Hello Larry!

This song is floating away...professional chill out...from 2.20 is outstanding...that electric, acoustic, brass triumph is out of control...:-) fabulous piece...

Finaly!:) I was waiting for this one to appear here...was impressed when listening to it on the loopradio!Pleasing chill out ambience we have here! There can't be much to change...if anything, maybe the very beggining is a bit shaky and it needs smoother fade-in and perhaps (but that's just personal preference)the bird's sounds could possibly be leveled a bit lower in the mix, but all in all great job Mark!
I think you should have no major doubts when it comes to sharing some earlier material...may there be many more.:)

Best wishes and take care___Orlando

Hi Orlando,

It was a choice between one of my newer pieces or an older track, but your comments after listening to it on loopradio convinced me to put Soothing Sea on looperman, so many thanks for your encouragement. A big thanks for listening again and for your valued comments. Yes I did overdo the bird sounds a bit... I wanted seagulls but they were asking too much!! Take care Orlando and speak soon.

Best wishes,

Some very nice ambiance in the intro! I know you said you would change a few things but it sounds pretty damn good to me! Has an almost morcheeba vibe at time which i like a lot! I love it when it kicks in at 1:40 very cool. Maybe the transition from there into the next bit could be a tad smoother but its not really that bad. This one is getting faved for sure! :)

Johnnyproducing nailed down the perfect term in the first comment "liquidity".
This song flows really nicely. One may not completely love the choice of some 80s-sound, but for me they are really well chosen and perfectly sitting in the mix (somebody said "howard jones"...good comparison)
Very good.

So As I listen again for a proper review. I like the semi break beat sound. The guitars have an 1989 sound, the mixing up of the beats is cool... The piano at 1:06 is nice. then some arps and some side chained pads and back to cool square wave arps with massive snare beats. nice verb effects at around 2:00, cool distortion at 2:28 works nicely with the arps. 2:54 gives us an ATB like glissando effect fading into a nice sidechained ending. It's really too short of a piece as I
was just getting into it at this point.
good work Mark

Hi Steve,

A really big thanks for giving this a listen again and for your comprehensive and much appreciated comments. I take your point about the length of the track and generally I have tried to keep my tracks between 3-4 minutes (the really early ones were shorter) but I agree this one should be longer. something for me to think about for future tracks. thanks again Steve for your valued opinion.

Very best wishes,

I like this one Mark! The beat sounds really good, has a kind of video game-ish feel to it. Love the arps/pluck-ish part.

Great work!

Hello Mark ....

I almost go again next to this artwork .... This is really well done, and you kept this instrumental logic despite the time spent at the realization. Proof that you have the suite in ideas.

A very good using some samples that you used with ingenuity.

I agree with everyone here, to say that this is really excellent ....

Dan ....

PS: Again here, I'd say we have some points in common (in your way of conceiving in time, for example ....)

Hello Dan,

lovely words and a massive thanks for listening and for liking. When I first made the track I played it to a few people and got a lot of negatives, so I thought long and hard about putting it up on LM. So pleased I did now, but comments good or bad as long as constructive are always welcome.

thanks again for stopping by and for your time....there I go with time again!!!

Take care Dan and very best wishes,

An enjoyable track here Mark, smooth and carries the listener along.
I really enjoyed that drumbeat too that comes in at 0.33.
I see myself cruising along to this in my Lamborgini(in my dreams of course, lol).
Dig those old tracks out! Love to hear them.

Hi Billy,

nice to hear from you and glad you liked this early track from me. I wasn't 100% certain about the drums at first, but instinct said go with it. I certainly intend to air some of the early stuff (for better or worse)! Hopefully you will listen from your Lamgorgini!!! thanks again for your time and comments Billy.

I have to agree with the others....this one definitely has "liquidity" to it, flows so nicely. Mix is really crisp as well. Great little track that's been produced nicely. Nothing to critique here, just a really enjoyable listen on a sunny Sunday morning. This song, plus my coffee, made my day start out just right. I hope all is well.

Nice job Larry... Has a late eighties vibe to it that I like...circa Depeche Mode or Howard Jones.

Pro stuff Larry...super floating, moody, dreamy electro with lots of chill vibes...those melodies are definetely awesome and I'm not sure but that guitar? tone from 0.08 is super great...but what are those bpm noises from 1.17? Are they part of the song? :-)

All the best and give us more from the beginning...

Cheers Mark, Danke

Hi Danke,

Great to know that this was to your liking, I wasn't certain of this myself, hence why it as taken me a while to upload it to a wider audience. The bpm noises were a loop, but I think I should have sweetened them a bit more. I will be uploadig some of my earlier stuff for constructive comment shortly. Thanks again for your usual honest and valued comments.

Hi Mark!

It was a precious moment just to click on the play button!:) As for an early creation this is more than satisfying piece of music! I suspect you must be hiding some more older material somewhere, gathering undeserved dust...so don't hesitate to dust it down and let the daylight shine on it.^^

All the best, my friend___Orlando

Thank you ever so much for your kind comments and as always much appreciated. You are spot on, I have quite a few earlier mixes that are lying in folders that I quite like but I was not confident that they were good enough, thanks for giving me the confidence to upload them in the future. Thanks again for your valued opinion.

Hello Mark

The concept is nice and neat .... There is much diversity in the composition, indicating a high perception of harmonies .... and the work of search performed. Congratulations.
I would not go back on all that has been written here about wishes or reviews of each, sincerely it's a bit secondary, because the listening time is nice .... You are on the right way, keep it up.

First thing I want to know, is when this hits the big time, who do they write out the check to.....Mark or Larry, hahaha.

Like the others have said, a few minor tweaks to the mix would take this one over the top. Just a suggestion, but maybe bring the acoustic/vocals up to the level of synths, etc. in the mix. While the acoustic and vocals in the beginning are nice and soft....and sitting a bit to the right in the mix (at least in my headphones), I think they are missing that stereo picture that would really benefit them. They seem a bit flat and mono compared to the rest of the piece.

Anyway, I'm simply nitpicking here. It really is a great tune even if you leave it the way it is right now. Great job Mark...er Larry, haha. I hope all is well.

Great to here from you, and this alto-ego of mine sometimes has me wondering who would pick up the money!!! Things are fine this end and hope all is well across the water.

OK - everyone has an opinion and I'm not anything more than a listener. My tracks have huge coherence issues so I'm not one to be throwing stones. I think you have to commit to one dominant genre or another. There are brilliant bits to this and in my opinion the dance or techno bits are better than the acoustic bits. I think you can cut the vocals and expand the bridges to complement them. I like this a lot but it has great potential if you kill some of the babies and strip it to its essence which in my opinion is a dance/techno track.
