much better than the first time that i listened to this...by what i can remember...you are very talented and i agree with Donnie on what he said about the lazy azz people on here not wanting to write reviews. i really dig this track man nice job.

WOW... I love the mix. So many elements of dance electronica etc. In my opinion blended perfectly. Love this track. I think this track could rock the dance floors here in China. Again love the track man.

DUDE thank you so much for the review - and I gotta say I've checked you out a bit, and you've definitely got that "something". And that's just your singing!! Really enjoyed it, keep it up. I did actually put together lyrics for this, and am kinda temp singing on it. Check em out let me know what yøu think if you feel it or if I'm just kinda feelin myself here!! Would really appreciate the objective review #2.
Hey so the lyrics I did put together were kinda over the head and not effective in their tranlsation of the emotion to the listener, so I am open for a new take on vocals for this - let me know if you are still interested.
im feeling this a lot, i love the organic feel my favorite. i appreciate the feedback by the way. i have nothing to say about this except fantastic work
I trip over myself all the time, like in the real world. And I do pick myself back up again. But I think when the time is right, I will remove the trippings, from the track ... wish it was as easy done as said in real life! :) lol, col. jk. :) Cheers.
Now this is what I want to hear! A frikin' song! Not some guy rapping about how cool he is or something. Great track with a wonderful voice working! Where can I get an acapella like this?
That female acapella was a true learning experience for me - I paid a singer to do it as a demo for this track and didn't quite work out, so I've learned - well you can assume what I learned. Thank you V!
This track is so cool and out of the ordinary! Religious is an interesting genre choice too. The production on this track is very professional, it sounds great. Your vocals are really cool, I've never heard anything quite like it! Very nice drum work on this track too. I wish I could make tracks that are this engaging! Very enjoyable track!
Really like this track dude, loving the way it morphs as the track progress's. The beginning Almost sounds like some lost Quincy jones groove from the moog mad late 70's early 80's.
:D Spudsy I love your music man - so I gotta say I feel I have accomplished something to get a review from you, I really appreciate it!! Love the Quincy jones feel that you mentioned, you threw me even more into love with the opening! Cheers bro.
Very interesting here. In the beginning it sounds like hip hop almost. Interesting how it build into what it does. Good job switching it up. Makes the listener keep listening. Good job.
Very experimental vibe with this. The harmony intervals on some of the vocals (fourths )are an unusual and interesting choice. Nice vocoder sound too. very different - good work.
I especially like the warbliness of this track makes me kinda woozie, but i like it, Im digging the drum loop and the drum loop stutter at the cresendo of the first build up! I appeciate the layering as the song goes on, not your average repeatitive factory loop techno i hear more than i would like while surfin through tracks on this site, I also must state I definatly like the spooky accapella, & the guitar synth that backs it up! Overall the mixing sounds pretty clean, so I have to say this is a good track all around! As a whole, Definaly like it!
Thanks so much for the detailed review - there isn't actually an acapella in this, I wonder if like a part does sound like that to you or if you got a review mixed up? Either way the first half of the review all made sense and was spot on, and I appreciate it. ThankU!!
Wow! This is so cool and fun, utter happiness! Very cool synth work on this one! Definitely a departure from your recent work! You haven't lost a thing by trying new things, you seem to have actually gained some control over your signature sound. Great work!
Thanks so much man - I appreciate your citing my signature sound, as we both have one, and you know how special it feels to have it recognized. Cheers.
For me I'm feeling that the mix is too closed in...know wot i mean. It feels like the whole track is being played in a small box. I think that may be why you feel the vox are too thick. What I would do is I would take the vox out of the mix first. Then concentrate on getting a bigger sound on the instruments. So drums, bass, pianos etc...till they have more space in there. Then I would re introduce the vox, and play with a little thinning out on the eq side first. Then a touch of reverb, just a touch tho. Then drop the volume of the vox and bring it up ever so slowly in the mix until you feel its right. Burn a cd, play it in the car....go back, adjust the mix, burn a cd, etc..Of course you'll have a guide track you use..i would say maybe a James Morrison track should give u a good idea of how it COULD sound ...Best of luck mate. It's a great song and with the right mix it'll be brilliant! Hope that helps a wee bit!!
Thank you Salkizar! Awesome advice - and I checked out James Morrison and am a devout fan now. Hadn't heard of him before. So much great advice in this review that I should thank you for each modular bit. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I would say Thank you but I don't have a car, but I used to do that all the time. THANK YOU. (Guide track). Thank you. And thank you for the review - filled with golden nuggets it was!! -Ken
Dude it's on the way - THANK YOU so much for your input regarding this track, I've got so much respect for you bro - and I love your review style, it's kinda similar to mine in that it reads like thoughts you were having as you listened to it, reads like you're speaking in real time. ---- /// UPDATED - which DAW do you use if you still can cuz that is really where i'm having the trouble.
Thanks so much for your comment, and I did try and slow it down, but it really broke the vocals up in an unpleasing manner, so I will keep workin on it!
Good track man very well put together something that I could suggest is maybe a lil reverb on the vocals to give it a full ambient sound. Play around with that maybe and see if it fills up the vocals more.
I am having crazy troubles trying to master this. it's like a marshmallow - I look at it and it puffs up with white noise. I tried the reverb thing but it just became to thick no matter how thin the reverb I added, and then it declarified the vibrato. i'm about to post to the forum for more help. Thanks for the advice - totally makes sense. i just don't think there is room for reverb without sacrificing some other element or frequency to get it.

i think what you are really getting at is keeping all the dynamic range in order...
it sounds professional and great to me..
I would prefer a ... better piano.. and bass..
but vocally, i don't see a problem..

Still...
I have to say, I don't see anything wrong with your mixing, that is really a GREAT mix...
what my thing is, is the quality of your instruments.. they sound too forced..
Can you add some velocity touch? or some reverb?
REGARDLESS!!!
