I am not a big fan of jazz stuff but i really like the cool mix of different styles and ideas here. The mix itself sounds really well in my ears and the work with/on the vocals is great. So this must be a burner for all the jazz loving ones :) cause it is really something that is a bit out of the box.
Hey Joe,
I'm sorry for the delay with my response. I've been on LM for over a year and still didn't realize I had to be logged in to get the reply button.
I'm glad you liked this track. I was experimenting with vocals, since everyone seemed to be posting tracks with vocals in them. I couldn't find any vocals that I could do something with so, I had thought about doing backdrops for spoken word a while back so I gave it a shot, broadened my horizons and all that.LOL
It was interesting for me to play without being the focus.
I appreciate your listen and your comments.
The keys are just awesome! So is the track actually, he. To me the track has a a jazz and rnb feel to it with spoken word over it. Certainly it's creatively put together, not something I could ever think of, that's for sure.
Hello Wayne,
Thanks for your compliment on the keys,
I'm playing them (keys), I use my controller and Ablelton live VST's for all instruments except the druns and the spoken word. I've been trying really hard to play the sounds I hear in my head, genre is not on my radar. I'm sure someone will get all philisophical and say; No genre is a genre... LOL
Hey Jynxz,
this is just fantastic. You know that I love your stuff and like you, I would love to see it more featured. The comment function here on LM is essential for that. You can easily find some music that catches your interest and then you should comment it. You don't have to feel bad about it. Tell folks that you like their music or what you would change or maybe you can help with some hints. That's the way you can get in touch with other artists and exchange - and that's what this site is about. I see it more like a community ...
Keep up the good work,
Michael
P.S.: please excuse my bad english - I try my best!
Hello DrKlinger,
I saw your comment yesterday but, there was no "reply" button. I'm glad they fixed it.You and the LM community have made this site an excellent place for musical expression. Your comments encourage me to keep trying when I want to stop. It's so interesting to listen to the evoloution of the music of some of the LM alumni like yourself (5yrs or more). There is a huge body of musical works on LM. 5 yrs from now I hope to look back on the tracks that all the players have shared and know that I was there too.
BTW... Your english is perfect
Thanks for your listen & comment

another sheer brilliance...about one of the biggest question...what TIME means? it means different things for us...for me it meant, THAT THAT I WAS LUCKY TO HEAR THIS FANTASTIC SONG...:-)
Specially that bass and the special concept...
Hello danke,
I noticed that a lot of LMers have been using acapella's lately, so I thought I'd give it a try.
I really appreciate you giving my track a listen and the encouraging comment.
BTW... I've been giving "LoFi" a lot of thought, especially after listening to "Spring" & "Have we all lost are way"
PEACE...
Hello crucethus,
Ironically enough you're not the first to suggest "Mushroom" to me. Can you guys actually see inside my head?.LOL. I love their sound and composition style.
Thank you for your listen, comments & the Mushroom suggestion. I'm listening to "Glazed Poppem" right now!...

Hello Arloph09,
I can't wait till we can get the Bass player up to speed technically speaking. He still remembers a ton of tunes we used to play back in the 70's that are killer.
Thanks for your listen & comment.

Once it started, all I could think of was Steely Dan, brought me back a few years. Cool to hear the band got back together, sorta. Now you know you can do it, nothing is stopping you to keep the hits coming.
The ability we have now to work remotely is fantastic. I've done a bunch of collabs with people from all over the world that I've met here on looperman and some with people who speak different languages(thanks google translate).
Hello Wayne,
Perhaps one day I could get the opportunity to jam/collaborate with you. You've got a killer live sound. Your tracks sound like you're right in the room jammin.
Thanks for the listen & comment

Hello clickbaitcabaret,
I'm never going to miss the opportunity to jam with my old school friends again. Wherever they might be.
Thanks for the listen & comment.
Hello CinCoCent,
I really appreciate your listen and comment.
I just had to do something with these guys.
I missed the chance to record with the lead singer and lifelong buddy. I won't make that mistake again.
Hello Mr. Jynxz, I've been in garage bands and I get that feeling from this track. I love the rhythm/drums here. The way that this came together is very cool. Fun to listen as always ...
Cheers,
Michael
Hello DrKlinger,
I wish I could make it out to Deutschland so we could get a chance to put together some good music.
Playing in a garage band was like a rite of passage when I was coming up.
Now, these guy's can make music with people all over the world.
I imagine there will be some really interesting music coming out soon.
Thanks for listening.
Thanks for your comment Djsqueezze,
I can't take all the credit, Joe Funktastic did most of the heavy lifting. I just put in my two cents. The original just grabbed me by the balls and wouldn't let go until I got with it.
Thanks for your comment indieground, I've been listening to some of your tracks. I like your style, Strange Jazz kinda blew my mind.Keep up the good work

This is a interesting track. Although i hear more rock elements than the funk that is. Although i did notice the funk elements as well just a lil. These type of productions are called dual productions and consists of more elements than only one. So the sound is sure is interesting to say the least. So yeah i still dig it. So a solid track indeed love it. * Thumps Up *
Hello Verdiqo. I've listened to all of the tracks you have posted on Looperman. I love the energy in your style, your mixing is flawless. Thanks for commenting on my track.
Hello clickbaitcabaret, I've been listening to your tracks since I got on Looperman 9 months ago. Life Goes On is a fav of mine. Thanks for your comment on my track

Spelled Mavis's first name wrong and can't edit it.
That should read "Mavis Staples" :)
