Merci beaucoup !
C'est tout à fait le genre de morceau qui m'aide à improviser sur ma basse !!! ;)

Cool intro, got my headphones on. The keys/vibes/organ instrument is neat then the snappy crisp drums and bass kinda steal the show! Nice mix, spacious. I close my eyes and I feel I'm at the club, listening to the band.

Can't say I know who Bugge is. You know some cool artists I am unfamiliar with, thanks for turning me on to them!

Wow, amazing drum track. I love this dragging rhythm and the countering bass line. This bass line reminded of a track of Bomb the Bass (for which I cannot seem to remember the title at this moment). This snapping dry snare is simply the coolest. I know modern jazz can be all over the place, but I think your track might even be more powerfull and accessible if you keep some of the solo lines into key with the bass or rhodes. You alos might want to consider to fill some empty frequency spectrums in this great track. Maybe a simple organ with a few chords might do te job.

Then again, it is your track and it sounds amazing as it is. Fav'ed.

Hello DrvanLansberg,

thanks for your friendly words, i quote your advice about the solo lines into key with the bass or rhodes :) however, i don't understand the meaning of "to fill some empty frequency spectrums", english is not my natural language and the translator didn't help me lol

thanks again for your feedback,

Nice ambient background in the intro, then it's like sixties jazz with 40's atonality. cool in it's expression, chimes telling a diminished story. Stuttered trumpets, like a politically incorrect jazz troupe performing for all nations of fluid people and the outre religious.

I love it. A really creative track. It starts out really dark and ominous, but develops into a seedy club chillout track. Fantastic work.

Very nice modern jazzy chill out track. the melody is catchy and constantly evolving. You made nice use of panning the sound to give the production a fuller body. You might turn down the synth sound a little as it is a notch too loud in my opinion. Still a very nice and original song to listen to. Tres bien!

Hey the vox and music works very well together
Cool track mate
+ the sound is pretty cool
If i can just add something it's about the cymbals
may be a bit to "strong" no ?
Not too "loud", i mean velocity

Great job !!

Hello Indie,

amicalement

I had to pop back to listen some more to this.
This track marks you out as A producer.
This is just so pro.
Fantastic moody piece.
I want to fave it again but I'm only allowed the one.
Hope you're coping with the weather.
I'm snowed in and don't mind at all especially when I can pop in here and listen to productions of this quality.

Hey Jack!

May be we all have the same feeling when we finished a track: the moment when you post it and you think: is it enough good? does it need more work?
And the comments arrive, the smile too (in this present case)
I'm so much relieved by reading your compliments! I shall have been hardly bothered to massacre a so beautiful voice and I saw your comments as the real delivery thus thank you, thank you and thank you again! i spent many hours on this track.

Bravo. I really like this. Pellas are so fun to play with. I think you've matched the mood of the music perfectly with the mood of the vocals to create a very beguiling whole from the sum of the parts. And I also really like the two musical breaks. Is that music you played or are those loops? It all comes together into a seamless, soulful little musical journey.

DubSmockers replied 25th Feb 2018 - 8 years ago
Hello CitizenMofo and thanks a lot for this really appreciate feedback!
to answer you: no loops are used in this track, i write each line from the instrumental part.

I forgot to answer Danke's comment about the guitar solo, so if you permite me, i will do it here :)
the guitar solo has been composed with a synth guitar ^^

As you said Citizenmojo this track wouldn't be like that without the mood of the vocals. Esoreni is an unbelievable singer: It's a real crush !

Outstanding effort here from you my man!!!

I did not hear a lot of songs here, where the harmony between the music and the voice was so good...
great solo (was it a guitar or synth guitar or stg like that:-))?
the melancholy like mood is gorgeous as the instrumentaism too...
2 things as side notes:
at 4.08 there is an 'out of rhythm' snare beat...was it deliberate?
...and you should correct the name of the singer in the title...just sayin...:-)

though, hats off, Danke

wow Danke, will i find words enough strong to say you "thanks" for this great compliment!?!?!? i wanted to answer you in french but i can't, it's not possible after a such feedback! thank you very very much from the deepest of my heart!
for the first thing you noticed: you're right there is an out of rythm and no is not a voluntary choice. When i wrote the rhythmic line, this small wrong note escaped me and I forgot to correct it (what a shame!) i will do it i promise!
for the second thing, you're right too! the artist name is eSoreni, my fault :)

thanks again and again!

The solo is luscious.

The singer gives this a similar vibe as Cigarettes After Sex (They're great).

I can't think of any ways to improve this so I'll leave you with big well done!
