wow....this should be getting a lot more listens (and comments)...did you do the vocals?...they are just superb...and the accompaniment is top notch....noting to offer...I`ll just listen & join the applause......great track....Ed
I was waiting for the day you were going to pick the mic up. Man you are progressing quick. Your voice is definitely shining like the bright morning sun.
This track has also got that vintage feel. Don't know if that's what you intended in the mix but it sure worked out.
I get the feeling that your a generation or two above me with your music but hey doesn't mean I don't enjoy it.
I swear I can picture a couple of futurama style robots drunkenly stumbling around with those really cool funky like sine synths and I couldnt help but laugh! I also enjoy story music (I have a couple myself but not on the Loop awesome work here I really enjoyed this.
I really like this, It's got a very late-70's feel. As Oceanically mentioned, there's something of Bowie about it. You have a great voice as well by the way. It's very bright and clear. I would love to hear you do a ballad. I'll definitely be checking out more of your stuff.
Mars is just the first step! There's serious plans to go there. So that face on mars is modeled after you? ;) Geez you get a monument while the rest of us just get unpleasant experiments performed on us...
Mmmmm Did you save us some apple pie to go with this sweet treat too? Going get diabetes from all this sweetness!! I'll have to invest in one of those mics! I record my acoustic guitar and voice samples with my cell phone voice recorder (nothing but professionalism). :p I have a sure mic but its so muffled sounding I don't bother with it.
Haha. Yeah, the mic is amazing. It looks super vintage and silver and amazing and it picks up sound in just the right way--not to hot, not full pops, and it can handle both loud and soft sounds--although when I start to sing loud high notes I need to put it reeeeeeally far away from me.
very nice effort! I really like both vocal parts, you did it very well. The instrumental will need some adjustments - especially hihats, crash cymbals, reversed cymbals and similar stuff sound a little strange with the wobbling bassline to me. let us say: it is very eclectic work but for sure there is some other way to mix it better.
Congrats on the vocal work! Alex
Wow what kind of mic did you buy? It sounds great! For being new to the electronic genre, you're not bad
:D One of the biggest things with electronic music, however , is having a solid structured song. I noticed I some parts were out of sync and this is passable considering you're still learning but I would recommend looking into MIDI to help you. Practically every producer uses it or has used it at one point. So far, this track is decent. You can only go up from here! The vocal is amazing :D
Thanks ER! It's nice to have the feedback and encouragement. I bought a Blue Yeti, which cost me $019 on Amazon. It's a USB mic that was pretty plug and play friendly once I figured out how to get my DAW to recognize it.
A well thought out track. Lets the listener in slowly into the doorway of the Nemesis's mind and as each instrument is progressively introduced in, the mind of our Nemesis is revealed, at first peaceful but as the sub bass kicks in, a sinister motive is unveiled. Our Murmurous Nemesis may extend his hand out to shake ours, but his other hand hides a knife.
Awesome work buddy! Blessings - B.
This a really fun track, very bright. Your mixing and leveling is fine, especially for someone new to the game. My only issue is there's quite a lot going on here right off the bat. This is more a problem of arrangement rather than mixing. The track needs a little room to breathe, maybe build up a bit to it's full "shinyness"; if that makes sense? Either way, it's an impressive start. Keep working at it and I'm sure you'll be making some excellent songs.
