Love your sense of melody and command of sounds and textures. I could hear this going with a seduction scene featuring a beautiful geisha girl dancing around me as I drink saki.
You have a great musical sense and I love listening to your tracks.
i like mrrobots beats, makes electro very close to your heart, i am not a fan of electro but i think this is lovely, although its all over the place but isnt that electro anyhow
It's probably my fault, but you might want to cap of the piano sequence - it kinda dives right into my ear on these headphones and poke a little pin-sized hole right through the drum if you know what I mean. Try a parametric eq and take down some of the top bands is what i would try first. maybe i should fix the loop and send it over?
cool track - the nice new sounds i hear, and familiar ones - but really diggin like the big kinda muddy warehouse moving across the channels sorta sound is awesome. loved about 1/2 thru the clapping really ties it up. the rate of the perc synth that was going through most of it kinda kept me from getting deeper into the track, if that makes sense, it kinda dominated my attention even while other cool things were going on. nice work man, be sure and let me know if you develop it further!
I really enjoy the flow of this track, the aspects of the mix really compliment eachother. I can definitely hear Califken's effect on this mix, which is cool. This isn't a style I usually hear, and it's nice to be refreshed. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the listen Spivkurl. :) You are probably the only reviewer more active than me and I always appreciate your words. I personally love this piece. It seems similiar to the new stuff by Deadmau5 and Leger (my heroes). But... I understand it's not for everyone's taste. I hope a few others "discover" it. Thanks again.
Great composure koble, i thought you did awesome on this and i say this because its not something i could see anyone singing to but a possibility for rap and for sure i could see this in a Asian subtitled movie were they kick in your track when they train hard for a fight, i loved it and keep up the great composeures! As for dj4real great loops and keep up the work to the both of you i loved it.
Thanks for the listen mate. I always appreciate any reviews, positive or negative. I hadn't thought about it but I can see it could be used for a Kung Fu training scene in a movie.
The melodies on this track really are beautiful! It's cool that you are slow to bring in the whole drum beat, it helps build up energy. This is a fun track, I find myself curious what it would sound like with different synth patches... I guess that just means that the song is inspiring. Relaxing vibe! Thanks for sharing!
first while i had listening i thought i'm listened to Atc tracks it has same glockenspiels and almost same melody , i like this melody remind me in a few great years ago , good track mate =D
Hey DjATA,
Coincidence? I was checking out your page just yesterday and was wondering if you'd left the site. I want to hear some of your new stuff. Btw, the ATC-sounding clip was one I actually downloaded from this site and didn't recognize the great similiarity until BeyondEvolution pointed it out to me. I love that tune myself.
A really interesting combination.Very original and hypnotic.Your tracks take me into a sort of trance state-I love all the suprises too-very well crafted music!
Thanks! Well my surprises sometimes confound people (and even me sometimes...lol). I'm trying to be more coherent and a little more mainstream but it's a challenge...lol (actually it wouldn't surprise you if you knew me.. haha)
nice and clean and it is... very catchy
the melodies sounds familiar but its very
common in electronic music that the short melodies like this
are very often repeated ... just difrent sound,i wouldn't
be wrried, its all about how you execute the track and this one was done just as it should be in this genre,,greetz:))peace
Thanks. :) I wasn't sure if you'd like this one. But then your loops went so well together I thought maybe you had planned it that way all along. As I've said I never know with you loop artists. I'm going to try some loops myself one of these days, just to see how the process weaves itself through my mind and what comes out of it.
In any case, keep making those great loops. We (all of us track artists) appreciate it.
Cheers.
lol! You took me right to Japan when I heard that. I like how you took all those loops and made it work. I agree with GhostPig it sounded like a video game track. I love that track....
Haha! I thought Japanese immediately when the track kicked in. It's good stuff too, sounding like some great Japanese game music, or anime themes.
I gotta admit, most Japanese stuff is too busy to wrap my head around. But this was a lot of fun.
Thanks for the listen Califken. Yes I try to assault my listener's ears. :P (that's a joke). Actually my mixing and mastering skills are much inproving on my more recent stuff and I think your comment is quite valid. By the way I've been using some of your loops in my latest stuff. Check out "Most Chilled" because I'm very proud of my first Hip-Hop kind of attempt. And for me that's a stretch cause I'm not really a Hip-Hop sort of guy at heart...lol.
Cheers :)
Play 2 now...
In a way this reminds me of classic Euro dance stuff (if only minus the vocals ED commonly likes to use).
And with what Salkizar was sayin, there's also another possibility with giving it some extra flavor without having to mess with the loops or arrangement too much. Do some knob tweekin! If ya got a controller for that sort of thing. Just load about 2 or 3 effects and while this is goin along mess with the accent, velocity, volume, etc. I could load this onto one of my SPs to show ya what I mean if you'd like. At any rate, very nice start ya got here. Thanks for sharing. Later on!
Thanks Donnie,
I think I've got to get me one of those SPs (ok what's an SP?..lol). I think I get the idea and I definitely want to do some things like that. What's a good SP to use? I assume you are loading vst effects into it? Send me an email and educate me. I definitely am interested. Thanks for the thoughtful review.
