Ah man, I dig it bro!
Miles was one cool cat, probably the guy who actually put the "cool" in jazz, and one bad ass trumpeteer.
Definitely one of the most recognized figures and most influential in jazz history. I like the fusion here and the balance between the instruments. A nice lazy groove with some sweet, tasteful runs back and forth. Pretty awesome mix and the vinyl cracks and pops really adds a nostalgic feel. Thanks so much for the hip trip my man. By all means keep them coming!

Glad I listened to this, nice groove! The horns are fantastic, you don't hear a muted horn used much here. Feels like I am sitting in a smokey club listening to a band play. Well done man, excellent job!

Just when I think I've heard all of the great guitar players on Looperman, I blindly stumble upon another. God, this is really good. You have mad skills that translate beautifully into real, honest to goodness, music. That guitar solo is just about as tasty as it gets.

WONDERFUL!!!! From start to finish this one is a hit. Definitely added to favorites and man, I am glad I found your work. I hope all is well.

Hi.

When I first heard this I thought it reminded me of some of my own music.

Then I saw Evisma had commented and thought he might say the same thing. And he did.

I think perhaps there is no key change in the whole track (something I struggle with a lot in my own music making) though it's not a problem.

Anyway, one of my first thoughts is how much your main chord (0:02) reminds me of a couple of INXS songs. I think The Gift and Need You Tonight.

First couple of seconds reverse fadein remind me a lot of the intro to Hendrix's Foxy Lady.

Pretty powerful, banging drums and you've got ride cymbal layered with pedal hat/shaker - the kind of thing I also do.

0:30 decent synth melody that returns a lot throughout the track.

0:45 guitar is very cool and funky. Simple kind of melodic tune.

1:06 you're layering little reverse bits of guitar in for a while.

1:28 nice drop from ride cymbal to hat.

1:34 cool little jazzy chords and nice guitar tone, with guitars oppositely panned.

2:09 reverse guitar rise I like a lot.

2:31 good guitar tone and controlled bends. A classic sort of melodic, jazzy solo with some very fluid runs. Better soloing than I'm usually able to do.

3:15 ambient synth pad is good. Maybe the first appearance of it in the track, maybe not.

Bass is solid and supports things well though I didn't notice it much the first couple of times I listened to the track.

Overall: creative, musically impressive stuff that I like.

Hey Static, thanks for the comprehensive review of the track.Yes there is a bit of your influence in there i believe, but then i love what you do.I have always been a muso that soaks up what i like and it just then comes out in my own way.I really enjoy trying to create funky tunes with some edge mainly.Yes, i as well tend to hang onto one tonality for the tune, prefer a groove to a song on this type of platform really. The bass is just a synth loop i created and it runs the whole tune,i could have done more with it but i dont believe it would have added much.Hendrix and inxs? too right ,love em!Take care Sir.

hello
this is one very stylish funky number! I mean not only at 0:03 but also from 0:46! 2:40 - 3:15 some brilliant guitar jazzy madness. Your instrumental skills are so impressive. The choir type of synth on the outro section is fine too.
Are you interested in collaborations? I think I could contribute some interesting synthesizers sometime.
I really enjoyed this track from you.

Best, Alex

Thanks so much Alex for those inspiring words, glad you enjoyed the track. As far as collaboration goes, i dont really believe i would have the time to be honest as i struggle to keep my looperman input going with work committments as it is but if i do undertake that route in the future i will certainly give you a look as your work is awesome.good luck.

Greetings.

I like the feel you have going through this. Lead lines are very nice and everything flows well.

There is a bit around 2:00 that reminds me of something StaticNomad would do. The filling of a transition.

I dig it.
