Aaah, this really brings me back. I love the jazz you've created here, and to be presented somewhat raw is very cool. I love the subtleties that tape imparts to music. Great grooves on this track, and a wonderful vibe. I must fave and download it! Thanks for sharing!
This kind of jamming is hard to stop, want to go on and on... Mellow groove, quite professional. Could be suited well as demonstrating the possibilities of a guitar synth.
Hello Lokakuun_maa, thanks for your review. I never thought of it as a Guitar synth demo but I think you are right because it does showcase a lot of different sounds. However, the sounds used are not available on the guitar synth itself since I have hooked it up to various tone generators and tend to use the sounds on these instead.
I personally think this sounds great just as it is. It sounds like a 60's recording. The reverb is perhaps a bit heavy for some tastes, but I like it. A nice piece of work.
hey this really cool track...the bass line reminds me of Metal Fatigue maybe thats the influence. Nice synth lines and guitar playing...like how when you got to the guitar it was more bluesy, then the synth is all jazz great tune..like the sax as well
The analogue recording - no corrections, edits, time stretching - have to hit the zone. I imagine with some noise filters (I believe you can do this with Audacity) you could remove all analogue traces. Cool hearing a rediscovered track of yours!
great urban jazz groove, you are what I'm not a great musician, composer arranger, you always know I to keep us interested all through the track, amazing the sound you can get out of a guitare, I remember Goldley and Creame from 10CC when in the late 70s the started experimenting with having a guitar play piano and other instrument sounds, great job again.
always a great experience to listen to a master, that you are for sure, this great arrangments structure you really take us on a journey going round and round, bravo, this is a fav for sure, kind of felt like a kid at some point in the track, beautiful.
Hi Big Pete, Thanks for your review and your kind words of encoragement on this. You seem to have picked up on the cyclical feel I was trying to convey when I wrote this - to that extent it seems I was successful then - cheers jfw.
what a refreshing track, we've been having a heatwave here and this is so chill, great performances, so tight, great arrangments, this is as good as anything judge professional out there, I can only imagine how this would sound recorded digitally today, beautiful track, everything is right there, great flashback.
A wonderful track!
Been listening to it 3 times in a row and I think I'm really getting addicted.Love this guitar and the King Crimson feel of the song.
Congratulations

This excellent acoustic guitar instrumental composition stands on its own; almost in the self-accompanying style of , I believe, 18th century classical guitarist Dionisio Aguado. Great work. The clarity of the instrument is superb.
Sweet track.very laid back and mellow.loved all the different elements you combined to bring it all together.great synth work.keep up the great work }:)-
I downloaded that organ loop, too and still haven't found a use for it. Kudos for finding "just the right thing" for it! I really like the audio surprises in this one - every time I settle into a comfort zone you go in a direction I hadn't predicted. Awesome and simultaneously rewarding as a listener. Fusion seems like a good place to put it, as it's too tight and well arranged to be "experimental." It seems you know the rules well enough (at least inherently) that you can bend and break them without stumbling. Nice.
BTW - I keep thinking I read the comic that your avatar's from. Why does it seem so familiar?
Hi Nomad, thanks for your feedback on this one I,m glad you liked it.
On the point about the avatar - I didn't have one readily to hand, so I used the cover of one of my favorite albums ( a temporary measure ) "The Court of the Crimson King - an observation by King Crimson" - Cheers.
Nice jazzy feel. I would take the horn sound down in volume just a bit to even things out, but so far this is great. Love to flutier sound, too!! You're quite good at that clear jazz ambience work man. Good job.
