Thx alot for the link! If you would like to use this track in any of your projects just let me know (consider the use of private message via my profile).
Haaa...Billy, what an interesting view and observation on this one and very positive indeed! Colab work with Ed always gives me the oportunity to stretch and boost my imagination.
His work is always an important platform, allowing me to develop my musical abilities to the new heights. I hope we will be making some more in the future.:)
Yeah, "intergalactic jazz piece"...this is really spirited description and thank you so much for taking the time to listen and posting this delightful comment!:)
This has got to be one of the most beautiful Looperman collaborations I've heard so far. The arrangement is quite luscious. Well done to the both you of you!
As soon as the track began, I was transported into a western movie scene, a lone horseman rides into town to revenge the slaughter of his family and friends....that's the power of music...great track!
Very interesting and imaginative interpretation of this piece! It's real fun to observe how it draws different pictures in people's minds. For example...I imagine Chris Rea leaving the movie theatre at the seaside after watching "Bladerunner" and then meets the Moody Blues lads in their bermuda shorts catching some sun on the beach (apparently they have better legs than the Spice girls these days:))and asks Justin Hayward for an autograph.:)
Anyways, thank you so much for stopping by, taking the time to listen and posting this delightful comment!
Why so short?
perfect composition to describe landscapes, sunrise and good moments of life ...
talented and effective!
Nice work my friend
have a nice day.
It was ment as a short musical impression from the very beggining and so it remained till this day...but I was always aware that it has undeniable potential for extending, so who knows...maybe one day...but I'm very lazy about revisiting older pieces, because I always look forward to create completely new material...
Anyway...thx very much for your kind and positive comment!:)
You and Ed seem to work well with each other, nice track Orlando! Has a world music feel to it. I like the percussion, the strings and piano you added sound nice.
Wonderful chillout track, close your eyes and let the mind wander.
Yeah, I guess there must be some kind of intuitive chemistry between me and Ed. Till now we've been getting on very well (musicaly and personaly) and I hope there will be many more opportunities to consolidate this level of harmony.
Thx alot for stopping by and posting a kind comment!:)
Tinkly piano is cool. This is like releasing pressure of something with all that shimmering. Reminds me a little of a rain stick, if you know what that is. I think there's also a dulcimer note in that intro (something I've used in quite a few tracks).
Brass blast fits well with audio spoken word samples. And there's some sort of creature screeching.
Lovely guitar fading in with the drums. Plus little blasts of brass.
Beat finally drops and we're fully in the track with some solid, warm bass.
I'm not a big fan of piano in general (I like the low end the most) but like it here.
Maybe some of the beat layering is a little too busy and messy. Could maybe have some hits sculpted out in certain sections.
Shimmering release at the end so it's a return to the beginning. But you cut it off too soon! Gotta let it fade out a bit more. Maybe even ring out and decay with some big delay and/or reverb.
I always appreciate your comprehensive reviews which give me a chance to revisit certain aspects of my works. It's funny sometimes (actualy happens quite often) how certain musical sections for which you put least effort into it, make the biggest impression on the listeners. Such case is that intro. Everybody is raving about it (not only on looperman)...I agree, it sounds pretty cool and it builds quite convincing tension before things start to roll in, but frankly it was a piece of cake for me to make it, which is not the case with the rest of the track being pretty hardworking experience. But regardless of the efforts...in the end we all have to admit that results are the most important, no matter how they were achieved.
Just to mention another funny thing "some sort of creature screeching" is my nephew who was around 10yo at the time I recorded him for a joke...^^
For the conclusion...you might be well right about that outro thing and to be honest I was considering to make it longer, but then decided other way...well, we all make different decisions in the end, dont we?:)
Thx alot again ,mate, and see you along the way____Orlando
It was an enjoyable mental trip for me. The intro is what hooked me in then when things get rolling its a fresh breeze nice piano and brass additions. You bring a very interesting view to Eds sounds the mixture gets me hearing another side of the table which is cool. Simple, expressive, strong mental release production for an 'amateurish musician. Thanks.
Yeah, I was really thinking alot about to what extent my contributions to Ed's music modifie the general feel of his now almost trademark style. Till now, I hope I succeded not to push things too much out of balance and I think Ed's feedback confirms just that. But ofcourse "the other side of the table" is obviously present and as far as it contributes to at least acceptable mixture, everything is ok!
Thx alot for your kind and positive comment, as well as for your frequent passages on my page...
This track is so good I need to comment first before having a listen. It's that good and I know Tumble put his flavorful feel on this. The electronic and raw energy must be energizing because the previpus comments seem to suggest Awesome Collabory. (Yeah, I know it's not word, but so what. It will be, if not already.) To the excitement that awaits... It better be good.
Well...what an interesting approach!^^ This must be a very special subjectivity (based upon apparently objective parameters)on a transcendental level! I feel guilt for not having invented it by myself before...^^

The beginning actually took me on a journey into outer space.
Loving the ambience and the little nuances dropped in between.
And the piano playing introducing the main instrumental and marrying the two pieces together. And the nice touches with the brass.
And I was thinking, this is like an intergalactic jazz piece. Just wonderful floating into the ethereal of outer dimensions. Beautiful cuz!
Keep it up! - Billy.

Some of the shimmering sounds remind me very slightly of an amazing remix by Sasha. Not that much but it's such a great track so check it here:
