oh my, one of the best jazz tracks i have heard here.
the intro and outro are kool
2 things come in mind, like it was either the kid playing the piano or an instruments and after laughed, or the music was to entertain the kid.
good one here. respect

Thanks for listening & commenting DextDee! Frejus is a place in the Cote d Azur in the south of France where for a number of years I used to holiday with my family. This is really meant to conjure up the warmth of those days and the fun my kids had!

Cheers, Jamie.

Have I heard this on Mixposure radio? If not, I'm having some kind of weird deja-vu moment behind it. Chilled (shaken but not stirred), perfect levels, arrangement, and production.

Not anything constructive to add, but got to let you know I really admire your collaborations.

Hi Sean, I've not posted this on Mixposure so I guess not! Thanks for listening & commenting. Glad to see you back on Looperman (not seen you here for some time). On a separate note regarding collaborations - I see from your profile page you posses a wide range of "Exotica" when it comes to percussive instruments - it might be good to do something together and/or with others in future? If the notion takes you, let me know!

Cheers, Jamie.

How did I miss this one!...Damn this is great!..you've got the classic purple atmosphere vibe going here, which I might add is what Jazzers strive for...I love the bass line, definitely hitting the blue notes!Elephant guitar! yeah great..there is no better sound than an off volume note pushed up,this is a very skilful ability that not all guitarists have let alone know about(using a volume pedals is cheating! must be done with the little finger lol)..it just blends so well, this is a superb composition with excellent vision..downloading straight into my mp3 player..Excellent!..cheers Dave

Thanks for the listen Dave! I do indeed have the extensible "volume swell" little finger at work on this! Glad you enjoyed it.

Hey Jamie, nice to hear a new one. Nice description, I see planet got a kick out of it too, haha!! Sweet rhythms and great mix, real even on all the levels. Like the latin beat and percussion in this. Ya, the guitar sounds nice and Dave did a great job too. Nice collab, well done!

Hahahahahahahaha..Jamie that is a very good description!lol.....this is a great mix and the levels sound great,it's interesting when I hear one of your tracks I try and put a face to the guitar parts..now I've listened to a lot of Larry Correll over the years and he plays a 335 pretty much exclusively I'm guessing (and I've drooled over your guitar quiver in your profile pics) your not dissimilar...the jazz tones could very well be this axe as well...you know I really am guessing here because you have two jazz boxes as well...I can tell single coil quack from a mile off so the Fenders are out...but you've also got a Les Paul and we all know what Dimeola can get out of that...please put me out of my misery and put a guitar face to your great tone! lol....a fantastic mix of uptempo smooth grooves that push the envelope into Jazz,Latino,Samba and R&B...you have the deft touch mate...cheers Dave :)
jfw
jfw replied Unknown
Thanks for your work on this Dave - it's great! You guessed right - I used the 335 for all the guitar parts on this - I love the warmth of the 57 classic pick-up's.

Jamie - my friend i'd call this the desert lion mix - lithe and sharp - this is a fantastic re-vision - the streamlined sound really heightens the great percussion work and makes the gtr lines shine - all my paws are up!
jfw

...and speaking of paws - is that your cat Wolfie? He looks as mean as hell - if your a mouse that is!

Jamie, I have the opportunity at times to work with great guitar players, so I recognize great talent when I hear it...this piece places you at top of my favorite guitarist list.

I love fusion, especially music that has a Pat Metheny vibe to it. This is stellar work on many different levels. Truly a wonderful listen. I have to download, and of course, faved it as well.

Thanks for sharing.
