I Like this. Of the work that I've listened to from you, it kind of reminds me of my own early attempts at dubstep, which I don't have posted, (for a reason). I like the "cinematic" approach. It kind of breaks the conventional formula and gives it emotion. It doesn't just sound like chopped synths placed over a beat. It gives the drops a purpose.
Your drops in this one are greatly improved since "Enlightenment". There's a definite impact when it hits. The flow is smooth. None of them stand out more than any of the others. (At least on these speakers).
Something else I liked were the way you hid the growls in the main melody. It seemed to keep it tied together, and it brought in a bit of spice to the mix without sounding out of place.
Good work on this one, man.
Thank you very much for the thoughtful comment I really appreciate it. I think I still may have to mess with the levels a little bit. I'm still a newb at this so its kinda hard to "hear"it ya know.
Quick Question did you master and cleaned up this track? Sounds Freakin Good love the flow of dubstep synths and piano. Now I am not good with dubstep nor cinematic type sound but this was GOOD! the bass, the subs on point and the pianos you have going @44 is just beautiful. I would maybe put the levels down a bit try to fugure out what you want to sound loud and what you want in the background, some are a bit hard to hear cuz some are just a bit too loud. Apart from the Bloodly NICE GOOD AGAIN MATE!
Yea I mixed and mastered it on ableton . If you can call it that lol. I still need to get better on fine tooning levels and filters and whatnot. Thank you for the good comment its much appreciated.
Dude you impressed me once again before I knew the beat got better and better. I think its a good idea to have more of this free times if this what you would make with them.
Thx for the positive comment. I really appreciate the good comments on my experimental stuff it makes me feel like there is some hope for me lol. Cheers!
Ha dark stuff huh? I can relate. I probably make too many dark sounding tracks, maybe that's why I can't appeal to the "masses." Never really followed the crowd anyways, I've known alot of dark people in my life too so I guess it kind of rubbed off on me. I'm not a evil person or anything, I just like dark stuff. Anything dark. lol Enough about that, digging this track. Great combination of genres. Since I'm so bad and dark, I'm not usually into the upbeat vibes you got going on here. Just depends on my mood though. Like the electro like synth work, ended suddenly though...err, I don't really like when that happens in a track. You should of made a outro of some sort. Unless your going to extend it, regardless nice production. Could be polished up a bit more, otherwise still great work on this! faving, peace
Nice work, keep practicing! Reminds me of a track I did when I first got started ;) You live in Colorado? If so nice to see someone from my state on here ;) Anyways, keep it up! You ever want to work on a track together feel free to PM me.
I love vibes here. It's so peaceful in the intro, really beautiful sounds used there. I love drop also, nice choice of sounds there. This is very good mixed, I enjoyed it!
This acapella is much used on looperman, I noticed it, and I just heard another great use. You mixed it very well. Honestly, I was expecting pure electro drop, but still was positive surprised when heard some dubstep there. This is very good work, keep it up!
Man something really strange about this track? BUT totally loving it in a good way, cant put my finger on what stands out for me to say it is strange, I think that is what is making me really enjoy listening to this one, it is so different from what I have heard today doing reviews, impressive work, not many tracks here that have this sound, I think Pop maybe better genre choice but does seem to have a couple of genre's going on...MASSIVE FAV...Peace n Respect...Mosaic...
Probably because the acapella is just slightly out of key with the song. I think pop is definitely a better choice and ill change the genre, that def suits this a little better. Thanks for commenting.
Well..that was a unfit title for this track because I wasn't enlightened at all. No kidding, I'm just messing with you. Anyways, digging the approach with this one. The synths put you in a trance and has a great bounce to it. The part at 1:28 stands out, like how it does that later on too. Pretty nice fusion of genres, great work. Keep up the productions bro. peace
I really enjoyed this one. I like the combination of orchestra and dubstep you added to the track, works nicely. I The drop was pretty good too. Good stuff here man, thanks for the listen :)!
Definitely love the darker aspect of it more than the "cheesy ass chipmunk bubblegum synth business" as valvedriver puts it haha. Flow is very nice, and overall great job!
Hey man. Good update. The levels on the different synths in the drop match each other much better than before. They definitely flow into each other quite a bit more smoothly, and you can hear all of them. And it really is a pretty cool drop. Now, just bring them all down to where they match the levels of the rest of the song, and you should be golden!
