yea this is a refreshing track. nice to get away from the usual halfstep wobble tracks. great atmosphere and vibe here. deep dubby basses. effects are sick. i agree the drums could be more intersting but it barely detracts from the vibe.
just my mood.. that's funny, I was thinkin it sounded underwater. I didn't even notice the name till now. ( i left the room after listening to do laundry b4 reviewing) great pads around it! great composition and all. thanks for sharing! peace
so i don't really like the steady tick tick tick of that hi hat and I'd personally play with the drums more now that the rest is perfect, wow.. coooool sht bro ! ps: got a new one up myself ; )
Hey brother! Already checked and faved your track hehe!
Thanks for the feedback. I know there isn't any variations in the drums and I intend to play with them for sure. I see what you mean about the hihat I'll try to change that.
This is like an electronic rain storm! I love the subtle computer sounds! Weird voices too! You are a master of glitch, seriously! I think you've reprogrammed my brain with this one! Well done!
Wow Spiv! Thanks again!! Hope I didn't put bugs in the new program haha.
Master of glitch I don't know, but really, coming from you, means a lot my friend!
i closed my eyes and stayed in place. that was the value of your music for me - keeping me in place. you maintain the mood even as you introduce some variation eventually. i thought that was a good thing. i may feature this music on my website, possibly with an outerspace pic, or an underwater pic. i'd be looking for something that suggests impending action - but not quite in full action yet. like a shooting star emerging from the dark, or a school of fish just appearing from behind a rock in the deep dark sea with a glimmer of light. let me know if you know a pic that works for you with this track.
peace
Thanks for your listen. Really like your descriptions, I haven't really thought of a particular picture, but yours seem great!
Just sent you the mp3, btw.
Very ambient ALX. you do the cinematic genre justice. i haven't made a good new cinematic piece in a minute, i been on my hip hop phase. :P haha i like the ringing arp bell throughout and the soundscape is beautiful and mysterious at the same time...it feels like a place you would know..and yet, it is unknown to you..very nice man. faved
I love it, its very chill but still playful. I had to fav it. Ambient is underrated if you ask me, it gets pushed into the backgrounds of movies and videogames and very few people really listen for lighter effects.
Soothing sounds my friend! This is some real glitch! Great sound collection! I like how it has sort of a vintage feel to it! Nicely done! Faved for sure!
Love your soundscapes. I generally tend to find most darker ambient songs oppressive, but it's the complete opposite case here. I feel like I'm being swallowed by the drone, but by my own will. Extremely immersive music. This would work wonders with visuals in a live context.
5 seconds in and I f*cking love this. The drums and percussion are amazing...I can't resist a funky groove created out of elements that in no way would be considered "funky" in isolation. Also, the synths and pads are perfect. And the bit from 2:15 - 3:00 mark...that is...wow, I'm listening to the track while writing this, and I'm kind of in awe of how amazing it is...it sounds heartbreakingly sad and the broken beats just accentuate that feeling...honestly these words are doing a disservice to your song, so I shall stop by saying that this is probably the best song I've ever heard on Looperman, and it is certainly the one that's had the most visceral impact on me.
Faved [like that was in doubt]
PS - Could I by any chance please get a 320 of this? I'll give you a donut in return.
Very good moments of musical plays, and exceptional soundscapes. But for your information, listening is more comfortable on the speakers, that with headphones on his ears ....
Maybe it's because it's more effective when it fills the whole room, rather than being close to your ears... well.. haven't really considered the difference with or without headphones here.
But thanks for the feedback and the listen Dan!
I love this track, although it probably would be categorised in the dubstep genre, with that beat, tempo and wobbles, it is very different to the other dubstep you here, and I love it for it. It's a great, mellow track and I am favouriting now..
excellent sound manipulations - makes me think of the great magnetic tape musics of the 50.s and 60.s - melded with you're own tunefuleness - this really works A6 - a beauty of a track man and inspiring!
Yeah I tried not to be totally like musique concrète, but to have some melody in it.
Thanks for your input Michael, appreciate the listen and the fav.
Beautiful rising soundscape which also took me to the depths of the ocean, exploration music right here, nice soft textures on the phones listening cant help but relax close my eyes and see the varied coloured patterns. nice job, enjoyed this very much defo a fav, thanks for sharing. peace.
Great track Alx! Really into the atmospherics of the track and the space, and how all the sounds blend together. I like the slight noise burst that play within panned states, very cool. The huge sfxs transition the track nicely. I wasn't expecting drums, but, a nice touch. :)
Yeah at first I wasn't really sure of leaving the drums or not. But then I found them fitting and adding something so...
Glad you like it, thanks for the listen!
what a great soundscape. love those wave sounds. Very interesting and intense listen - like some early synth music from the 70s. very cool, im sure you had fun playing with those sounds and making them extend like that
Wow, what a soundscape! I love ambient music like this! Pink Noise is fun isn't it? Aww it's over! Well that was a very enjoyable listen! Faved for sure!
