People call this sort of track busy. Busy sometimes can gloss over little inconsistencies. Acknowledging the "too much" point of view, I think it is a fine example of using many loops: Putting them together seamlessly. It is always fascinating to me to listen to a track where loops are incorporated together, presenting a feel of a real band playing. Cheers, vic

Thank you for the kind words, Vic!
I can absolutely agree with you - when you work with (mostly random) loops, there will be a lot of inconsistencies, imperfections. Mostly the most i can do against them is to fake them or enhance them ("it's not a bug it's a feature!")... Who can look over these anomalies, will enjoy my tunes (mostly). Who can't... Well, he will not. :)
This tune is one of my best i think, the only thing i sorry is the really different quality of the used loops.

korabeli lett...:-)

Thank you!

It's interesting that you come from different cultures, people how else they'll hear the same music from. For me (and for the most european people i think) it's a medieval-like tune. As a hungarian man, i can't imagine mountains on these melodies - it means totally plains to me. :)
In feelings, a bit reminds me to the old "hungarian folk tales" cartoon tale series.

Minimalist? OK, but there's quite a bit going on here. And all good stuff. A lotta loops and they all fit and flow. I know the joy of loop trial and error, discovering great grooves in the intersection of sounds, and you've definitely done it here, this is a great, head-bopping, smile-inducing groove and I really enjoyed it.

Nice easy, peaceful feeling to this track. Some really nice changes too. Got to hand it to you again, a fairly involved song made using all these loops.
It must take some time to find all these loops to fit, the descriptions and if there is a key signature must help a lot.

I feel calmer now after listening, nice job!

Yo Wayne!
Thank you! I must to admit, i never look after temp or key (actually, i don't even know what exactly is key :D).
I just work as a blind man with a music lego. Just trying to put something to something else, then hold it if like the result, or drop it if not. :)

Amazing track i can imagine how much work you have put into this and to be able to bring all this together and find that it works is amazing i love the brass melody line you have weaved into it very classy stuff.. super job best regards Robbie.

Can't remember how much hours worked on it, not so much i think. Slapjohnson's sax solos are most excellent and very easy to use and they are long too - just ad it over (almost) anything and it will work. Because that, i just ashamed to use them a bit. :)
I planned to refine it, but then forgot at all. It's a luck i find the file recently, but i don't have the mood to work on it, so after some fine balancing, uploaded as it was. :)

That's fun stuff mate
i mean because you only used samples from this site it was surely great fun to create your track. (I should be more curious about the loop and sample categories here...)
i used to do that back in the 90's when i discovered what sampling was about (I bought a Yamaha A3000)It's definitly a very exiting and creative way to make music
i'm curious of what you'll do next
Cheers

Yeah, it's really fun most time (and sometimes your terrible nightmare when nothing wants to stay together, lol). The next one likely will be a horrible one, because i will play all the guitars. :)
However, i have tons of unfinished projects too, one of them are almost ready too so it's possible to finish that before.

Main guitar is maybe a tad too loud in the mix, but all in all you have put all those loops together quite nicely....congrats!

Maybe you are right. After the vocalist rejected early version of the track because he find it still too instrumental, i did not put too much energy to refine it, it's "reduced" to a guitar practice. I just "decorated" a bit then call it a day. :)

I loved it! Very relaxing but I did not like the first 14 sec, sounded out of place. Also i didn't like the instrument that came in from 3:13-3:43. Other than that brilliant!

Yeah, the intro is a bit something else, but i love it, and find it very useful: you can listen any track on any style right before this, by a few sec it will makes the mood you need for enjoy the track. At least to me it works really effectively after a lot "harder" tracks.

Guitars, guitars and more guitars, I have no problem with that! Nice to hear a full sound and you didn't have to crush it with a limiter or too much compression. The instruments seem to have more breathing room in the mix, good job! This peaceful, soothing track is fighting my morning coffee buzz. ha!

Thanks Wayne!

You can't imagine how many times i had to record these simple melodies and how much time had to cut and edit them in my daw, lol.. I'm the worst guitar player ever (right after Lil Wayne of curse, but he is disqualified for this title :D) and need a few years for improve this to an acceptable level. :)

The ending is cool.
For a loop track that I presume you haven't engineered in any way VST's etc I think this is cool.
Very nice listen.
