being played live at a jazz venue, absolutely. Well done, my friend.

Hello Mykael,

I was surprised to see a comment on this track.
Mark the Drummer and I were just getting into the
whole DAW game. Needless to say our minds were totally
blown when we started exploring all the possibilities, I
still haven't stopped being amazed at some of the stuff you can do in your bedroom with just a controller, computer and a DAW. (Sorry for writing a book it's the coffee).

Thanks, when "Micky" sent me some Bass & Drum tracks he had made with him on Bass I just had to do something with them, they were so Funky. I just had fun arranging and playing my
Keyboards with them.

I think the Synth could have been brought down a few db.
so the rest of the track could have been brought up a little more.
Micky did a great job Mastering the track without me sending him the stems. He mentioned the Synth levels but,
I was ready to move on to the next project.

I wouldn't call this pop myself but then I'm not really sure what genre. It's got slight dubby feel in places. It actually vaguely reminds of some stuff by The Orb in places actually. Good track though - favd

I would say Pop is what happens when you borrow from the "cool" (currently trap beats and EDM) after the techniques get luke-warm, palatable and relatable to the average listener (an opinion of course, and a very gray area).
I Don't think you did that here, more an interesting use of vocals with an ethereal backdrop. I've given up on classifications, but if I had to chose, I'll take SemiPsychodelicChillout any day :)

BTW, my work has slowed and I finally have time. I'm down for a jam, the funkier the better. I can put together something like Funky Giblets or you may already have something. Let me know, ttyl.

The illusive "BofD",

I thought I saw you the other day on LM.
I wasn't sure tho (I could have been trippin;).
It's great to see you back.
I recently heard some "Metal" that caught my ear (Julioooliveira & SuicideJ). I was actually working on a track that could possibly be considered "Metal Lite". Now that I see "Metal" is accepted, perhaps even encouraged. I want to go "Whole Hog" and make sh#t bleed...LOL
What do you think? Do I need therapy?
Or I'm down for a Funk track.
