OK, awesome stuff bro!!!! I just spent the last two hours improv recording to it . Is that ok? I plan to give you it, or upload it or whatever. I just couldn't help myself. That is what these tracks are for right? I play guitar, and alot of them, and I just layered this track with about 20 takes. LOL Most are no good, but some are way awesome. Congrats on getting me woke up before 10am!!!!
Either way, gripping, stellar track Todd. (goes to listen to more)
Cool Deal hempcat! I'm glad you found some inspiration. I'm am most curios to hear what you've done with this song. Thanks for listening and reviewing. This is great to spark inspiration in other people, even if you don't know them.
Very Boards of Canada IMO and therefore I like it. Nice sounds used that all work well in conjunction. Bass is great. A real interesting journey that on first listen could go in many directions. Great stuff.
Thanks for the review! I've heard of Boards of Canada. The really cool thing is that I've never really heard their music until your review. I like meaningful coincidences, and I think this is one of those. Thanks for the compliment of such a comparison.
Beautiful work Todd, Arctic Freeze indeed!! White noise or samples 4 e atmospheric effects, they r just brilliant. i know how tough t can b 2 tweak thoz effects 2 perfection to get that exact feeling u wanna convey
Thanks Dani! That means a lot to me. I really did a lot of slicing and dicing to this particular song. I ended up with less tracks then what I originally planned. So yeah, it took a while to get everything tweaked just right. Then I'm not sure if I'm completely satisfied with the way it sounds.
Mate this is very trip hop sounding for sure, pity there is not a genre for it as I have plenty of trip hop samples but until we get a genre I am not going to bother doing a piece, again I have noticed that your work is crystal clear with very good arrangement, really like the beat in this one my friend, working so well with the synths and fx, another fav piece for me Todd, thank you for sharing mate...Peace n Respect...Estefano....
Thanks so very much Estefano! I am always so pleased when I receive a listen and a review from you. I guess I never noticed that there wasn't and official genre listing for trip hop on Looperman. Luckly I was able to cross this one over into Deep House. Thanks for the inspiring review and for letting me share this song with you.
mate really love the intro to this one, very catchy, sounding like a oldie called putting on the ritz, hope I have spelt that correctly, like the whisper vocals, very nice panning, the production of this one is very good, this is one very enjoyable listens, I have heard on the loop doing reviews tonight, major credit to you my friend, adding to favs, can not fault in any form, Peace n Respect Todd...Estefano...
Cool how you created the pad with the acoustic guitar, I have access to so many pad sounds that I haven't had to challenge myself in that manner, maybe just lazy, ha. It has a dream like quality to it, a trance like effect as I listen, like drifting through space all alone in a daze. Quality of the track is quite good, much respect on putting this together!
a nice trancy song, for sure one that can get me to dance! only one thing i dont rlly get some times is the extra sounds u used like on 1:39 sounds more like someone falling from his chair:P no offence tho maybe its just me ...overall a nice groovy trancy song ...keep it up ..greetings R13
Thanks Roel! It's good to get some input as to what you thought. I value your opinion. After listening to the track again, I noticed what you were referring to. It does kind of sound like somebody falling off their chair. Nice observation. I'm gald you still liked the song overall.
wassup toddj, this z a fresh house joint, so smooth nd deeep yeah man, VIIIIIIBEEEEZ!!! d(^_^)b. e vocs r familiar, tho that cud jus be my imagination?
Thanks so very much Daniboi! I'm glad it met your approval. It is often hard for me to try and make a song that fits into a certain genre. I think I'm starting to get the feel for making this kind of music. Even though it mainly by mixing samples together. Yes the vocals might be familiar. The whispering was done by Stephanie Kay and the one chorus vocalization without words was done by DJAreith.
Great stuff toddj. The bass is complementing the drum beat very well. The whispering voices spices the all intruments. This is really a delicious meal for driving on the freeway for all long distance. Keep playing this really good stuff. God Bless
Thanks Kg! I really liked the bass line that I chose for the second version. It's pretty neat how everything just seems to fall right in place. The complements for the nice whisper goes to Stephanie Kay. I wouldn't of had a the track title with out it. It's encouraging to hear from you. It helps me to know what kind of music to keep making.
Back to check out second half and man same as last review, totally love it, mate I rarely download tracks but I am going to download this one, thats how much I love this work you have created...MASSIVE fav man...Peace n Respect...Estefano...
Thanks again for listening to the track in its entirety. Thanks for downloading it. I'm really glad you love it. It's my honor to be able to share it with you.
Mate have to agree with my friend John, stunning piece, moby sounding voice whom I am a big fan of, track seems to have a big moby sound about it, nice beat, very nice pad/synths, who is on the vocals, nice voice, clarity of this mix is extremely good, massive piece, into fav's n off to check out second half now, looking forward to it after this one...Peace n Respect...Estefano...
I'm flattered by the comparison to Moby. Subconsciously I must have been influenced by some of Moby's work and didn't even know it. Most of the ambient samples came from an E-jay Sound Selection Sample disk that would also include the voices. Thank you so very much Estefano, for the great review!
