I've seen your work and wholeheartedly agree to you putting words to it (if you can, lol) Vig's Place was the name of my show at Mixposure a few years back. And I have some artwork to go along with it if you're interested. Send me your email if you are.
Hey Vic, good to see you around! Hope you are doing well. I can see you have been working on your mixing skills, well done! It certainly has your subtle flair all over it.;)
I'm not fishing anymore. Well I'm boatless and can't go by myself. I have balance problems and the last time I went (last year) I fell out of the boat and it was all my son could do to fish me out of the water. We did catch some nice fish tho. I went down to our subdivision lake/pond a couple of mornings and managed to catch a fish both times. From the bank. All the fish in there have been caught multiple times. You'd think they'd catch on (no pun intended. . . yeah, right) vic
who let the dawgs out..yep..at a minute & a half in I`m looking for the old double-barrel,HaHa..3;38 got my attention in other directions..you are one creative guy vigwig...a most entertaining track and your descriptions are just as entertaining....keep on...Ed
Yeah, I worked kinda hard on that description, lol. Was just curious if anybody actually read those, ha ha. I a;sp wonder about the flood of listeners I get from Russia, Bosnia, India, China, Germany and I must be pretty popular in Brazil, too. Not to mention other places I can't spell or pronounce and possibly fake countries I've never heard of before. vic
Your work is always in the esoteric, but a truly heartfelt piece of prose you wrote for this one. I always admire your I don't give a crap about what others think way of creativity. you just deliver it and let those who can understand it get it.
Well done
Cru
ya I do. I am not worrying about what people think anymore, nor any less, lol. I do try to follow the flow of what people say like the comment made about reprising some loops later in the song for continuity. Except where it would make things a little long and boring. I marvel at what I have done since it takes a big mind to remember all the loops you have and what they sound like. Have I used any of yours? vic
Ha ha ha ha, that's a funny reference to those 60's movies, "That is crazy but it just might work." It works for me and I appreciate your comment. Thanks. vigwig
I'm glad your sister likes it. I aim to please. My tracks are considered funny and I find it hard to do a complete song without including an audio bomb and muddying the water. My acks that have vocals carry an intended message like a romance or the blues and what causes them.
Damn, I knew it! I had too many cowbells still hooked onto cows, cowabunga! Fishin and loopin; loopin and fishin, all I was tryin to say is "does yo momma eat Yoplait?
Thank you, Indie. Some hgy on here was saying that he worked at injecting weird aspects to his tracks. But no one can fit my music into any box and I unwittingly stir up genres and convention. I just have fun doing it. ;) vig
Thank you, your listen and review is very much appreciated. I like how you gave specific reasoning about what elements you liked, that was insightful.
vic
That's very interesting, I don't believe I've ever seen a review quite like that before. I'll have to replay the track a few times to see what you mean.
Thanks for listening to Alligator Butt, it is a trifle old, the tattle tale being the reference to Dextdee's hip hop show which has been off the air for quite s while.
vic
Man, I can't tell you how much of inspiring force you are for my, and I'm sure others! This is so pleasing, and unlike anything I hear, or have heard, made by anyone else! It seems especially personal to me, as I've been with my Love for 22 years now. Maybe some similar experiences are inspiring us? Either way, it's an amazing and original song! So good! Fave!
You don't know, you don't know how how glad I am to hear such a review from you. (with apologies to Nancy Wilson). Your response has invigorated me at just the right time. You should come to hear my show Wednedays at 7 pm on MixRadio at mixposure.com. If only I could sing, it would be even better.

This genuinely made me laugh out loud. Although I was a little upset that no pirates were shot during the making of this track, so I'm not sure if I'll be back again, as that was pretty much the only reason I wanted to listen to this song in the first place.
Apart from that, thanks for putting a smile on my face, and thanks for sharing :)
Maybe when I get around to posting my track "Pirates from Tortuga" your desire for pirates being shot will be rewarded. The comment you refer to refers to that track.
And I am so glad I satisfied my desire to make someone laugh out loud such as some have at my "I Nearly Choked on My Burrito" track. LMBehimndO. Vig
I'm so glad you liked this and felt compelled to comment. It does have a groovy set of vubes. Thank you for the listen and the comment, much appreciated.

Very original approach of Reggae/pop. Your vocals are very loose and that is good combined with all the musical shots you put in. Sometimes the shots are louder than teh music and you might lower them a bit. But definetly a fun song to listen to!
I'm not sure what shots you refer to, but I'll defer to your judgement. I'm surprised to hear the reggae hook up but I've been told it is a 6/8 beat....is that the same thing? Thanks for your listen and critique and what yo liked about the track. vic
Iam finding really interesting what some of the people on Looperman are doing at the moment.
This song particular takes me on a ride, maybe its the groove, maybe your voice.
Great use of the loops and cool arrangement (sublime fade out).
Read the review before yours. I think you're being kind and I like that in a review. People say my tunes are trippy, but I just make 'em,like I hear 'em in my head. Thanks for your review and your listen and what you liked about it. vic
I strangely quite liked this, it definitely has a hypnotic feel to it and it drew me in until the end.
Although if I had had any input on the track itself, I would have tried to mix the vocals a little quieter and with maybe a little added reverb and/or delay.
I agree man. However, I'm nearly deaf tone deaf for sure and can carry a tune in a bucket or sing worth a damn. That being said, I would have mixed the vocals differently if I could have told the difference. I can't really tll hat's too loud and what's not. And my age, I forget everything new I learn and my Parkinson's has progressed to where my slurring and monotone vocals are a shame. Thanks fr the review and the critique, I took it to heart. vic
Long time mate, interesting track but very enjoyable, great instrumental piece, vocals seem to work :) Kudos to you for attempting vocals braver then me, doubt if anyone will ever hear me sing, my singing evens scares me lol... Hope you are keeping well my friend...Peace mosaic...
Thank you. Been enjoying(?) life. I like this song myself. I seem to have found a groove and applied just enough augmentation. My voice could definitely have been better. Thanks for listening in, matey. vic
