I like the filtered transition at :48. This feels very eighties to me, and I love me some eighties music. I love 1:40 and the edits on the bassline. It would be interesting if you could add some slap echo on the je t'aime vox. 2:24 is nice and gritty. liking that section. or should I say J'aime cette sector. Nice work overall
Steve
Thx Steve. Appreciate the feedback. I'm gonna try out that slap echo. If it works out, I might edit and upload cause there is one other section that I'm thinking about altering also.
You have a great ear for 80's music, those retro synth sounds take me back to the early days - no cellphones, no ipads, no computers, no playstations - just the world outside the house to be discovered.... B :)
Thnx for checking it out. I love your comment! Sorta how I tried to capture an 80's vibe through music, you captured it in words :] Thnx again for the listen.
Four on the floor rhythm pump is classic electro-disco. Put this in the ipod shuffle on the space robot you build. Basses are nice and gritty. Reminds me of Anthony Rother a bit.
Genuine retro feel always with your tracks.

Thnx man! I went all out 80's synthpop. Tried to capture the feel and the sound. Threw in a hint of Disco and of course tried to throw in my own vibe as well.
If that song would be played on a 40up party or a 80´s party, i bet noone would think -hey this isnt from the 80´s-
Most would think -fuuuu what was the name of this song, i am sure i remember it but i dont got the name-
So you did it all good and right. Its just like 35 years old and often listen to :)
Well, that wasnt too obscure. I've never heard it though. I couldn't help but notice how stripped down that remix is. It seems like Latino music worked its way into the mainstream and had an impact on 80's synth music.
When I was in the 80's, I didn't care too much for the whole synth-pop. But, the older I get, the more I love it. Mainly, because I listen back and I can hear the innocence and simplicity of a musical era that hadn't quite found it's running legs yet.
Everything about this is 80's. Right down to the title. I've always felt that in order to capture the essence of a particular musical era, you either had to have been there, or you have to have an intimate understanding of the mindset of the general mentality through lot's of observation or a brushing up on your historical knowledge. I'm not sure which it is for you, but either way, You've nailed this one spot on.
Excellent work. Or, in 80's speak, "Totally rad, dude!"
Take care.

Thnx Val! You are another of the people I've noticed early on in my time on this site. I really like your work and respect your opinion. Really glad you liked the track. I think your description of innocence and simplicity is bang on. I hear that in the 80's synthpop sound. I'm not ashamed to admit how much I enjoy that music. Of course, like all genres of music, there's good and bad I suppose.
As for me being around in the 80's or not, I'm gonna leave that one open cause I don't want it to sway anyone's opinion on my sound ;)
Awesome ! There was a movement for about a year that incorporated a latino sound in dance music in about 1982 and 83, songs like A.E.I.O.U.and later songs like Come go with me, Fascinated, Li'l Louis French Kiss. which led to remix troupes like the latin rascals in the mid late eighties. Great memories and nice work.
Steve
Thnx man! Starting to know who's who around here and I like your work and respect your opinion. I'm glad you gave it a listen and very pleased you like it.

Well since i've reviewed all your tracks i thought i'd give this another outing. I really dig the retro feel of this and i think it's the best track you've done so far. There's so much nostalgia in this tune and i love that vocal sample. It's great to see how quickly you've improved at this music malarkey as well.
Great stuff.

Really slick 80's redo. The pad break around :50 is very cool. reminds me of Axel-F, or some early vangelis sounds.
Nice one.
I appreciate you listening and commenting!
