I have a point? lol... Thanks for listening to my strange outburst! I've been trying to learn how best to effect my vocals in different situations, so I'm glad you like the sound of it! I appreciate you stopping by!
I liked this a lot Patrick! It's not necessarily dub-step per say but something deeper in a more nouveaux way. Some ideas to call it....Spastic-step, Industro, Vitrol-step, bitter-better, AUIYF (All up in your face)or the ever popular Trip-step-fall. You can tell I am using my Evil-marketing degree to good use here. I like the way you use vocals and specifically hard consonants as a percussive sound on your vocals. good work!
Steve
Thanks for listening my friend! I like your marketing ideas, but at the same time I shudder to think what more related genre labels will do to the music industry... ha ha! Did you mean vitriol-step? That would make sense. This was all made pretty quickly, so that percussive vocal element was just a glitch that worked. It's good to hear from you on this one!
Spivkurl this is So f***ed up and twisted sounding .........But I loved it so much its faved and downloaded, now can I have some of whatever it is you are on please :) hahahaha great work mate
Hey friend, thanks so much for the listen and fave! This was just something I felt I had to do, makes it even more effective when people can enjoy it! I wasn't on anything that can't be grown, espresso, tobacco, wonder woman skunk, and turmeric. I think it more signifies that off something... way off! I really appreciate your continued support!
Hey Spiv,...if you say its dubstep I`ll take your word for it as I know squat about the electronic sub genres (and many other things)...Have to tell you I have a big smile on my face while I`m listening...sounds like that fella was cutting some bad gas but yet had the good sense to tune them nicely...what fun would music been if you couldn`t have some fun with it...good on ya...keep them creative juices flowing...no excuses needed...I`ll tune in....Ed
I'm glad I could enhance your smiling, as your songs always cheer me up too! I've gotten the impression that you know more about electronic genres than a lot of people out there for real. Thanks so much for stopping by to listen!
Thanks for listening friend! Glad I could get a chuckle! The vocals fit with my vision, maybe not with the rhythm. I don't think this is anyone's style to be honest. I appreciate the comment!
Yo, Spivkurl. Stop flooding this site with your SHIT! We're having to employ industrial cleaners to remove it all and it's one hell of a job. And it still smells really bad after each deep clean.
0:19-0:21 there's actually a really cool little tune in that twisted vocal sound. Definitely take advantage of that! Cut it out and extend it. Could even be a type of chorus.
I am indeed in your Spivkurlian face but I'm not judging you (you are above judgement - only God and the Devil are qualified to do that). But you'll never put me in my place!
Hey buddy, my sh*t all gets put here so I can keep my house clean... ha ha. Glad you like the twisted voice sound. The "don't you judge me" was just a nod to My Name Is Earl, and it seemed appropriate because I expect a lot of crap for this song. Thanks for listening!
Well done my friend. Love REM. Automatic for the people is still their best in my opinion. Night Swimming is the highlight. If you're a fan, check out Lacuna Coil's cover of Losing My Religion. Fantastic.
Hey thanks for the positive comment my friend! I'm listening to that cover right now, and it's pretty cool! Thanks for the suggestion! Night Swimming is a great song! It's kind of interesting to hear different people's opinions on their favourite REM stuff. I really appreciate your support and continued involvement in Looperman!
It's like NIN and REM hanging out together :D Nice!! Maybe after Christmas I'll try my hand at an electronic song, all those new loops you just uploaded will come in handy :D I"ll take a cup of coffee too :P (make it two)
Hey that's cool! Any time someone brings up NIN, I get excited! I'm making espresso today, but I can only make one cup at a time, so you'll have to wait for the second one! Eager to here you manipulate some of my loops! Thanks for the listen and comment!
Hey bud thanks for the positive review! Both the 90's and Trent Reznor were big influences on me, so I appreciate that! Good to have you here on the Loop!
Don't know the original either, but it's a really great track! The vocals are very unique, and the electronics behind are fitting so well.
As always, quality production and outstanding work mate!
Off to listen to the original now!
Hey friend! I really appreciate your feedback on this track! It's nice to see I might be getting some people into this album who haven't heard it before. Thanks for the listen!
I am not familiar with the original so hearing it for the first time any other version will be compared to this one. I really like the electro vibe and I like the effects on your vocals. As usual the production is superb in my ears. You also bring emotion which is always hard for me. You seem very comfortable. Nice piece of work!
Hey, thanks! I'm honoured that you felt I conveyed emotion, because that's what I set out to do! It's a pretty emotional song originally, so I tried to keep that, but make it mine. I really appreciate you taking a listen!
Interesting interpretation man,I'm familiar with the original and it makes me like your version all the more!....you've got that 80's Thomas Dolbyish electro vibe happening big time,I dig the vocal effect.....covers in my opinion are all the better when the musician transforms the piece into a whole new experience like you've done here..cool!
cheers Dave
Hey friend, haven't seen you around lately! I'm honoured to get your review! It's good to hear from someone who is familiar with the original. Thanks so much for the positive comment!
Hey thanks so much my friend! I was kind of trying to fuze retro things with more modern technologies in this one. Was a fun one to create! Thanks for listening!
Hey thanks so much for the support! I'm glad I could surprise you! Yes, for a long time Document was my fave of theirs too, but I seriously appreciate the experimental nature of Monster. Thanks for listening!
Hi Spiv,
Thanks for this nice "surprise": you covering REM was not the most obvious thing to expect :-)
I love REM, though Monster is definitely not my favorite album.
Your rendition of this song is really special: I think the original is way darker. You chose to use "more open" sounds and yet reach a level of "uneasiness" that really stands out.
You singing hip-hip-hurray is almost scary. And that's meant as a compliment!
Beautiful. Looking forward to hearing more from you.
Thanks.
Ciao, Domenico
Thanks so much for your kind words Domenico! It's interesting to hear you say that the original is way darker, I guess you're probably right. It was fun to put my own spin on the hip hip hurray parts, the timing is so important on that part. Thanks for downloading, and leaving a comment! I appreciate your words!
Hey buddy, it's good to hear from you! I'm glad you could get into both the vocals and the music! It was a very spontaneous project, and I'm happy to be getting a good reaction! Thanks much!

Vocals were nice, and I was digging the electro.
MrWolf is right, definitely not what I saw coming.
And we all know Document was REM's best album lol!
