on A Nostalgic Sound by RealProblemShuckers
Others have mentioned it about using notes that aren't in the key of the song. It certainly gives it an interesting bit of tension whereas the song is relatively happy and upbeat sounding. It seems to work though and like Bear said, you are only 11 years old, pretty impressive work. I'm sure you could spice it up a bit more here and there but it sounds good as is. Well done RPS!

I like the sampling. For a minute i thought one of those bloody ad's had opened up somewhere lol. Now it's all gone a bit dub stepish & then old school for a bit before back to dubstep again. There's good elements in this piece but it definitely fits well into the weird genre. I definitely prefer the one your plugging at the moment but it still has good elements to it.

This is so cool! Simple, melodic lead. Straight forward drum beat. Right up my alley.

Good job. Plus, did you notice the track visually looks like some kinda space ship? How cool is that?! haha :)

This is cool, the rabid intensity of the snares, give away to the strings.....and by having that open verse allows the track a greater breath! Nice job! I like it!

I keep having ro remind myself that you are only 11, really impressive work. Your use of dissonance is really impressive. That is something most people don't learn until well into music theory classes. Just keep doing what you are doing. You have great instincts and a skill set beyond your years. I hope all is well.

I always enjoy a good bit of square bass and you've complimented it well with that synth. I like the bit where it breaks down to the piano, that sounds well old school and we like a bit of that round here. I also like the sneaky drum rolls as well.
Good work. Keep it up.

Good bounce....Moves like it wants to go somewhere...

Just got to find that sweet spot, with a solo or something if you
get my drift...
Over all it's a solid lock on the groove...

Peace...TG.

56 plays and nobody bothered to comment. I get p*ssed when i see that. This is a good track, that bassline is fat and progresses niceley through the track. Nice piano leads and good use of harmonisation, I like the beats and the synth has a kind of chinese feel to it. The transitions are good and i'd say this is a good track. Don't understand why it got such little attention. But i guess thats looperman for ya.
Cheers for sharing.

Awesome! Looking forward to hearing this! RoseErin and Danke are definitely some of my favorite loopers! Very nice when the clap loop comes in, sweet! I was glad when the choir part stopped, because I'm just not into choir sounds... nothing said about your music just me. I guess the only thing I can think of that would make this song even cooler is some filter automation on some parts... just a thought, and another example of my preference. Good ending! Nicely done!

Thanks, Spivkurl. And it's okay if you don't like choir sounds... everyone has their own opinions :)

Thanks for the kind words.

on The Number by RealProblemShuckers
My first impression of this track is that it's very dynamic! It's one of those songs that entices one to turn it up, and I did! Very cool sounds you used, some sort of vintage, and some quite modern. I love hardcore, but I'm not very good at it, you however are! Parts of this remind me of some Skinny Puppy, for example stuff from their album "The Process." That's my favorite of their albums too, so I mean it in only the best way! Fine work on this song! Faved for sure!

Another very cool remix! It's really stripped down, I like that about it. You added an interesting synth at the beginning. It's original and still has the feel of the original in there. Well done, welcome to the Nightr8 club!!

This was great. Very easy on the ears, unlike mine, hehe.
Strays very far from the original, that's cool. It stands up on it's own as a fun track.
Spivkurl
ooo liking the intro already! Very different style here! I'm enjoying the minimal nature of the mix, minimal isn't as easy as it seems. You have made a cool contrast between light and dark elements, way to go! Quite an awesome one to hear! Fave and DL!

Thanks, a mix of light and dark elements was what I was aiming for.

Thanks for the favorite! And DL!

I'll have to listen to this properly tomorrow as i'm on the lap top speaker. Sounding pretty good so far. Like the way you used the vocoded nitrate as an instrument. It's definitely interesting hearing different peoples mixes of it and seeing how different they turned out. (i think this is about the fourth version i've heard today)
Good job with the remix.

Like Free radical said, The transitions are a bit abrupt, but the parts are fantastic. There a re few drum parts that are a bit... odd to the ear, but this is very well done.
